Who?
Labour might get a shock too
I believe that also for two reasons (A.) People think that voting Reform is the only way to save the U.K from a catastrophic over-population crisis if things are allowed to continue!
B.) Many voters of both Labour and Conservatives won't even bother to turn up to vote by becoming "why bother" apathetic because they see the election result as an inevitable foregone conclusion anyhow, meaning that Reform U.K gets an even larger percentage share of the vote.
I agree Labour are in for shock they could end up with 480 seats rather than the 400 predicted.
Most of the money is coming from the public to support Farage, I saw one comment from a guy who said he had given 25£ from his weekly benefit

Is Times Radio supporting Reform?
Boulton isn't, but he is in for a big shock.
I went to the Reform rally in Birmingham as a sceptic leaning towards Reform. I am experienced in politics, I was once a Labour activist and have and have a degree in International Relations. What I found was a lot people who were often new to politics, but felt the establishment neither understood or represented them. The politics from the stage reminded me more of one nation Tories rather than extreme right as portrayed in the media. Ann Widdecombe and Richard Tice are hardly frightening figures. Lastly, Nigel Farage is standing where my sister and my nephew lives with his mixed race family. They are struggling financially, the area is desperately poor. What have the political elites done to improve their lives? The answer is nothing, but put more pressure on them in terms of more cheap labour in the labour market, more pressure on housing, more pressure on services because of mass immigration. All done to serve the fantasy political beliefs of the elite wokerati who are immune from the everyday pressures because they have money and live in big houses.
You are not experienced in politics when you don't see that what you are describing is literally the rise of fascism. Either that or you do recognise it and don't care. Someone unironically using the term 'wokerati' is also the most cringeworthy thing I've ever encountered.
@davidb5333 this is just total nonsense and you are blinded by your own bigotry. Zia Yousuf spoke at the rally and is the party's biggest donor. Ben Habib is the deputy leader. I listened to lies and smears like this for years. That's why I went to see for myself. I also went to live in the Soviet Union and Saudi in the past to see for myself in the past. My guess is you are twenty and are still at university with little life experience.
@@williamjohn7909 I’m 35, and I’m certain far more educated than you. You have literally described fascism in action. Being anti-fascist isn’t bigoted no matter how much of a ‘snowflake’ you want to be about it. Isn’t anti-bigotry the ‘woke’ agenda anyway? Strange you would be so sensitive about it.
@davidb5333 35, you are just a kid. I was giving political speeches alongside Tony Benn before you were even born. Don't even start to play the elitist I'm better than you card. The four least intellectually challenging years I spent were at university with a load of middle class privileged kids who knew very little about anything. Manyt of my friends have 1st class degrees or PhDs . Going through the education system is not necessary a sign of intelligence it is often more a sign of an inability to question the orthodox. Lastly, wokes are often the most bigoted people you come across. That is because they are convinced of their own doctrines and see anyone who has a different opinion as a heretic. That's why they are frequently unable to debate sensibly and rely on insults, no platforming, bullying, physical intimidation, misinformation and lies instead.
I don't believe you

No ‘BAU’?
‘Most’ ‘economic thinking’ is ‘short run’ and ‘redundant’?
‘It’ ignores the ‘supply side’?
‘Growth’ {and ‘civilisation’} depends upon ‘cheap’ F.F. - those so called ‘halcyon days’ are ‘over’. ?
“The crisis now unfolding, however, is entirely different to the 1970s in one crucial respect… The 1970s crisis was largely artificial. When all is said and done, the oil shock was nothing more than the emerging OPEC cartel asserting its newfound leverage following the peak of continental US oil production. There was no shortage of oil any more than the three-day-week had been caused by coal shortages. What they did, perhaps, give us a glimpse of was what might happen in the event that our economies depleted our fossil fuel reserves before we had found a more versatile and energy-dense alternative. . . . That system has been on the life-support of quantitative easing and near zero interest rates ever since. Indeed, so perilous a state has the system been in since 2008, it was essential that the people who claim to be our leaders avoid doing anything so foolish as to lockdown the economy or launch an undeclared economic war on one of the world’s biggest commodity exporters . . . And this is why the crisis we are beginning to experience will make the 1970s look like a golden age of peace and tranquility. . . . The sad reality though, is that our leaders - at least within the western empire - have bought into a vision of the future which cannot work without some new and yet-to-be-discovered high-density energy source (which rules out all of the so-called green technologies whose main purpose is to concentrate relatively weak and diffuse energy sources). . . . Even as we struggle to reimagine the 1970s in an attempt to understand the current situation, the only people on Earth today who can even begin to imagine the economic and social horrors that await western populations are the survivors of the 1980s famine in Ethiopia, the hyperinflation in 1990s Zimbabwe, or, ironically, the Russians who survived the collapse of the Soviet Union.” ?
“The problem with both visions of the future - and the spectrum of views between them - is a fundamental misunderstanding of the collapse which has begun to break over us. This is that each assumes the continuation of that part of industrial civilisation which is required to make their version of the future possible, even as the coming collapse wipes away ALL aspects of industrial civilisation. Most obviously, nobody had developed even an embryonic version of the renewable energy supply chain which is the essential first step to turning non-renewable renewable energy-harvesting technologies (NRREHTs) into the envisioned “renewables” upon which the promised techno-psychotic future is to be built. That is, until it is possible to mine the minerals, build the components, manufacture and transport the technologies without the use of fossil fuels at any stage in the process, then there is no such thing as “renewable energy” in the sense which the term is currently promoted. “
