Oh. Mergawd. I have been trying to figure out how to add images back into my uploads without having to download all of them forever! You just changed my life. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Great tutorial. Do you have a tutorial covering actual picture frames. I have an image and I've tried to add a gold picture frame over it, but I'm not having any luck. When I drag the corners, the frame is either too big for the image or it gets cuts off. Thanks
I don't currently have a tutorial that shows that, but if you want to email me a screenshot of the frame you're trying to use, I'd love to better understand what element you're trying to work with in case I end up creating a tip video that covers this. If you'd like to share that, you can send to hello@brendacadman.com 😊
You're so welcome! This video was actually motivated by several people asking me how to solve this specific challenge, and anytime I hear the same question multiple times, that usually means it's a great one to do a video about. 😊
Does the image you saved with the white border around it, does it have a transparent background when you create it, do you save it as a transparent background? Im trying to write myself a tutorial, and its been hit or miss with getting it right.
Ah it's a bit trickier with video because I do find a lot of the frames actually don't allow for a full mobile video to be displayed without cropping it kind of funny. Is the video you're trying to add one that you created in Canva? And is it cutting off the left and right sides of the video?
@@BrendaCadman Yeah it’s a video created in canva. I’ve tried screen recording on my phone, edited it and still won’t fit! I’ve seen sellers on Etsy do it with easy so I’m scratching my head thinking how hard can it be haha!
It's quite likely that the frame space in the phone frame that you're using is a bit too narrow for an actual mobile video, which has always struck me as odd as well. Are you able to resize the dimensions of your Canva video to be a bit more narrow and then try pulling that version into the frame instead, so that the sides don't get cropped off?
I have a question - I'm trying to fit an iphone 15 size photo into a frame for a mockup. There are a couple of iphone 15 size frames on Canva but they have rounded corners and I don't like the way they look - anal, I know - is there a way to actually resize the image pixels to fit into the frame that I want?
It's one of the Canva apps that you need to add... here's a direct link to it. :) www.canva.com/your-apps/AAF0QRD19PU/design-to-image?q=Design+to+Image
Are you able to adjust the photo of the person to create more space above the person's head that can be cropped? If not, I would suggest that you do the following: (1) Create a new design and add the person's photo to the design. Make sure that there's blank space left above their head. (2) Use the Magic Expand feature to fill in the space above their head; I've got a tutorial here on how to do that: th-cam.com/video/UWXLuZCklCU/w-d-xo.html (3) Download the design as an image, or use the Design to Image app; there's a tutorial here on how to use that: th-cam.com/video/RQL7m4AEq1c/w-d-xo.html (4) Then add that image (with the extra space above their head) into the frame. The extra space *should* prevent their head from getting cut off. I think I'll create a tutorial about how to do this as well and hopefully add that to my channel in the next week or so. 😊
@@BrendaCadman Yes I contacted them they said this problem is still going on we will fix it. Now that problem has been fixed. canva support team is very good they contacted me within 12 hours. By the way thanks for reply with a suggestion.
Hmm, can you clarify the steps you're taking? And when you say you get the same thing but with the part around the image that you added, is it still cutting off your image? If so, you may need more empty space around the image that you're pulling into the frame.
@@BrendaCadman Hi, I am doing the steps you show in your video, I add the extra space around the image I want to fit into the frame but it still doesn't fit no matter what I try. I just figured out that I need to resize my image and play with the size until I can finally fit it into the frame. It's a bit annoying and time waster but it works. Thank you anyway!
@@BrendaCadman thanks Brenda, I’ve tried so many platforms to do this and have Canva Pro I was wondering if the file that my logo was supplied in might be the cause? I put the round element on a new design and widen it out so there is be white when I drag the png file over but the square image still cuts off
I don't normally do this as I don't provide 1:1 support but I am super curious to see the image in question so we can figure out what's happening with it... if you send me an email at hello@brendacadman.com with the logo file and either a screenshot or screencast of the frame you're trying to put it into, I'm happy to see if I can pinpoint the issue. 😊

I struggled for about 20 long minutes (felt longer) trying to figure it out. Lol
Thanks for the video!

The examples I used all had white backgrounds - none of them were transparent. 😊
do you know how to do this with video? I'm trying to fit a video into a phone mockup but it always cuts off in the mockup. Any help is appreciated :)

Hii i actually have a photo of a person whos heads r birng cut off due to it please provide me a solution
Are you able to adjust the photo of the person to create more space above the person's head that can be cropped? If not, I would suggest that you do the following:
(1) Create a new design and add the person's photo to the design. Make sure that there's blank space left above their head.

(4) Then add that image (with the extra space above their head) into the frame. The extra space *should* prevent their head from getting cut off.

I'm not able to edit image in canva it shows(to edit an image you need WebGl to be enabled)
But my webgl is already enabled

Hmm, I haven't seen that error before! It sounds like your best bet in that case is probably to submit a support ticket to Canva. 🤔

Can you tell me more? Is it possible there isn't enough space added around the image, so it's still getting cut off as a result?
