No
Buy him a pc
Buy him one
Buy him one... that only can run Windows Vista.
That headset probably wasn't purchased at clearance and resold, it's more likely that it came from a return or old stock palet purchased at auction.
I don't think so
@@xXVibrantSnowXxI do, liquidation pallets always has these labels and its a fairly common ecommerce strategy
That makes more sense. To sell it for only $10 more than what that tag suggests they bought it for, they’d be losing money after shipping and wish’s cut.
i think its just a marketing scheme. They just wanted to put "refurbished" so if anything happens they can claim thats what you paid for.
nah def not
about that Samsung flip and the cover screen, I am kinda thinking it might simply have been disabled in the settings as that is something you can do. So the screen might not be broken and simply disabled ....... Settings -> Smart Assistance -> Smart cover -> Disable / Enable
I am thinking you are 100% CORRECT
@@ottopuppywe need Austin to see this as soon as possible lol
Might be too late. These are probably shot in advance so he already sent it off.
You could be right. But that price though.
Is too late as he posted a update a week later to say hes been refunded.
9:35 nobody noticed the 100% CPU usage when doing nothing? LOL
Probably some kind of keylogger or other type of malware running there
If it's anything like my old computer, that also had Windows 10, it's just an issue that sometimes happens with Windows 10. I tried a billion things to get that to go away, and while there are some good temporary fixes, I never found one that made it go away forever. I didn't have any virus/malware/keylogger or any other issues that I could find. It just loved jumping to 100% usage soon after starting.
I remember the 2013 Droid series. My grandparents used to have these and I grew up with those phones. I still have them, but one of them went in the washer 6 years ago, the other one broke and the 3rd one I still have.
Yeah right liar
@@AnthonyELombardiwhy would they lie about having a phone from 2013???
Seeing the droid mini, a $100 verizon only smartphone in 2013, being refurbished for $54.
Man I'm sorry but you got scammed.
$100 on a contract back then, now that devices aren’t discounted cause you pay over time, people forget what it was like buying phones back then. Retail out of contact for that phone wasn’t $100
Austin's victory lap on the OLED Nokia screen just made my day 💯
Windows phone died faster than Austin's faith in Wish 😂
Bruh
I used to work for RIM which was the maker of blackberry , had to sign 2 NDAs back then while testing the firmware and components on the z10 up to the z3s , i also made countless of those classic blackberries everyones used to seeing lol
the fact i had 2/3 of these phones sent me down the nostalgia route and makes me feel somewhat old
YOOOOO!!! I had that Lumia back in the day. I actually LOVED it. There was a rad feature on it where you could use the main camera and navigate from maps just by pulling up maps, going vertical, and then it would show you waypoints and distance between shops or restaurants nearby. I used that in Austin Texas during SXSW several times and it was super accurate.
"Not a terrible CPU", CPU pinned at 100% lmao. Love it.
lol
Indeed... Is he blind or just don't know Computers at all? Rofl, all of those Items are just Worthless, just fillers for a Video to push out.
I mean they are apple fan bois over here. So..... Can't expect them to know what a good computer is. Better off getting a ultra cheap Windows laptop with 5x the spec's of this trash apple, and putting Linux on it. Also those mini PC's are absolute garbonzo if you don't shell out the cash for a decent one. For anything other then web browsing that is and even that is taxing on these little guys.
probably from windows update from booting up and going online, i see this on tons of lower end systems, windows 10 will peg 2core CPUs on boot for stupid things, once finished the CPU usage is fine but for a while it will be very slow. Microsoft lately has just made windows a pain to deal with, and it seems to get worse with every new version.
@@jjjacer Has probably been on for a copple of mins befor the shot was taken, also the point is its Junk Tech anyway.
THANKYOU FOR A SUNDAY UPLOAD.. my youtube was dry AF this morning.
I've bought 3 laptops and a iPad from wish and they were all good. I did learn to make sure to check out the seller, make sure they were verified and they were a USA shipper 💜💜
may i know which resellers did you buy the laptops from? Im very broke and In need of a gaming laptop
@@elbert5208 yeah, I'm on my way to work right now but this afternoon, after I get home I'll post them.
@@elbert5208 s fort that took so long. The seller is VIPOUTLET
3:30 It was not as good as today's OLED. There was inconstancies and you didn't get pure black.
I worked in hardware engineering on the BlackBerry Z10 (processor integration). That was a depressing time.
Austin, your videos always hit different thank you for being an amazing youtuber
Dork
A lot of places will simply take overstock or warehouse items and sell them as refurbish to get rid of them. Lots of liquidation companies will just sell stuff they got from buying out a warehouse as a refurb to avoid issues with warranty etc on older stuff.
TBF though, anytime you buy refurbished, you roll the dice. Whether that be from Wish, Aliexpress, eBay, Amazon etc(when you buy from a bulk seller and not an individual seller who posts specific pictures for the item and lists anything wrong). The only real question is how they handles returns or refunds when you don't get what was laid out.
I still have a whole collection of my BlackBerry phones, and just yesterday was reminiscing about Time Shift and how ahead of its time that was. Creating a perfect picture that never existed, was amazing.
Thanks for pointing out at the end of the video, I was going nuts trying to find the refurbished section.
The original Motorola droid with the full size slide out keyboard, was the single greatest phone ever made. It helped me drive 26 hrs straight from PA to Florida. It also helped me at my job as assistant manager for the census bureau. Best phone of all time!
I had the Motorola milestone (droid in the us?) And it's the best phone I ever had. I was so depressed when I fell in a pool with it and it broke
@@xhumdahil I used mine for 4+ years, then upgraded, & my gf at the time used it for another 2+ years.
I had one too
2:44 yoo this ad is from Malaysia. And I do believe I had once see this ad somewhere on a magazine like, a decade ago or somethin
my mate had a blackberry z10 and it was kinda cool as it could play youtube audio in background which at that time wasnt really thing on most phones and is now a premium feature it wasnt really any good in for much else though
The Chuwi would be perfect for retro gaming on Intel. You got royally screwed on the (vintage) MacBook Air and the Airpods Pro 1, price-wise.
“Don’t attack us..” 🤣
I had a Lumia 735! So pumped to see one again!
If they had app support, they'd still be in the mix
It's a classic
I think having apps as a lista rules
an ad from Malaysia about the Lumia , phones were cheaper back then ..
I had a lumia. It was okay. Served me well in high-school.
.....I REALLY miss the Lumia phones and WIndows Phone in general. They seriously were some of the best phones I ever used.
Too bad you didn't fiddle a bit with Lumia 735 camera. Nokia did some good stuff with Lumia 7xx to 9xx line on the audio side while filming.
If I remember correctly, the 735 had a pretty decent stereo recording capability.
I had the lumia, was the first phone i bought with my own money. Hated that phone so much, barely had any apps
I had the Droid Razr back in the day, loved that thing.
I personally loved the tile set up with microsoft/ nokias. Idk why but I would totally get one if a new one came out.
Nature’s pocket 🤣
Prison Purse
I am so glad ken and matt both said "D R O I D" when austin opened the droid mini because i said the exact same thing when he was looking at the listing for it
I had that Nokia back in 2012/2013 and it is still one of my favorite phones. Watching anime from the countless anime pirating apps is something I did till it eventually died a couple years ago 😢
Interesting the former price labels aren’t removed. It might even help make it seem used with the box being destroyed a bit with the label removed, lol.
3:28 The original Galaxy S had an OLED screen in 2010. Sure it was only 4 inches and 480x800, bit it had one.
The last Blackberry phones like the Z10 were quite interesting as they could sideload Android APK's
Heard Droid and got excited, only to see a mini. The Droid 1 needs to be remade, I miss my slide out keyboard.
9:10 this may very well be a store return. They get listed as refurbished on eBay, I doubt it's any different on wish.
That nostalgia reminded me of what asus did like a decade ago
They had this phone and tablet 2 in 1 where you dock the phone into the tablet and it functions to a tablet, man that was a time
Well, palms pdas did that too another 10 years before that. Nothing new.
You had me laughing soo hard at the Target situation!!
The Droid Mini was my first smartphone coming from a samsung flip phone and the wireless charging feature of it blew my mind
This was really good, a lot of these Wish/Temu bits are just fun novelty videos, but there was some good insight into what does or does not make this worth trying.
The blackberry z10 was the only phone I had where you could play TH-cam in the background without premium. Before premium existed. Such a cool little phone.
The blackberry z10's keyboard, and predictive text implementation is still incredible to this day!!
I remember back in the day when I was maybe 13-14 I would buy cheap target phones that I would hide from my mom (I wasn't allowed to have a smartphone) and I got the Windows phone at one point. I kinda liked the setup but didn't at the same time, because I wasn't used to it. Seeing that was re-living part of my childhood.
Definitely got that pallet auction feel
Every time Austin posts my day gets better
I have just bought a Blackberry Z10 for my collection. It was 12 dollars on a flea market, and it looks like new.
I actually have a galaxy tab 3 and use it as a clock
I miss window phones so much!
I used to have a Droid mini. I loved it!
I have fond memories of the windows phones, the nokia camera’s were honestly better than any other phone at the time imo, the only thing that windows phones didn’t have was better app support. If they actually gave them 3rd party app support, they would’ve been a actual competitor to android/ios.
I might have to get one just to preserve.
I literally had a galaxy tab 3 as a christmas present when they first came out as a kid lol
Austin Makes Sad People To Make Him Happy❤
Those chuwi mini pcs are EXPENSIVE. i would buy one for $150 but they are $4-700 units.
13:30 - Austin, its actually a GOOD thing the battery app was installed; that was likely whoever was refurbishing the phone checking that the battery was still in good, working order! great refurbisher!
edit: it does make you wonder why they don't put notes like 'outside screen non-functional' if they can go as far as installing a battery app to check the health of it though - that being said, id still take a $300 z flip with a non functioning outside screen over the brand new price tag ANY day
you can sometimes get "refurbished" that are just new open box items
OMG I had the galaxy tab 3. It was my first ever mobile device that I got as a kid. Just seeing the tablet brings back soo many Minecraft PE nostalgic!
I think if it’s new and refurbished, it was probably a defective unit from assembly line that got undefected and sold
I really enjoyed my Blackberry phones. The Z10 was not a big of exeption but according to my parents they always had issues to hear me right when I was on this phone. Not related to the location I was in. Everything was fine on my end though. Don't know what went wrong....
I work at a liquidation store ND yes 70% of items are used some are just lost items ND most of the time electronics work good
People are still using the wilheim scream? feelsgoodman
I bought a chuwi core box and switch out cpu, ram, hard drive (all total about 160) and a really great productivity computer. Mind you most of what I do is word processing, email, video watch so not real demanding. Really don't think i could play games on it.
I wonder how many of these items are labeled as 'refurbished' when they're actually 'stolen'.
The customizable layout of Windows Phone was far superior than either Android or iPhone has ever been.
Austin can't believe how good the quality is, wonder if his name was on the order invoice?
Most likely his business name lmao. Tax write off spesh
I loved that first Nokia Windows phone I would totally use it again
I loved the menu set up
I still have my samsung tab 3 lite, works as well as you would expect, but just the fact it still works is amazing.
I had and loved the Nokia Lumia 735 windows phone.. For a all plastic phone it looked and felt so good in the hand and the blackest blacks on any phone I've seen. I also still have a Lumia Icon in mint like brand new condition. To bad windows phone didn't take off, I bet it would be pretty awesome now
Would be cool to gut that little Chuwi desktop and do a fun little build video cramming the best gear you can into it.
Do a video where you compare wish refurbished, and back market
Speaking of 2013 smartphones, the original Moto X was easily one of my favorite android phones. Great screen, replaceable battery, a curved back that just fit in my hand so so well.
The mini PC was refurbished but the internals are the one that was probably fixed and they used a brand new case.
OMG I had that Nokia back in the days and I loved it✨ so many memories
I had a chuwi hero book air, and it was very slow and it the bottom of the laptop got very warm to the point that all 4 of the rubber pads on the bottom fell off because the glue melted. Not a very good laptop and its not really upgradable either
@3:43 Austin turns into Adam Sandler , lol
I remember getting a Droid 4 with the sliding keyboard for $35 on Amazon back in 2014. It had a built in hdmi so it was perfect for emulators. I used to play ps1 games on the TV with it using a Bluetooth ps4 controller. It seemed like emulators were the only thing that phone was good at, the camera was decent but it was slow as hell trying to do anything else
Either 2014 or 2015
I'm a pretty hardcore Linux user - but not for the reasons you might expect. I miss my Windows phone.
I figured I was perfectly safe 'cause ain't no malware author going to bother targeting a device with so few users! Actually, I like it because it was a pretty solid experience. If more folks had given it a shot, it might still be around and we'd have at least some competition besides Google and Apple.
🎉 for Linux heck yeah
Matt representing the 585 with the Genny shirt lmao.
I remember selling the first three phones back in the day
Wow a 730 brand new I still miss my lumia 830 best phone I ever used
Refurbished???? I’m not sure about the shipping thing….Shipping from the US to PRC is expensive and and takes a while. When something is crap when ordering from the PRC i’ll take it as a loss and a “you shouldn’t have bought that” lesson.
Any tablets you suggest for Temu cheap I just need one to put on the wall in kitchen the used as a smart device control for the light because my mum and step dad I dumb tech and keep switching light switch off and I'm always having to set them up again because they reset themselves
Fun fact: The Z10 was the go to phone of the German government because of the awesome security features.
I worked in CS for a phone provider (in the US), and Blackberries were big in that market sector for at least a few years after they had basically disappeared from the public eye.
The other big phone govt agencies loved was the old HTC brick phones, they even made an alternate model with no camera and such specifically for high security govt areas.
they probrably send new items cause its being sent to your channel and it would benefit them for you to make them look good and trustworthy
As a repair guy I can say these looked windexed not refurbished.
Not me knowing exactly which model MacBooks those are lmao. Like for instance the MD101 is a mid-2012 13” MacBook Pro. 2.5 i5, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HD
What would be awesome Austin if He upgrades the CHUWI to scary levels !!! And Then Does high end gaming on it , but has to fit everything in the chasis.
I still have a Tab 3 from when they were new, because I have yet to find a better remote control for anything and everything. I have a 200 dollar Harmony remote with a little screen sitting in a box of junk somewhere because it couldn't do half of what the ten year older Tab does, as easily as it does, while looking as good as it does. As long as it keeps charging, I don't think I'll ever need anything else than that old Samsung tablet with just the remote control app on it.
When you hear Austin's nose-breath through the mic you know he's angy. 😤😤😤
Austin definitely have more than 3 coffee that morning
This vid makes me miss my lumia 810 so badly
Hey everyone just wanted to say love the videos. Me and my wife and son love them we have binge watching them everyday. From all your channels. But I have one ? I have seen very many xbox360 game accessories. Not sure if you would ever think about doing anything like that. Anyways that would be awesome. but keep up the awesome work. You all are amazing!!!!! Thank you for all you entertainment. Love you guys!!!! Keep it up!!!! ❤🎉😅😊
Natures pocket lmao😵😵😂😂
here sitting wondering why the editor choose to put Austin on Zlota 44 in Warsaw in this clip lmao 4:02
I like how on the Chuwi, CPU usage was 100% just in task manager... To be honest, better buying a refurbed office PC off ebay. I see 4th gen i7's going for around $100 with a 480 GB SSD and 16GB dual channel memory. That said, both are bad options... You don't fully know what you're getting until it's shipped to you 80% of the time.
