This demo alone should win an award. Those strings at the end! This is how you sell a sample library, pure class.

just as CSS did for ensemble strings, this blows any other solo strings out of the water. Incredible work, Alex

Oh me too and any other library they can put out. Alex puts a whole 'nother level of passion and hard work into his virtual instruments. They just sound alive! Just bought this and oh my God the violins are so beautiful.

Benjamin Squires It's very good for the money but it is not the best. Same for CSS, very good for the money but not the best. There's really no arguing about that.
PS: I really like CSS and use it as my primary strings

I think a lot of it comes down to personal taste, a lot of people swear by everything Spitfire made, but I find their libraries very hit and miss. I'm curious though, if you don't think CSS/CSSS is the best in their field, why are you using them as your primary strings? Which strings do you think are the best?

Beyond the beautiful sound and ease of use of your libraries, one of the features that sets your company apart for me is your consistent willingness to share MIDI files demonstrating how to best use your products. Such an incredible resource. I wish other companies did this, but their loss is your gain. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic music Alex. Amazing solo string library. Thanks also for sharing the midi files -that's really helpful because we get to see how you've sculpted this piece using the library, which opens the door for us to take inspiration from what you've written and how you've achieved this. That is an incredible demo :-)

Is there a way to control the amount of vibrato? It’s seems like the only option I have is OFF or WAY ON.. Solo passages seem like the vibrato is way too intense at times. Maybe I haven’t discovered the automation for it yet. Other than that this library is freakin great and I’m so glad I got it.

Hey Alex, after looking out for over 5 years on the finest string virtual libraries, I got to purchase 4 of the best I could find out there, until I found CSS. I bought both the ensamble and the solo strings libraries, and that was it, a completely game changer. The most natural and high quality sound I've found I can tell, and the most functional and easy to understand and use design and interface compared to the others I own. In one line: You are a genius. This is my go to strings library for every work or composition I work on. The way you present these walkthroughs on everything we can do when using these libraries is simply mind blowing. I enjoy and rewatch these videos every now and then, as it's not only about how to use them, but also the performance and fine expression you get out of the libraries is truly inspiring and tremendously encouraging. I get excited when I receive an email letting me know about and update... better every time!
I can't thank you enough for such a hard and dedicated work, it is absolutely worth it.

Please can someone help me. When I play a note it sometimes changes to a different octave no matter how hard or soft i play the midi, like if I play a C4 sometimes it plays C4 or C5 i also noticed it when im playing a melody in live. Did i miss something? This is my first solo strings btw

Regarding the identical MIDI data for both 1st choirs and section players, Nuendo, Cubase Pro and Artist allow MIDI sends.

    • @thumst

True, but you'll likely get more convincing sounding results if you ride the automation independently for each of them.
