There are mistakes your video and (soon to be) others should know ASAP. There is NO Auto Cancel Dair > Half Waft. Its never a thing. You might have misunderstood this with Fast Fall LANDING Dair (during the 1-6 hits of Dair) that confirms into Half Waft. This is also slightly False since it depends on the Character. Characters like Bowser or Falcon can easily avoid the confirm, while characters like Pichu or Kirby can be even combod into a Half or even FULL Waft after a landing Dair. If you have Half Waft. You may use it as you seem fit in some situations EVEN it doesn't kill, because not only its a good combo finisher for high damage, but it quickily charges your next Waft too, which makes multiple Wafts in 1 game common rather than keeping the full one. Not comparing what method is more recomended, but there's certainly more ways to use your Half Wafts. It's not the "glutonny" style of waft usages btw. It's the style of Waft usages that Wario's normally does. Glutonny's wafts sometimes are used for raw reads and hard punishes, not just for confirms or scaring the opponent. For More info, check Wario's Smash Discord. They also have charts of more of the confirms too. It surely comes in handy in the future and for you too. (On the plus side, Your voice reminds of the instruction videos of WarioWare smooth moves for some reason. Quite Unique.)
Yo thank you so much for the corrections! The auto cancel thing is a huge oversight on my part, I'll try to get trixx to pin something about that. I really appreciate that you took the time to prevent that misinformation from being spread
Haha I appreciated the pun ;) But also, side note on this: do you think Footstool Farming potentially makes Wario the best character in the game now (or at least even higher in top tier than he was)? Since Woft just relies on time, you just need to avoid the other player for long enough and then you get a Woft. With footstool farming you can much more easily avoid the other player (or at least avoid getting KO'd as easily) for a long time, and then once Woft is built up go get your free stock. Previously the assumption was games wouldnt last the full 7-8 mins, but now you could theoretically do this multiple times in one game so you only ever engage the other player when you have Woft on deck...
@@MetaTrixx This is gonna be the only time I ever quote ninja. "THE FUCK YOU SAY TO ME YOU LITTLE SHIT!?" Edit: I'm being sarcastic bit come on man just do the monado boi like that.
Probably what I would consider the most broken mechanic/move in the game. They really should have made it have some negative effect to Wario (like doing some damage and knockback to him too or stunning himself for a while, so there were consequences to using it). As it is it just promotes camping and essentially gives Wario 1+ free stocks each game (and he's not a bad character as is, so he doesn't even need those free stocks compared to a character like Little Mac)
@@fullysemiautomatic5618 yeah, KO punch itself kills earlier (and goes through shields which is HUGE). But the reasons I consider Woft to be a more 'broken' move is because it has no counter play or risk/reward. KO punch needs to be built up through attacks and getting hit, whereas Woft just relies on time (so it promotes just staying away and building up Woft; the other player is forced to be the one engaging all the time which is disadvantageous to them). Also Woft can be combo'd into, can be used off stage, and can be used as a recovery option if needed. It doesn't even reset when you die. There's essentially nothing a player can do to avoid it, all they can do is try to kill Wario quickly enough that he doesn't get it multiple times in one game. Whereas KO punch is lost when Lil Mac is hit enough, and resets after death, so it's something the other player can play around. Also Lil Mac as a character is really bad and pretty much needs KO punch to win games, so if you whiff your KO punches it's costly for your game overall, whereas Wario without Woft is probably still a decent high/mid-tier and could still win games, Woft just gives him a free stock lead on top.
@@MetaTrixx yeah but this has all been covered before, the problem is the fact that there are random edge cases that simply aren't correct. Late fair will never combo into half waft, and going for waft edge guards are ill advised unless you're fighting chrom or cloud or something.
@@MetaTrixx it's a degenerate mechanic because there's no way of stopping it, and the character was poorly designed around it. wario core kit has a couple good moves, and the rest is super mediocre, it isn't good game design.
@@MetaTrixx once per game is disingenuine. glutto gets two off a lot of the time. arsene can be camped, Go demands terry be above 100%. and they both lose it upon death. not wario tho.
