You should also probably watch Tommyinnit's video named 'We actually Scammed Dream' as it continues the disc saga and takes place before the election. Also, yes, things are about to really take off.
wilbur has an official dnd alignment chart for the dreamsmp, and technoblade is lawful neutral. His explanation was "Technoblade is VERY lawful neutral. Whilst technoblade may seem chaotic due to his disregard for human life he has still upkept one intrinsic value his entire character arc: FUCK THE GOVERNMENT. Techno has never strayed from this ideal and never will. He will make/lose friends around this idea and won't care."
@@YoBGS DISCLAIMER, the following is about Techno's character on the SMP. AGAIN, THIS IS NOT ABOUT TECHONBLADE HIMSELF but the character he acts out on the SMP. I have no clue how Technoblade is in real life, so basing this on Techno's real life persona would likely be extremely inaccurate and flat-out stupid, as I doubt Techno would behave like that in real life. While Techno's character keep true to his ideals of "Fuck the Government." It is a view point that is Chaotic aligned and even those of a Chaotic alignment can champion causes. Sometimes with just as much if not MORE fervor than someone who is lawful. In fact, I would say that Techno's character is Chaotic Neutral teetering on the line of Chaotic Evil/Neutral Evil from a D&D perspective. The following post will discuss why I think so. Why? Because of a D&D book I read long ago that actually goes pretty deep into the nature of evil, and it's 3 Law/Neutral/Chaos versions. In that book you also got a good look into the nature of the Law/Chaos axis as well so there would be context to understand the book itself. Lawful is, as per that D&D book: A Lawful character will follow the laws and regulations of the government, will always try to honor any deals and bargains they make and would likely expect others to do the same. The idea of committing a crime or breaking a bargain would not sit well with them. And would likely only do so under duress or if convinced it's the ONLY way to save someone or something really important. This ideal also holds true to someone who is Lawful Evil, though only so they can twist the law to their benefit or a loophole that will give them just cause to break a deal or bargain. Techno's Character has NO regard for laws or regulations or bargains/deals, none, this puts his law/chaos axis at the maximum on Neutral. Now, a Neutral individual doesn't mind the law, in any way, it's there, and they will obey it as long as it doesn't become a problem, but they will do what they feel must be done, law be damned. It could fit Techno's character, somewhat, but neutral doesn't really strike me as the law/chaos axis for Techno's character. Chaotic. ANARCHY, Might makes right, There is no law only power, and comments like "Screw the government" or "Stick it to the man," those all belong here, and Techno's character fits most of that to a T. Laws are AT BEST guidelines that can be used to not get in more trouble than you feel like at the time at worst a nuisance to be disregarded with abandon if it gets in the way of your current goals/fun. Depending on a persons disposition a Chaotic individual can be anything from a simple rebellious youth who means well but goes about it unlawfully (Chaotic Good), to a full blown psychopath that relishes the chaos and destruction they wreak(Chaotic Evil). A Chaotic Neutral character would be between these 2 extremes, Chaotic Neutral knows they are breaking the law to get to their goals, they just don't give a damn that they do so. Batman would likely be Chaotic Neutral if he had a D&D alignment. He knows FULLY well that he is breaking the law by being a vigilante, but he doesn't give a damn about that fact as long as he can catch other criminals. Even so, he does have ironclad rules he doesn't break, which is fully possible for a Neutral person to have. Just look at D&D Druids, they have some of the largest restrictions, laws and commitments of any class ever, despite being literally barred from having a lawful or chaotic alignment as well as being, by druidic law, forbidden from wearing metal armor since that is not a natural thing. Chaotic Neutral also fits Techno's Character on the SMP really well, he does what he feels like, but he does have one or more iron clad rules he NEVER breaks for any reason as was mentioned before by other commentators. How, the reason I mentioned that book about evil earlier was also because of a few other worrying things, namely Techno's character have in several instances behaved more akin to Chaotic Evil or Neutral Evil. Again to take a quote from the book: Lawful Evil Want It ALL, Chaotic Evil Want it NOW, but Neutral Evil, the worst of them all, just WANT. Lawful evil is corruption and organized crime, Chaotic evil are the psychotic killer who kill for fun, Neutral Evil... is The Evil that never dies. Neutral Evil are the type that smiles, invites you into their home, comments on the dreadful weather then calmly serves you poisoned coffee before disposing of your body in different garbage bags over the next few weeks. Or just stabs you in the back as you are hanging up your coat. The Sociopath, the Yandere, the evil that KNOWS something is wrong with them, but have no capacity to feel shame or regret for their actions. The Evil that realize that if society knew they would take action to ensure they would not hurt others, so they hide behind a mask of civility and kindness while always ready to enact their next heinous act with the same calm and patience a normal person would contemplate whether to bring an umbrella with them on a cloudy day. Techno's character on the SMP, unfortunately seem terrifyingly similar to this in several aspects, more than happy to be civil about things, but won't hesitate for even a second to sacrifice, backstab or kill his allies if things don't go like Techno wants them to or someone does something he doesn't like. Then there are those bouts of.... insane bloodlust/need for violence, like in the video here. When he has those episodes Techno's character seems all too eager to spill blood for the sake of spilling blood. That's a trait quite similar to what someone who has gone of the deep end and gone batshit psychotic or are LITERAL Demons would do for fun. My Verdict the alignment of Techno's Character; Chaotic Neutral with strong Neutral Evil/Chaotic Evil tendencies, watch out he is as much a danger to his "allies" as he is to his "enemies." personally I would keep tabs on him and try to steer clear as much as possible as at best Techno is unpredictable at worst he could go on a killing spree on a moments notice for all I know. Again this analysis is about the character and role that Technoblade plays on the SMP and does in no way, shape or form mean to reflect on the real life Technoblade.
@@YoBGS Literally everything Schlatt does outside of his side channel "the weekly slap" is a character. His twitter, his videos, basically all publized content no matter if it's on his channel or not.
Yeah, he said that he has set a set of rules for himself and he follows those rules no matter what no matter who he betrays in the process he is only loyal to his own morals.
@@frimi8593 I'd like to think of alignment as not permanent that it can shift so I'd say lawful neutral toward the chaotic side seeing how his actions as of late are both self serving aswell for the few bonds he has For example a lawful good paladin after serving his god for a few years my have some doubts that he truly doing the right thing, so as a test of faith he is sent to purge a village of supposedly evil cultists. he goes to the the village a sees nothing but is told to carry out the mission. So he does since he's trying to prove himself. A week later a crier reports that a small town of worshipers had been destroyed in the night the paladin hearing this realizes that he was the reason for the destruction and that the weren't a cult but a different sect. He goes to the temple to clear this with the priest who gave him the order. He is told that there is no miscommunication and that he did them a great favor of eliminating a rival religious sect so that this one may rise to power. The paladin whole world view is shattered and he leaves becoming an oath breaker and is now seen as evil with the temple and is persecuted even though he is a victim of circumstance
5:19 that is not a canon death. Though it was in a plot relevant event, Ponk’s death there bears no weight on the plot, things could have continued in the same direction without him dying there.
-Dream doesn’t stream the smp, which is pretty great because it adds to the mystery of his character. All we saw of him at this point was a really short conversation with techno where he told him about the secret chest with the book, none of us knew anything beyond what he put in the book (: OH ALSO TUBBO WILL GET HIS DAY HE GETS TO DO LOTS OF STUFF
Something like Ponk’s death didn’t seem planned. Tommy was backing off and questioning whether he should kill him or not. So it wasn’t a canon death. Anything that doesn’t seem planned most likely isn’t canon. ALSO I’d recommend watching Jschlatt’s video: “carrying Technoblade in Minecraft Monday.” It’s interesting now because Technoblade is fighting against Schlatt when he is the only reason Technoblade joined the smp in the first place.
@@sarwatarannya8786 he said in his first stream on the smp (I think, at least) that he wasn’t originally going to join but since Schlatt was there and “he thought he was a cool guy” he decided to log on.
My tell is whether he's important later. If Ponk doesn't come back to be important, I'd call it a canon death. A lot of things weren't planned, such as Eret's betrayal, but I certainly would call that canon. If this were a novel I probably wouldn't say Tommy actually killed him, simce that's obviously a bigger deal outside of minecraft, but I'd keep it in. Maybe Tommy injured him or something. Idk, this plot needs more permanent deaths lol
@@rachelleredd8803 Eret's betrayal was planned, but wilbur said how he didn't tell people some parts of the script so that their reactions would be genuine.
@@bluebook4227 you might be thinking of Techno joining pogtopia? That's something Wilbur hid from Tommy. My information comes from the Eboys podcast, where Tommy says the Eret betrayal was a complete surprise to everyone. I guess that could be untrue if Wilbur just never told Tommy he knew about it? What's your source?
For the DnD question: there is actually an official alignment! Techno is canonically Lawful Neutral, actually, due to his code of being against the government at all costs. There is a video that explains why, but it's a bit spoilery lol.
The next 3 should be: "I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade..." by TommyInnit "Am I the Villain?" by Wilbur Soot "The Festival DISASTER" by Wilbur Soot Some people will recommend TommyInnit's "Technoblade is a strange man" and "Cyberbullying a hostage with Technoblade" but they're more so comedy-centric rather than anything majorly plot related (minus some items swapping hands but "I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade..." should fill in all the gaps regardless). Similarly some people might recommend Technoblade's "The Red Festival" but that's better as a second-watch to get his pespective after Wilbur's festival video as it's more casual with less editing (for example no background music) - I really hope you pick Wilbur's due to the impact it leaves in comparison thanks to the editing and perspective. I recommend the 3 I mentioned and then watching some of the others (like TommyInnit's 2 other videos and Technoblade's festival perspective) in a follow-up binge.
Perfect!!!! much as I want to watch a lot of the side story stuff, admittedly I'm still playing from really far behind. Thank you so much for this primer, just screenshotted for Thursday!
21:20 - if i'm not mistaken, this is from when techno was gifted some things by dream and his access to creative mode lmao also i would say that one thing that helped me wrap my head around stuff was viewing dream as a sort of 'god of chaos'?? he's objectively the most powerful person on the server as the admin but also he orchestrates most if not all of the major conflicts for his own entertainment, which you'll see more of later on. then of course there's techno aka the blood god -- him and dream are sort of on equal footing, which you can tell because of how they interact with each other (they help each other out on occasion but also don't want to oppose each other directly because the fallout would be disastrous). also in reference to tommy, wilbur, techno and dream being the four most powerful on the server -- i would argue it's actually dream, techno and awesamdude, which you'll see why later (sam is not powerful in the sense of pvp or admin rights, but he's also a terrifying force to be reckoned with and i don't want to spoil it because i don't believe you've seen much of him yet?? he was actually one of the first people to be whitelisted to the point that one day he joined and wilbur got worried because he didn't know who sam was lol). 39:03 - wilbur can't kill schlatt because schlatt was technically democratically elected and wilbur doesn't want to be a tyrant (he still wouldn't be president himself).
Dream's role in the kingdom of the Dream SMP will become more apparent later. But basically Eret is _nominally_ the king and the ruler for now. Once you get far enough along I'm sure we'll yell at you to watch Eret's video of what happens right before the revolution.
@@YoBGS After the first war which you reacted to, Dream tells l'manberg to refer to eret as their king, most likely to mess with them seeing as eret literally betrayed them 5 mins prior. Im sure if you see eret in the vods after the first war you'll notice a crown on his head edit: in the future you'll probably explore alot more into the kingship of eret as there is quite a significant story line to his character, but although eret is king, he is really only a figure head, and people like schlatt and dream have the real power, I won't dive in more because spoilers
@@YoBGS There is the Dream SMP and there is L'Manburg, like two countries. Dream was king from Dream SMP, but when Eret made a deal with him to be a traitor in that first L'Manburg war, Eret was made the king of Dream SMP. Schllat is president of Manburg.
@@YoBGS as the others said, Eret is the king of the Dream SMP, Jschlatt is the president of Manberg (formerly L'Manberg). L'Manberg gained independence from the Dream SMP, remember? (Pogtopia has no leaders, it's basically a commune... although I guess Wilbur is the de facto leader.)
Dream is some kind of God in the smp, for that he has great influence (there's a few wildcards tho like techno and tommy that don't fully obey his authority)
The canon death thing is just kinda bs imo, just accept that sometimes when people die, it'd brake the immersion to pretend like they didn't die, so they do die
I never noticed that Wilbur was wearing shirts with different American Presidents until know. First a Bill Clinton shirt, then a Reagan/Bush '84 campaign shirt.
8:54 actually Wilbur put Techno as lawful neutral because he follows his own set of rules, Technoblade doesn't seem to seek chaos on the smp but rather obides by his own moral code
For the festival, I do think Techno’sPOV adds to his character, and I think you get both sides of what happens. But it’s your decision to watch who you want!
Wilbur's a big D&D fan so he made a chart of all the characters' alignments (at least up to when he made it which doesnt include the exile arc) Also, Dream doesn't ever stream the smp bc he knows he would get all the views and wants the others on the smp to grow. It's worked amazingly as everyone he's let on the smp has exponentially grown since joining. So, we never know what dream is thinking or what he does in the meantime (we've never even seen his house so he's currently deemed homeless)
Just because Techno doesn't like government imposed laws doesn't mean he's chaotic. Lawful generally means they have a strict code of ethics that they betray for nobody; even their closest friends.
8:53 technoblade believes that all pain and all suffering is because of government and “power corrupts” so it is his job to stop government that is why he is siding with the rebellion.
Instead of "Technoblades Downfall" by Tommy or "The Festival DISASTER" by Wilbur, watch "The Red Festival" by Techno (has a nice recap and quality of the start is INSANE) Edit: One guy said Wilbur POV is worth watching but Tommy's isn't really
I'd say to watch all of them starting with Wilbur, then Tommy (although he can cut a bunch of that out probably since it repeats a lot of Wilbur's footage) and finally Techno. I think it's worth it, it's such a big event.
Now that you’re coming up on the festival episode that opens much more video options. After you watch the festival episode you can watch SAD-Ists animatic called The Fall for example. PS, I’ve seen people suggesting Technoblades POV of the festival, whilst probably the best POV for the event alone, for the story to stay coherent and make sense you should really stick to Tommy and Wilbur because their characters really start to shine around this time.
Let me just try and explain canon deaths one more time simply. I know other people have many times before but still- Canon deaths happen not only in a plot-relevant setting, but are either planned, are significant to the overall plot For example: Tommy is currently on his last remaining canon life, as he lost his first in the Final Control Room due to Eret (every member of the L'Manberg army lost a life in that incident) and his second in the half heart duel against Dream for L'Manberg. Neither of these deaths were planned beforehand via script, but followed along with the storyline and would change the story if they had not happened and/or are important to the story. Dream being run over by Tommy's minecart is counted as his only "canon" death (the others were merely part of petty battles that didn't have much significance), but WIlbur even stated that no one knows how many canon lives Dream gets, putting a "???" by Dream's name when listing remaining canon lives. Ponk's death, however, while happening in a plot-relevant scenario (Techno first joining Pogtopia), was not in itself important to the story. I agree that the system is a little wonky and could've been figured out better, it's certainly better than having to pick and choose the one "most important" canon death and shrugging the others off
4th day saying this If you want to react to dream smp songs Kanaya and Precious jewel amor make themes for the members and if you want a album of songs oh no he’s back makes album of dream smp songs. By this point in the smp you should be able to react to the 1st album.
If you listen to kanaya and pja, please listen to Amanda fagan and candlebard. I beg you. They made some of my favorite songs and they are criminally underrated Edit: they are 2 different... music makers?(I'm not really sure how to call it) When I read my reply I realised I made it sound like it's "Amanda fagan&candlebard" and they make songs together
5:14 I'm pretty sure Ponk's death here isn't canon. Generally speaking, the "side characters" don't really get canon deaths. Since any deaths they have typically aren't planned, they don't tend to affect the story at all, so they're usually not considered canon. 8:52 In the words of Wilbur (who is a DM, fun fact): *"Technoblade is VERY lawful neutral. Whilst Technoblade may seem chaotic due to his disregard for human life, he has still upkept one intrinsic value his entire character arc: FUCK THE GOVERNMENT. Techno has never strayed from this ideal and never will. He will make/lose friends around this idea and won't care."* 34:50 Since Dream never streams on the SMP, we can't know for sure exactly what he was doing at all times. Thanks to Techno, we do know a few things, though. On one of Techno's streams, he met Dream at the top of a cliff, and Dream gave him a bunch of resources to help with the rebellion. Dream also placed the chest in Pogtopia that "came from God," which contained that book, some armour and ender pearls, and his OP crossbow. And fun fact of the day - when Wilbur mentioned a "quote book" at the end of the third video, he wasn't joking. He genuinely has a whole list of just weird things his friends have said. He's read from it on stream before, and like 80% of all the quotes in there are just from Tommy.
2:42 Since Techno has two alt accounts with the names "Whitelisted" and "Whitelisted 2" chances are that he LITERALLY was whitelisted when he said that
I feel like the hype has a lot to do with the fact this SMP has successfully established itself as an interactive improv comedy drama show. The fact they work from an underlying structured narrative and have some pretty diverse and talented streamers to pull it off really makes this work.
They don’t just kill and do the rebellion right now because they have a written script they operate from and if it’s an instant transfer of power, it diminishes the impact of the entire arc. It would be over too quickly and not feel as significant or impactful. It’s about the story, not just winning in a swift and uneventful manner.
I'd make him lawfull neutral, as lawful doesn't necessarily mean against chaos, but it means to follow the laws that you set out for yourself, you can be lawful without following laws. Techno has a strong moral code, and he rarely breaks that moral code, which could be seen as his laws
In the original stream they'd been talking about how some of the recent California wildfires had been started by a gender reveal party. When Tubbo revealed that he told Schlatt he was pregnant, Techno immediately said "we're gonna need another forest"
The castle was built by Eret, since he became the King of the SMP and all. There was actually a fairly big time skip between the end of the revolution and the election for you I think? Also Hbomb lives there for some reason lol, they're housemates. Or... castlemates?
with the canon deaths, its pretty simple really.. there are events that are planned and if someone is MEANT to die or is plot relevant that or a death that occured in a planned massacre is a canon death.
Yay! I love these videos! I look forward to seeing them each week. This last group set the scene for a lot of big things that are coming. Just a bit of info that you might have missed. The chest “from God” was from Dream and had the book that Wibur read plus a fully decked out set of armor and weapons for Tommy in it. That’s where he got the Netherite from. For the next group I would recommend “I finally teamed with Dream and Technoblade” by Tommy, “Am I the Villain” by Wilbur, and “The Red Festival by Technoblade.” The Festival Disaster by Wilbur is also a really important viewpoint of one of the biggest events in the saga, so I would recommend it as well. Thank you and I look forward to watching your next SMP video!
Oh man Schlatt makes such a good villain I wish we could see your reaction to the way Schlatt, Quackity and Tubbo interact at this point in the story but there doesn't seem to be a good video on that - you really just have to watch their past streams. It provides some good (but sad) Tubbo moments but sadly Tubbo and Quackity don't make highlight plot videos for the Dream SMP. Which sucks since Tubbo is without a doubt my favorite character in this, but oh well Excited to see you catch up!
before you get to the festival, i encourage you to watch "Dear Friend.." by Nihachu! It's not that long but provides some of her perspective and thoughts
"if there's anybody on the smp you'd want to share a dirt shack with, ... you'd probably want to share a dirt shack with wilbur." ohoh... the biggest fucking grin that appeared on my face as you said that...
@@YoBGS i mean joining a rebellion doesn't sound too bad at all, but i can tell you ONE thing: you're going to have an absolute field day in the next episode
Wilbur made an very in depth alignment chart on Reddit. Don't read it until you're caught up. He states that Technoblade is VERY Lawful Neutral, even though some might think he's chaotic. This starts to make sense as the storyline goes on. He only has 1 goal in mind and will never betray his personal ideals
Videos you should watch next: Tommy - I finally teamed with Dream and Technoblade Wilbur - Am I the Villain? Wilbur - The Manberg festival Disaster Sad ist - Dream smp animatic - The Fall
when techno first joined, he didn't really care much for the rp aspect but as you go further through the story you'll see him start to get more deep into it and his character!
The easiest way to discern whether a death is canon or not is to ask if it's relevant to the plot. Ex: Ponk's death was during a plot-relevant scene but it wasn't relevant to the plotline overall. Deaths like in Eret's betrayal were important to lead into Tommy vs Dream shootout, etc. while Tommy panic killing Ponk isn't as important because if he didn't it wouldn't affect their way back to Pogtopia. There are better examples of this later on because people got very blood-hungry during this arc
OKAY I have suggestion for what you could watch next. FundyLIVE: The War Against Sapnap... - This video takes place BEFORE the election but it's the first video in the Pet Wars series and has some relevant context for the next video which is: Tommyinnit: I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade - This one also has more to do with Sapnap's storyline than the Pogtopia one but it's an absolute MUST-SEE and it deals with the alliance between Dream and Pogtopia! Wilbur Soot: Am I the Villain? - I mean you can tell by the title, this one is gonna be important Optional short extra: Niki Nihachu: Dear Friend.... - this is an eight and a half minute video that sums up the Schlatt administration from Niki's point of view as a citizen of Manberg. I know this is four videos but both Fundy and Niki's are very short. EXPLANATION: So the thing is, there are a LOT of good videos upcoming but most of them are not plot relevant and you could just watch them separately as standalone videos later. And the reason why I'm suggesting Fundy and Niki is because after "Am I the Villain" all the videos are gonna be different POVs of the same event so you wanna watch those at the same time, I'd say. Unless you prefer to watch Wilbur's POV only at first and then save the other POVs for the next installment, I guess, you do you. But to me it makes sense to get the whole story of the event in one go, I guess.
Here are my thoughts on the other upcoming "filler" videos (all Tommy's) that I think you can either skip or watch separately: (You could of course just watch one of these instead of Fundy or Niki) Technoblade is a strange man - funny video, not relevant to the plot at all - has Hbomb and Skeppy in it tho - I suggest: skip for now, maybe watch later Ninja is the funniest minecraft player ever - has some vaguely plot related scenes but mostly it's just goofing off with the guest - also you pretty much already heard all the plot stuff (the book from Dream, the visas) in the last video here - skip, maybe watch later if you want to see the players messing around with Ninja I Spoke To Dream's Sister - an absolute classic, basically a must-see - has nothing to do with plot though - skip for now, DEFINITELY watch later (or watch as a standalone video) Cyberbullying a hostage with Technoblade - this video is so painfully awkward oh my god - not super plot relevant, the hostage thing never really comes back other than as a quick off-hand reference, but it does sort of show them doing resistance business or at least what Tommy _thinks_ is resistance business - does have some really funny bits, especially from Tubbo, but idk - skip, maybe watch later - although if you're going to watch any of these for plot progression, this one is the one to watch - okay to be entirely honest, I just don't like this video, I might just be really biased and you shouldn't listen to me about skipping it lmao
For the actual Festival videos: Wilbur Soot: The Festival DISASTER - I would definitely watch this one first, for Reasons - also Tommy's starts with a spoilery clip, not great Tommyinnit: The Fall of Technoblade - ETA: actually I changed my mind, you can absolutely skip this one, I'm rewatching Wilbur's video rn and it's just so much better and has pretty much everything in it already. Technoblade: The Red Festival - FIRST TECHNO VIDEO FROM THE DREAM SMP LET'S GOOOO - as you might imagine, has a VERY different POV of the Festival, very much worth watching even after you've already seen two videos of the same event EXTRA: Technothepig: Technoblade brings Badboyhalo to the dark side... - this video is only two minutes so if you're not too tired after all three main videos, it's not that much more to watch - features a scene from the aftermath of the festival and a hint at a different future plotline (The Badlands) - Technothepig is Techno's second channel Niki also has a video of the Festival called "The day it all escalated". It's maybe not worth watching the _whole_ thing but I'd recommend at least watching the first scene with Tubbo and the last bit at around 32:50 which is a really beautiful little scene between Niki, Tubbo and Tommy that Tommy sadly left out of his video. You could also check out Fundy's POV in his video called "The Dream SMP Festival..." where you can see his POV of the whole rivalry he had with Techno (which is just great material honestly) OR you can just jump right to around 12:00 and instead watch the aftermath of the Festival from Manberg's point of view, which I think could be interesting for you too. There's some great Schlatt content there and some _hints_ about future events too. Obviously none of the Pogtopians were on this call so it's not in any of the other videos. Plus it's probably the funniest one of these. I know that's a LOT of content from just one event (and honestly there's even more actually...) but idk, I think it's all kind of worth at least suggesting if nothing else.
In the full stream of the last video, Wilbur reads a bunch of the Tommy quotebook. One of my favourites is "I'll get you another wife Phil. I have a gun!" The full vods are worth watching in your spare time imho
For the next binge-watch, I'd recommend the videos "Technoblade is a strange man " (Tommy), "Cyberbullying a hostage with Technoblade" (Tommy) ((Ok, so this one is slightly more funny than plot-relevent, but it's absolutely hilarious and explains the existence of an important building...)), "I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade... " (Tommy) and "Am I the Villain? (Dream SMP)" (Wilbur Soot). I hope this is helpful!
14:51 actually techno would stay online for 14 hours his first day also you can't kill schlatt because it would be boring and the finale wouldn't be as cool as it was
the issue with killing schlatt is a trope you’ll find out at the climax of the manberg arc. i won’t spoil it until you react to it, but there’s a very good reason why they don’t want to risk killing schlatt just yet.
Cannon deaths only really come into play, after the festival. Currently Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo, Fundy, and Nikki all have one death from Eret's trap. I don't think anyone else has any cannon deaths at this point, but I may be wrong.
i actually think techno's character can be interpreted in a many ways. On one hand techno is an anarchist, so the obvious would classifying hin as chaotuc but the reason he is anarchist is because he believes that only the individual can understand their own needs and the welfare of the many cannot be put up to a government. so in that way he can be considered lawful
When you get to the finale of this season (so to say) I suggest Blueberry TV’s video. They aren’t very well known but they are able to condense everyone’s perspective into a 40 minute video while not really losing the plot. It is also nice to see since we can focus on all of the different things happening simultaneously. It’s called the Manburg vs Pogtopia war| Dream smp finale
This is where I would put each character, personally: Tommy: chaotic good Tubbo: lawful/chaotic good Wilbur(l'manberg arc): lawful neutral Wilbur(pogtopia arc): neutral/chaotic evil Ghostbur: lawful neutral/neutral good Niki: lawful/neutral good Fundy: true neutral/neutral good Schlatt: lawful evil Techno: lawful/chaotic neutral Dream: honestly dream can be anywhere from lawful neutral to chaotic evil Eret: chaotic neutral George: true neutral Sapnap: chaotic neutral Ranboo: lawful/neutral good Quackity: chaotic good/lawful neutral I think I got everyone plot-relevent, let me know if I missed anyone. These are just my opinions, too. Yes, I use 'neutral' too much.
If they do that, they don't know if everyone in L'Manburg will follow them again, since that's going against democracy, making them more like dictators. And they didn't want this. First is getting more power to fight against Schllat, and making allies. After that they can attack. Remember, Quackity is VP, if Schllat dies, he became president.
random fun fact: tubbo's skin is actually tweek from south park. thats why the buttons are all skewed and why he has blonde hair instead of brown like irl
The castle is for the KING. As you can see, Eret has a crown on his head because Dream command him to turn against L'manburg BEFORE. The betrayal of Eret is one of the big things happened and because of that, Dream turns Eret the KING of the DreamSMP and builds his castle BUT, there's a rule. Dream says that Eret needs to stay neutral or else, he will be dethroned by Dream and change him with the 2nd in Command which is...... Dream is hiding from the shadow, the one that Technoblade is says the “God”.
On the first war, yes. But idk if president is the right term to Eret because his kingship is in control of Dream. If he broke their agreement then Dream will replace him with the “2nd in Command”.
I'm not completely sure but I think that canon deaths are deaths written into the script. Example:Tommy,Tubbo,Wilbur and Fundy were meant to die in the Final Control Room ambush. Where as in two different universes Ponk died or didn't. (In the first video you watched in this video)
Wilbur's actually a giant dnd fan and made an entire alignment chart for the people on the smp. He put Techno at lawful neutral, here's a quote from him: "Technoblade is VERY lawful neutral. Whilst technoblade may seem chaotic due to his disregard for human life he has still upkept one intrinsic value his entire character arc: FUCK THE GOVERNMENT. Techno has never strayed from this ideal and never will. He will make/lose friends around this idea and won't care."
Wilbur actually posted a dnd alignment chart on some of the characters in the SMP. One of which is Technoblade and Wilbur states the reason why he is what he is.
Plot family info: Philza is the dad of Wilbur, Techno and Tommy & found Tubbo in a box on the side of the road (adopted) Tommy is the youngest, Wilbur is the oldest brother, Techno is the middle brother Fundy’s father is Wilbur & his mother is a fish names Sally (i think)
The family relationships thing is kinda controversial. It's something Wilbur and Phil said was canon but Techno said it wasn't. And Tommy and Tubbo kinda just ignore it for the most part. I think it makes way more sense to just agree that Wilbur is Phil's son and Fundy is Wil's son and that's all. Those three are the only ones who actually roleplay as family.
They have multiple cannonic deaths. the ability to respa2n is cannon, until they just cant, rainbows first cannon death was on a techno stream. to a llama named clarencio
Wilbur made a Alignment for a lot of the SMP members But i recommend you to look at it AFTER you see the video "I fought Technoblade and Dream" and "The finale" the first one from Tommy and the second one is from Wilbur After you watch those videos, then you see the alignment charge
Dream's importance in the SMP will become more apparent later in the plot. He is the supreme leader of the Dream SMP itself (to not complicate things, the country itself has been referred to as the "Greater Dream SMP," rather than the server). Dream himself I would classify as teetering on the edge of chaotic neutral/chaotic evil (although Wilbur has confirmed that he is chaotic evil). He has two goals: the first is to destroy L'Manberg/Manberg and unite everyone under one rule. His rule, in the Greater Dream SMP. He is willing to betray friendships, create friendships/alliances, make deals, or switch sides to achieve this goal. His second, secondary goal that eventually leads to the former goal is to incite chaos and discord amongst everyone else. (Yes I know this is my fourth comment on this video, but screw you I don't care)
Techno comes across as Chaotic Neutral, but once you get further into his story arc he comes across as true Neutral. He has his own code of honor and goals, and he *sticks* to them even when it causes stife with the rest of his allies.
I think I answered the "who's side you were on" question last time but my answer hasn't changed: anarchy for the win! And finally I got someone to root for on the server :D
For the canon deaths, I'm pretty sure they are only canon when they are scripted, of course, unless they make a special exception. Like there was no purposeful lead-up to Ponk being killed by Tommy, it was just on the fly. I'm not 100% sure if I'm correct but I think that is the gist.
In video reasons the next one is Ninja is the funniest Minecraft player but really you can skip over that but it’s about the Visa cards. And the next two are Wilburs 2 next videos those are plot relevant and actually really important
also when it comes to canon deaths, a death is only canon when it is widely significant to the plot/event, or is going to change or shift the dynamic. ponk's death was relevant to what was happening but nothing changes in the story BECAUSE of his death so it is not canon.
Here’s the question. If Tubbo is pregnant, WHO IS THE FATHER?!?! Also, are things about to kick off or REALLY kick off?
the father is probably a tree not gonna lie
You should also probably watch Tommyinnit's video named 'We actually Scammed Dream' as it continues the disc saga and takes place before the election. Also, yes, things are about to really take off.
I would have to say it would,
"I LIKE DA BEE!"
A Bee
Tubbo is not a human, hes a whole different species he reproduces asexually like a fricken plant
wilbur has an official dnd alignment chart for the dreamsmp, and technoblade is lawful neutral.
That’s a good point! He’s true to his principles even if they don’t seem to align with anyone else’s principles...
Considering current plot points, this is more true than ever.
@@Lunaraia dude wrote a book
@@Lunaraia the voices command blood for the blood god
no schlatt is definitely playing a character, he's really good at that sort of thing
He's bloody amazing, I enjoyed him so much
Then he is incredible at it because I legit believed he was, ya know, that.
@@YoBGS Schlatt is also a comedian, so whenever he is on stream he puts on a persona
@@YoBGS Literally everything Schlatt does outside of his side channel "the weekly slap" is a character. His twitter, his videos, basically all publized content no matter if it's on his channel or not.
Wilbur has actually said that Techno's D&D alignment is Lawful Neutral
He constantly switches between lawful neutral and chaotic evil
Yeah, he said that he has set a set of rules for himself and he follows those rules no matter what no matter who he betrays in the process he is only loyal to his own morals.
@@frimi8593 well neutral is just good + evil and techno is a lawful character (idealistic not actual laws) so he constantly is lawful neutral so..
@@frimi8593 I'd like to think of alignment as not permanent that it can shift so I'd say lawful neutral toward the chaotic side seeing how his actions as of late are both self serving aswell for the few bonds he has
For example a lawful good paladin after serving his god for a few years my have some doubts that he truly doing the right thing, so as a test of faith he is sent to purge a village of supposedly evil cultists. he goes to the the village a sees nothing but is told to carry out the mission.
@@kkTeaz neutral is not just good + evil
5:19 that is not a canon death. Though it was in a plot relevant event, Ponk’s death there bears no weight on the plot, things could have continued in the same direction without him dying there.
-Dream doesn’t stream the smp, which is pretty great because it adds to the mystery of his character. All we saw of him at this point was a really short conversation with techno where he told him about the secret chest with the book, none of us knew anything beyond what he put in the book (:
OH ALSO TUBBO WILL GET HIS DAY HE GETS TO DO LOTS OF STUFF
Something like Ponk’s death didn’t seem planned. Tommy was backing off and questioning whether he should kill him or not. So it wasn’t a canon death. Anything that doesn’t seem planned most likely isn’t canon.
ALSO I’d recommend watching Jschlatt’s video: “carrying Technoblade in Minecraft Monday.”
It’s interesting now because Technoblade is fighting against Schlatt when he is the only reason Technoblade joined the smp in the first place.
wait what? why would techno join the smp only bcos of schlatt
That makes sense, and that's *kinda* what I remembered hearing before but now that he's finally IN the server I had to freshen my memory on everything
Nobody:
YoBGS: Is that a CANON DEATH ?
To be fair, that's the problem with the canon deaths concept. Nobody can tell what counts and what doesn't
@@syystomu I know, it's just funny how much he mentiones it :D
Definately Canon
Good point. It wasn't canon. It was a bow. Silly me.
Canon deaths are usually when there’s a major plot going on. Just like when Quackity confronted Technoblade in the escape tunnel.
The next 3 should be:
"I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade..." by TommyInnit
"Am I the Villain?" by Wilbur Soot
"The Festival DISASTER" by Wilbur Soot
Some people will recommend TommyInnit's "Technoblade is a strange man" and "Cyberbullying a hostage with Technoblade" but they're more so comedy-centric rather than anything majorly plot related (minus some items swapping hands but "I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade..." should fill in all the gaps regardless).
@@YoBGS No problem, can’t wait to see your reactions to the key moments to come. Hope you enjoy! 👍
100% agree. Also, Techno's Festival side is a good one to watch later for sure. It shows the side of the festival Wilbur missed.
21:20 - if i'm not mistaken, this is from when techno was gifted some things by dream and his access to creative mode lmao
also i would say that one thing that helped me wrap my head around stuff was viewing dream as a sort of 'god of chaos'?? he's objectively the most powerful person on the server as the admin but also he orchestrates most if not all of the major conflicts for his own entertainment, which you'll see more of later on.
then of course there's techno aka the blood god -- him and dream are sort of on equal footing, which you can tell because of how they interact with each other (they help each other out on occasion but also don't want to oppose each other directly because the fallout would be disastrous).
also in reference to tommy, wilbur, techno and dream being the four most powerful on the server -- i would argue it's actually dream, techno and awesamdude, which you'll see why later (sam is not powerful in the sense of pvp or admin rights, but he's also a terrifying force to be reckoned with and i don't want to spoil it because i don't believe you've seen much of him yet?? he was actually one of the first people to be whitelisted to the point that one day he joined and wilbur got worried because he didn't know who sam was lol).
39:03 - wilbur can't kill schlatt because schlatt was technically democratically elected and wilbur doesn't want to be a tyrant (he still wouldn't be president himself).
I'm pretty sure it's the book he wrote to Tommy and the crossbow
Dream's role in the kingdom of the Dream SMP will become more apparent later. But basically Eret is _nominally_ the king and the ruler for now. Once you get far enough along I'm sure we'll yell at you to watch Eret's video of what happens right before the revolution.
Wait Eret is king? I thought Schlatt was the king?
@@YoBGS After the first war which you reacted to, Dream tells l'manberg to refer to eret as their king, most likely to mess with them seeing as eret literally betrayed them 5 mins prior. Im sure if you see eret in the vods after the first war you'll notice a crown on his head
edit: in the future you'll probably explore alot more into the kingship of eret as there is quite a significant story line to his character, but although eret is king, he is really only a figure head, and people like schlatt and dream have the real power, I won't dive in more because spoilers
6:28 that was definitely techno's adhd kicking in XD
I FELT that lol
Dream is some kind of God in the smp, for that he has great influence (there's a few wildcards tho like techno and tommy that don't fully obey his authority)
That's kinda awesome!
The canon death thing is just kinda bs imo, just accept that sometimes when people die, it'd brake the immersion to pretend like they didn't die, so they do die
Oh I know, but when something is only semi-continuous I have to meme on it!
My two favorite moments in this video are the "Tubbo is pregnant" and Tommy forgetting straight people exist :))
Wilbur himself calls Techno’s character lawful neutral
I never noticed that Wilbur was wearing shirts with different American Presidents until know. First a Bill Clinton shirt, then a Reagan/Bush '84 campaign shirt.
8:54 actually Wilbur put Techno as lawful neutral because he follows his own set of rules, Technoblade doesn't seem to seek chaos on the smp but rather obides by his own moral code
For the festival, I do think Techno’sPOV adds to his character, and I think you get both sides of what happens. But it’s your decision to watch who you want!
Wilbur's a big D&D fan so he made a chart of all the characters' alignments (at least up to when he made it which doesnt include the exile arc)
Also, Dream doesn't ever stream the smp bc he knows he would get all the views and wants the others on the smp to grow.
Instead of "Technoblades Downfall" by Tommy or "The Festival DISASTER" by Wilbur, watch "The Red Festival" by Techno (has a nice recap and quality of the start is INSANE)
Edit: One guy said Wilbur POV is worth watching but Tommy's isn't really
But in doing this you miss out on a lot of character development with Tommy and Wilbur
I'd say to watch all of them starting with Wilbur, then Tommy (although he can cut a bunch of that out probably since it repeats a lot of Wilbur's footage) and finally Techno. I think it's worth it, it's such a big event.
Actually I changed my mind, Tommy's POV is totally skippable. But he should still watch both Wilbur and Techno's and Wilbur's first.
Now that you’re coming up on the festival episode that opens much more video options. After you watch the festival episode you can watch SAD-Ists animatic called The Fall for example.
PS, I’ve seen people suggesting Technoblades POV of the festival, whilst probably the best POV for the event alone, for the story to stay coherent and make sense you should really stick to Tommy and Wilbur because their characters really start to shine around this time.
i’d definitely be sharing a dirt shack with bbh
edit: he’s probably one of the only ones i could stand lmao
I haven't seen much of his solo stuff before but he definitely seems like the most mellow.
I'd rather share a dirt shack with techno
I'd share with Fundy, i love him
Let me just try and explain canon deaths one more time simply. I know other people have many times before but still-
Canon deaths happen not only in a plot-relevant setting, but are either planned, are significant to the overall plot
For example: Tommy is currently on his last remaining canon life, as he lost his first in the Final Control Room due to Eret (every member of the L'Manberg army lost a life in that incident) and his second in the half heart duel against Dream for L'Manberg.
I agree that the system is a little wonky and could've been figured out better, it's certainly better than having to pick and choose the one "most important" canon death and shrugging the others off
4th day saying this
If you want to react to dream smp songs Kanaya and Precious jewel amor make themes for the members and if you want a album of songs oh no he’s back makes album of dream smp songs. By this point in the smp you should be able to react to the 1st album.
I see you! I'm just working through a lot of stuff on my list at the moment so I'm not sure when I'll be able to check them out
If you listen to kanaya and pja, please listen to Amanda fagan and candlebard. I beg you. They made some of my favorite songs and they are criminally underrated
Edit: they are 2 different... music makers?(I'm not really sure how to call it)
When I read my reply I realised I made it sound like it's "Amanda fagan&candlebard" and they make songs together
He will make/lose friends around this idea and won't care."*
34:50 Since Dream never streams on the SMP, we can't know for sure exactly what he was doing at all times.
2:42
Since Techno has two alt accounts with the names "Whitelisted" and "Whitelisted 2" chances are that he LITERALLY was whitelisted when he said that
"there is alot of terrorforming going on, it's like terraforming but awful because it's office related"
how my man has grown. first casual quote.
I feel like the hype has a lot to do with the fact this SMP has successfully established itself as an interactive improv comedy drama show. The fact they work from an underlying structured narrative and have some pretty diverse and talented streamers to pull it off really makes this work.
I was totally for pogtopia, I mean newly elected leaders kicking out their opposition without cause is not democracy but tyranny.
Yo man You should watch "Technoblade Never Dies- Why Techno Beat Dream" by Frostbyte Freeman
Oh man Schlatt makes such a good villain
I wish we could see your reaction to the way Schlatt, Quackity and Tubbo interact at this point in the story but there doesn't seem to be a good video on that - you really just have to watch their past streams. It provides some good (but sad) Tubbo moments but sadly Tubbo and Quackity don't make highlight plot videos for the Dream SMP. Which sucks since Tubbo is without a doubt my favorite character in this, but oh well
Excited to see you catch up!
before you get to the festival, i encourage you to watch "Dear Friend.." by Nihachu!
It's not that long but provides some of her perspective and thoughts
Here is the thing about techno in this story, he is consistent with his morals and not necessarily a villain, he is imo lawful neutral.
"Already made a crawlspace in dreams home"
But isnt dream homeless? XD
"if there's anybody on the smp you'd want to share a dirt shack with, ... you'd probably want to share a dirt shack with wilbur."
ohoh... the biggest fucking grin that appeared on my face as you said that...
Yup XD
Oooooh boy, the next episode... It will be.... Interesting
I mean, in my limited knowledge, the worst he'll do is try and tell you to join a rebellion, best case scenario he writes a song about you
@@YoBGS i mean joining a rebellion doesn't sound too bad at all, but i can tell you ONE thing:
you're going to have an absolute field day in the next episode
Wilbur made an very in depth alignment chart on Reddit. Don't read it until you're caught up. He states that Technoblade is VERY Lawful Neutral, even though some might think he's chaotic. -Technoblade
when techno first joined, he didn't really care much for the rp aspect but as you go further through the story you'll see him start to get more deep into it and his character!
The election was for L'Manburg not for the whole Dream SMP. That's why Dream didn't run.
OKAY I have suggestion for what you could watch next.
FundyLIVE: The War Against Sapnap...
- This video takes place BEFORE the election but it's the first video in the Pet Wars series and has some relevant context for the next video which is:
Tommyinnit: I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade
- This one also has more to do with Sapnap's storyline than the Pogtopia one but it's an absolute MUST-SEE and it deals with the alliance between Dream and Pogtopia!
Wilbur Soot: Am I the Villain?
- I mean you can tell by the title, this one is gonna be important
Optional short extra: Niki Nihachu: Dear Friend....
- this is an eight and a half minute video that sums up the Schlatt administration from Niki's point of view as a citizen of Manberg. I know this is four videos but both Fundy and Niki's are very short.
EXPLANATION:
So the thing is, there are a LOT of good videos upcoming but most of them are not plot relevant and you could just watch them separately as standalone videos later.
Here are my thoughts on the other upcoming "filler" videos (all Tommy's) that I think you can either skip or watch separately:
(You could of course just watch one of these instead of Fundy or Niki)
Technoblade is a strange man
- funny video, not relevant to the plot at all
- has Hbomb and Skeppy in it tho
- I suggest: skip for now, maybe watch later
Ninja is the funniest minecraft player ever
- has some vaguely plot related scenes but mostly it's just goofing off with the guest
- also you pretty much already heard all the plot stuff (the book from Dream, the visas) in the last video here
- skip, maybe watch later if you want to see the players messing around with Ninja
I Spoke To Dream's Sister
- an absolute classic, basically a must-see
- has nothing to do with plot though
- skip for now, DEFINITELY watch later (or watch as a standalone video)
Cyberbullying a hostage with Technoblade
- this video is so painfully awkward oh my god
- not super plot relevant, the hostage thing never really comes back other than as a quick off-hand reference, but it does sort of show them doing resistance business or at least what Tommy _thinks_ is resistance business
- does have some really funny bits, especially from Tubbo, but idk
- skip, maybe watch later
- although if you're going to watch any of these for plot progression, this one is the one to watch
- okay to be entirely honest, I just don't like this video, I might just be really biased and you shouldn't listen to me about skipping it lmao
For the actual Festival videos:
Wilbur Soot: The Festival DISASTER
- I would definitely watch this one first, for Reasons
- also Tommy's starts with a spoilery clip, not great
Tommyinnit: The Fall of Technoblade
- ETA: actually I changed my mind, you can absolutely skip this one, I'm rewatching Wilbur's video rn and it's just so much better and has pretty much everything in it already.
Technoblade: The Red Festival
- FIRST TECHNO VIDEO FROM THE DREAM SMP LET'S GOOOO
- as you might imagine, has a VERY different POV of the Festival, very much worth watching even after you've already seen two videos of the same event
EXTRA:
Technothepig: Technoblade brings Badboyhalo to the dark side...
- this video is only two minutes so if you're not too tired after all three main videos, it's not that much more to watch
- features a scene from the aftermath of the festival and a hint at a different future plotline (The Badlands)
- Technothepig is Techno's second channel
Niki also has a video of the Festival called "The day it all escalated".
I have a gun!"
The full vods are worth watching in your spare time imho
For the next binge-watch, I'd recommend the videos "Technoblade is a strange man
" (Tommy), "Cyberbullying a hostage with Technoblade" (Tommy) ((Ok, so this one is slightly more funny than plot-relevent, but it's absolutely hilarious and explains the existence of an important building...)), "I finally teamed with Dream & Technoblade...
" (Tommy) and "Am I the Villain? (Dream SMP)" (Wilbur Soot). I hope this is helpful!
God the end made me laugh so hard. A younger brother messing up while the older brothers laugh at him. And then he calls dad on them🤣
You should react next
I teamed up with dream and technoblade (by tommy)
Am i a villain (by wilbur)
The festival (you choose tommy,wilbur,technoblade)
14:51 actually techno would stay online for 14 hours his first day
also you can't kill schlatt because it would be boring and the finale wouldn't be as cool as it was
Tommy and wilbur are literally brothers
technoblade is living in YoBGS's roof if you didn't know
Living in his crawlspace.
yes
The channel memes
So that is why I am always hearing crops being farmed
In the background
the issue with killing schlatt is a trope you’ll find out at the climax of the manberg arc. i won’t spoil it until you react to it, but there’s a very good reason why they don’t want to risk killing schlatt just yet.
Techno is lawful neutral, there is a video for the reason why somewhere.
Later in the smp, I promise two things:
1: Tubbo will get his days
2: Your crawl space meme will evolve
Also I was Pogtopian.
Wilbur's coat is a reference to a musical and the future.
I would share a dirt shake with dream, as he has a super evil lair, such a good house
It's the biggest house on the server, it just goes to a different school.
The server got so much better after Techno joined. now it's getting good!
The answer for every "why does this not happen?" is that it's not in the script..
dreams goal is kind of the same as techno's honestly to have l'manberg gone and the smp being one big collective
So the impending duo is the great evil and the great good?
When you get to the finale of this season (so to say) I suggest Blueberry TV’s video. They aren’t very well known but they are able to condense everyone’s perspective into a 40 minute video while not really losing the plot. It is also nice to see since we can focus on all of the different things happening simultaneously. It’s called the Manburg vs Pogtopia war| Dream smp finale
This is where I would put each character, personally:
Tommy: chaotic good
Tubbo: lawful/chaotic good
Wilbur(l'manberg arc): lawful neutral
Wilbur(pogtopia arc): neutral/chaotic evil
Ghostbur: lawful neutral/neutral good
Niki: lawful/neutral good
Fundy: true neutral/neutral good
Schlatt: lawful evil
Techno: lawful/chaotic neutral
Dream: honestly dream can be anywhere from lawful neutral to chaotic evil
Eret: chaotic neutral
George: true neutral
Sapnap: chaotic neutral
Ranboo: lawful/neutral good
Quackity: chaotic good/lawful neutral
I think I got everyone plot-relevent, let me know if I missed anyone. These are just my opinions, too. Yes, I use 'neutral' too much.
techno is 100% pure chaos (chaotic neutral).
They don't just casually kill schlatt and call it a win for the simple reason that that would be very boring
Would it be boring or would it have ultimately just gotten them wiped off the face of the server.
Hahahaha now I'm into it even more!
Chaotic neutral is pretty accurate
Really good point about the way they use music in setting the mood and to tell the story around 7:30
So wait, Eret and Schlatt aren't at war despite being the presidents of opposite factions?
On the first war, yes. But idk if president is the right term to Eret because his kingship is in control of Dream. If he broke their agreement then Dream will replace him with the “2nd in Command”.
Eret and Ponk: have a netherite chestplate
Yobgs: they have no armour on
George and punz: have 3 pieces of netherite
Yobgs: full netherite
6:20 TechnoADHD strikes again haha. "what were we talking about again? OH LOOK DOG!"
I'm not completely sure but I think that canon deaths are deaths written into the script. Example:Tommy,Tubbo,Wilbur and Fundy were meant to die in the Final Control Room ambush. Where as in two different universes Ponk died or didn't. (In the first video you watched in this video)
Sclatt owns L'Manburg but Dream owns the entire SMP.
40:40 I just wanna point out Fundy in the background going "I can tell you're giving him potatoes right now"
Wilbur actually posted a dnd alignment chart on some of the characters in the SMP. One of which is Technoblade and Wilbur states the reason why he is what he is.
6:46 no that's an optifine cape lol
love your content!
Plot family info:
Philza is the dad of Wilbur, Techno and Tommy & found Tubbo in a box on the side of the road (adopted)
Tommy is the youngest, Wilbur is the oldest brother, Techno is the middle brother
Fundy’s father is Wilbur & his mother is a fish names Sally (i think)
The family relationships thing is kinda controversial. It's something Wilbur and Phil said was canon but Techno said it wasn't. And Tommy and Tubbo kinda just ignore it for the most part.
I think it makes way more sense to just agree that Wilbur is Phil's son and Fundy is Wil's son and that's all. Those three are the only ones who actually roleplay as family.
They have multiple cannonic deaths. the ability to respa2n is cannon, until they just cant, rainbows first cannon death was on a techno stream. to a llama named clarencio
Wilbur made a Alignment for a lot of the SMP members
But i recommend you to look at it AFTER you see the video "I fought Technoblade and Dream" and "The finale" the first one from Tommy and the second one is from Wilbur
After you watch those videos, then you see the alignment charge
Would recommend watching the revolution by skyverse after the festival. Also, Techno's view of the festival is probably the best.
Manberg already has a stable supply of food, Nihachu has a big bakery
Techno comes across as Chaotic Neutral, but once you get further into his story arc he comes across as true Neutral. He has his own code of honor and goals, and he *sticks* to them even when it causes stife with the rest of his allies.
Techno is probably Chaotic Neutral, Dream in the other hand is Chaotic Evil
Shlatt is literally handsome jack from the boarder lands game
*2:35* my answer is ran- wait you don't know him yet-
L'manberg is different than dreamsmp. Dream rules the dreamsmp. Not manburg.
also when it comes to canon deaths, a death is only canon when it is widely significant to the plot/event, or is going to change or shift the dynamic. ponk's death was relevant to what was happening but nothing changes in the story BECAUSE of his death so it is not canon.
Been waiting for this i love the dream smp and your reactions to it :>
Also wilbur said that techno is Lawful neutral
hell yeah!
@@Pusheeen_ theres a video adressing why he is a Lawful character instead of chaotic
@@Pusheeen_ I mean anarchy isn't chaos but it ends up causing chaos most of the time
@@Pusheeen_ so he's still lawful neutral since Wilbur himself said so and also it lines up
