I need a baby said her on here way She left me raining tears that day Okay I said not to beg her to stay Happiness for her a child I did pray With a boy she came back without delay Now she's gone she passed away.
Down by the sea to find tranquility Ocean force is gentle as it can be For that I show it this sea humility For it will wake up its a guarantee To bring rain an restore soil fertility
This wonderful song by the Cascades was a molten hot fave of the 60's and is loved even to this day in 2024. The tune became so popular, its been widely used as a ring tone in mobiles.
To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life.
Reminds me of riding shotgun in the front seat of our '64 chevy down the highway with the wipers slapping the windshield. Perfectly safe and happy with my Angelic Mom singing alone to the tune. Absolute perfect memory of the happiest time in my life.
😢Made me cry. But what does these days. 😂 I lost my mom when I was 23. I was married pregnant just bought a house. And my mom was dying of cancer. I wish I could tell the world to love and get to know your mother. Before it’s to late.
2023, and i still see you sitting next to me in Harry's 55 Chevy back in the early 60's on Kenmore ave, ''Sandi'' i still and will always care about you
I heard this song when I was a child. I felt nothing but queer at that time. As a Cantonese speaking Hong Kong child, the song was an eye opener which brended weather with love and a lot of thought. Acturally, songs of this sort lifted me to a new level of learning with enjoyment. Thanks a lot.
I remember this song playing on the radio when I was a little girl. It's strange when you hear a long lost song, it transforms you back to that time of your life. I'm a 68 year old granny now, but remember being a 5-6 year old girl playing in my yard in the summertime. The 1960s was such a different time.

"Rhythm Of The Rain" lyrics Song: THE CASCADES Lyricist: GUMMOE JOHN C Composer: GUMMOE JOHN C Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain Telling me just what a fool I've been I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain And let me be alone again The only girl I care about has gone away Looking for a brand new start But little does she know that when she left that day Along with her she took my heart Rain, please tell me now does that seem fair For her to steal my heart away when she don't care I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away The only girl I care about has gone away Looking for a brand new start But little does she know that when she left that day Along with her she took my heart Rain, won't you tell her that I love her so Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain Telling me just waht a fool I've been I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain And let me be alone again Oh listen to the pouring rain Pitter patter, pitter patter Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain Pitter patter, pitter patter Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain
This is a song which will never grow old. I once received an email many years ago from John Gummoe the lead singer of the cascades thanking me for complimenting him on the song. He was on his way to the Philippines he told me as they are big there.
It always amazes me to hear stories about groups blowing up in another country, often countries where English isn't even the first language. I know this because I have been an amateur scholar of music for quite some time thanks to the advent of TH-cam and the internet in general. What's also amazing is that a song can appear in an ad or a movie 20 years after it was popular and the song will hit the charts again, sometimes even rising all the way to number one.
I'm listening this song 🎵 continuously and I like it very much. It's seems like having reflections to my very young age whereas my First Lover missing forever from me❤

That song is the absolute best. Have to listen to it every day. Music from that era is great.

I was only 7 when this song was released in 1963. I loved it then and still do.
I was 6. I love this song still.
I thought it was from lates 60's, it gives a similar vibe like Happy Togther or Herman Hermits

I was born in 1959 and i remember hearing these songs on the radio! The 60's were the best era for music.
That's true. The 60s was the best era for music
Absolutely no doubt. I was born in 1952.
This song is the greatest...it reminds me of when the world was in a happier place ❤
I don't know if the world was really happier, but it seemed a helluva lot easier to get along in.
Totally agree
Feel sad those days are gone! Beautiful music, much more innocent back then! My heart feels it!❤

When life was a lot simpler and beautiful. How we all yearn for those fond memories of the past, when most of our loved ones were still alive.
0:50 "I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away." Is the best part of the lyrics for me.

Heard this song over and over again in childhood, fascinated by the voice and music as also the lyric. It stirs up such a lovely feeling even today ❤
下雨天在屋里听这首歌 倍觉伤感。五十年老歌 历久不衰

This was one of my mother's favorites when she was a young girl.
"Rhythm Of The Rain" lyrics
Song: THE CASCADES
Lyricist: GUMMOE JOHN C
Composer: GUMMOE JOHN C
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start
But little does she know that when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
Rain, please tell me now does that seem fair
For her to steal my heart away when she don't care
I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away
The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start
But little does she know that when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart
Rain, won't you tell her that I love her so
Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow
Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just waht a fool I've been
I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again
Oh listen to the pouring rain
Pitter patter, pitter patter
Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain
Pitter patter, pitter patter
Oh, oh, oh, listen to, listen to the falling rain
Are you stupid or a clout farmer.
The lyrics are in the video.
