I don’t know if this was intentional, but I really appreciate the fact that they got someone to do this video who genuinely understands ASMR and it’s purpose. Amandla never loudly laughed or questioned what she was doing or ASMR in general and has previously mentioned how she likes ASMR herself, which just really shows that she was perfect for this video. You can really see that she was genuinely doing ASMR and trying out things that others who didn’t know ASMR as much wouldn’t pick up on. As someone who listens to ASMR regularly and admittedly didn’t know who Amandla was before this video, she has given me the best and most respectful first impression. Massive respect to Amandla and Fenty ❤️

Andrea D. I think you should definitely give ASMR a go! I used to think it was so strange but now when I watch it, I always have this feeling of calmness and relaxation. It helps me sleep and de-stress! If you’re a little weirded out by it, maybe try out Gracevasmr first as her style is quite casual. I’d recommend Tena Asmr, Gentle Whispering ASMR, ASMRGlow, Latte ASMR and WhispersRedASMR.

im actually quite surprised people didn’t realise who amandla was at first, and also that some people don’t know amandla came out as non-binary a while back, so goes by the pronouns they/them. even though amandla doesn’t mind she/her, most fans do try and respect the pronouns, as everyone should try and do ✊🏼
I don't think people just realize that someone identifies as non-binary, but once they're informed, of course it's common courtesy to use they/them pronouns, but I also like about Amandla (apart from their ASMR) that they don't mind if people refer to them as she/her. I think that some trans/non-binary people are too reactionary when they're being misgendered, when usually letting others know about their preferred pronouns is enough (in my opinion at least), but they're just a loud minority. I know most of them are decent kind hearted people. If someone doesn't respect that, they're not even worth interacting with in the first place. Some people are just assholes.
I admit, I do struggle with using they/them when I've been informed that someone is non-binary since I don't use them often, but I try my best. Best wishes!
