  • Here is a short video explaining some of the basic methods and techniques on how to change a damaged ring/guide on a fishing rod.
    In this case a tip section on a brach caster has a 20mm fuji bmnag alconite guide, secured and whipped on with black thread. Guide alignment and guide foot preparation and protection is explained in brief detail before explaining other factors of Rod building.
    Decorative trim bands are then added to finish the cosmetic process. No special equipment is used in this video.
