WELCOME BACK BISS! Today we are trying something a little bit different... on the main channel we usually cover a lot of true crime which is my main passion but I also have another one that's kind of similar? I love reading thriller and mystery books and I know sometimes with work or with school we don't have time for all the reading we want so I wanted to give you guys a storytelling? summary? of it? Let me know if you like it!
Also we made TikTok famous cloud bread lol

I'm so nervous about this video... Usually when I'm not absorbed in a true crime case I'm usually into a thriller/mystery book so I thought I would try something new and have a cozy book club type vibe with baking... idk if the feeling delivered well into the video so let me know what you think!
ALSO THE MIC IS A SHITSHOW... sorry we're working on perfecting the audio ):

hi
"I didn't kill Gabriel, he killed me. I just pulled the trigger." THE IMPACT THAT LINE HAD
Ikkk
Honestly I had a hard time keeping up with the people in the story cause I am only 14 but I love the story and the book 😂😂
I almost felt bad for her but I don't 😔
So true
Yeah, riiight
Also “I didn’t kill him I just pulled the trigger”, I don’t know why but that is so deep to me. It’s like she’s saying I didn’t ruin him he was already dead inside from doing horrible things. Also he’s dead in her eyes because she realizes that the man she loved was so far from who she thought he was. So i actually understand what she’s trying to say. He died metaphorically already, she just pulled the trigger and ended things.
Yeah that actually reminds me of that Chicago musical song, in which the women sang "It was a murder, but not a crime."
@@ginnundso wow I never thought about the lyrics like that.
I agree with both of you.
yes, and the fact that she claimed “Gabriel killed me.” was also big, because she died first that day. this 3 lines really had me in my feelings 😂😂😂
dang it became this deep in the blink of an eye
Theo was 'happy' he didn't get caught, but it didn't last. The same way he used to stare at snow when he was young, and think how happiness doesn't last and melts away. He looked outside again when he got caught, it was snowing and his 'happiness' just melted away.
Yo I didn’t even catch that this comment just made that last paragraph hit so different
damnnnnnn thats dope
He also mentioned how happiness doesn’t last it’s only momentarily . Ik people with that belief often argue you should achieve peacefulness, not happiness, as peacefulness is long term. Maybe he felt some odd peace getting caught? Idk
But do you remember in the end he says "And then I went to catch another one(snowflake)" that's kinda confusing.
No, I think the snow melting part was showing how relieved he felt when he got caught, just like how he felt when he was a kid outside in the snow.
How can she remember a whole book and I can’t even remember when my zoom meeting is.
righttttt
Right
Exactly I agree
IKR
She said she read the whole book the same day
there isn’t a single soul in the world who’s a better storyteller than steph OMG
IKRR BOIII SHE’s THE BEST STORYTELLER

She’s talented👏🏼😂 Srsly.

BISS MAKE THIS A NEW SERIES. THIS WAS SO FASCINATING TO WATCH. YOU MAKE EVERYTHING SO INTERESTING. AND ALSO BAKING AT THE SAME TIME?? AMAZING.

Agree!

Yes yes yes, I agreee
as a person who studies psychology, most therapists have their own therapists!
but do their therapists have a therapists ??
rei 光 most likely
I'm really interested in psychology and I'm considering studying it at uni. I didn't know that!
Violet I just received my degree in it and if you’re interested, I would suggest to take a PSY 101 course to see if you like it!
Hannibal stuff
This should be made into a series like 'Bake a mystery with Stephanie' lol
i second this

Stephiance: is she cheating or is she talking nasty with people?
Stephanie: I think that’s cheating bebey...👀👀
my reaction was the same with her. I was like "Is here serious rn?" lol
Your 999 likes just turned into 1k
If Stephanie wasn’t a youtuber I think she could totally be a detective or Lawyer

Or be a crime statistic analyst like Simplynaillogical cuz she has an interest in crime and stuff like Stephanie
Agreed
@@jhasenseludo8650 for people who like crime I would recomend forensic files.

this biss has to do more of this... the whole aesthetic and set up and story and the bread baking is sooooooo soothing. You do you stephanie !!!

I could imagine
My face was 👁👄👁 when I saw what the tittle said
Petition for this to bcome a netflix series where stephanie just bakes and talks abt mysteries-
If they were public domain books maybe, but as the books she's summarising are current, the series could be seen as taking potential traction away from the books + copyright issues summarising the whole plot on a tv show.
That's why youtube is so wonderful :)
omg! she did this
Nah, it's better on TH-cam. Netflix makes things boring & there's no comment section.
First of all WE NEED THIS AS A NEW SERIES BISS.
Second of all this book was so unexpected like who would have known that he was the person of interest all along..... mind blown!!!!
Third of all while listening to you I had a lot of theories about Theo and all the other characters but that right there was such a fuxking plot twist... I cant even
Idk why i felt so dumb after the plot twist
@@mimax6391 Exactly. I felt like all the theories and all the events that were shown should of told me he was the person all along but I couldn't even come to that conclusion until stephanie said the conclusion

it sucks bcoz i feel like they only watched the beginning of this video. this is truly a thrilling story btw, thanks for sharing stephanie. hope you do more videos like this.
jadoboo omggg forrr realll I wanna read it sooo bad because it sounds amazing! Even though I know the end of the story
Was the audio had for you too?
The majority of people comment just to get stephanie to see their comment and like it, too bad they don't really care for the storytelling ...
@@nailtalkwithdomo4630yup, there are audio issues

the diversity in this comment section I love it

STEPHANIEEE, you should read ‘The Leaving’ by Tara Altebrando. It’s a mystery book about young teens. The summary is, six five-year-olds go missing without a trace. 11 years later, only five come back and they don’t remember a single thing that has happened to them.
Carolanne Monteleone it is an audiobook too! just search up the title and it’ll pop up.
oh my god, that one was so good!!! I enjoyed it a lot too!
Omg I’m reading it
Ooooh, I’m getting myself on audible to get that right now!!
No audible 😔
Can’t seem to buy a copy of it either
Wow, I felt that when he said "I don't want to die" and the tears just ran through my face as if I was that wife, because he didn't even say I love youuuu and oh wow, Stephanie knows how to tell a story, I mean even though I already know the story now, I want the book
I’ve read this book multiple times and I want to say that one scene you skipped that I felt was really important was when Theo couldn’t confront his wife about her infidelity. It was really heartbreaking when everything came crashing down and he was sobbing silently while his wife was sleeping next to him. I think this was the turning point for him and you can see from a male’s perspective just how vulnerable men can be.
BISSS WE NEED MORE OF THESE. i honestly think i prefer this over the mukbangs- it feels so cozy and like we're reading the book with you, MAKE THIS A SERIES PLEASE
I was not expecting that plot twist. I can imagine the suspense when you’re actually reading the book omgggg
okay wait so..... Alicia is the wife of Gabriel, and Theo is the husband of Cathy.. and Cathy is the one cheating on Theo with Gabriel, so Theo knows and decides to tell Alicia, and all this stuff happens?
Pretty much
yes but her name is spelled Kathy
he literally could of just knocked on the door instead of "meeting her in the back yard" lmao he's the psychopath and hes very mulniplative whole time he had us thinking it was Alicia
@@Hoezluvdezzy Right but i just wanna know why Alicia attacked all those people ?
@@paris3783 probably due to mental distress. Her husband cheated on her whom she loved and she'd been in the grove for what?6 years?
woman really said "I didnt kill him I just pulled the trigger"
like its the next " I didnt kill him. He died of natural causes. Gravitiy is natural"
Nobody asked for this.. But it's sorta like what US Republicans say. 'Guns don't kill people, people kill people.'
@@coltjames9159 omg yessss
He ran into my knife. He ran into my knife ten times
Is it kinda like "I said to him I said 'You pop that gum one more time' and he did so I took the shotgun off the wall and fired to warning shots, into his head"?
@@coltjames9159 I know you didn't ask for my overtly complicated analysis of tropes in literature, but here we go. I don't think it is like the slogan, because she claimed that she didn't kill him the gun did. In other words it's like a uno reverse of it, "I don't kill people, guns kill people." would be more of what she was trying to say. The only similarities I see is that both quotes include guns.
Now this type of defense, (blaming the method/weapon used in a murder rather than the person) seems to show up a lot when a murderer tries to explain themselves in television and books such as people claiming if they drowned a person that they didn't kill them the water did etc. I always wondered why this type of reasoning shows up, was there a really old high profile case that I never learned about? Do people find it such a twisted way of looking at the world too creepy not to include? I wonder about it a lot.

I saw this and watched the first few minutes. Then I decided to read the book on my own first. Now I’m back here after finishing the book today. And gosh. that story made me think about so many theories. I was jumping from person to person that looked suspicious. But the concluding chapters were so plausible and so well-written (IMO). I know everyone from the BISS community already knew how good of a story-teller Stephanie is, but it still amazes me how she can remember all the important details and tell the story like it is considering how complicated the story is.
