Nendoroids are so cool because they allow you to make many different poses as opposed to scales which only have one pose and you can also switch pieces of your nendoroids with other nendoroids and create a whole new version of your favorite characters.

This video made me go "awwww"!As someone who loves all things cute, collecting anime figures is in a way an extension of it. I love anime and what it has taught me. It opened my mind to new experiences, motivated and cheered me up when I was down. Getting anime figures make me happy because it means I can have my favorite characters who I love close to me. Life can get stressful and tiring, but when I come to my room and I'm surrounded by everything I love, I'm reminded of what these characters stand for and get inspired. It makes me forget the stress and can relax. It's kind of like therapy for me.

Nendo Now Kagamine Rin! I found her at a Kinokuniya in 2013( I think?) and thought she was really cute😁 I don't have her anymore, though the new Harvest Moon Rin and Len set is calling my name😍
That Harvest Moon set for the twins is cuter than I ever imagined. Gonna try and say no, but it's so hard haha.
Before I started to collect nendoroids, playing videogames was my hobby. I'm usually updated to every game news and releases but with having less and less time to play all the games I have bought. I just came to a point that I can't keep up with all the awesome games that are being released. So I had a tough decision of changing hobbies, and eventually I found nendoroid collecting to be the answer. Games and Nendoroids both cost a lot but with nendoroids, it doesn't demand any time to actually enjoy them. I can even enjoy them by just looking at them while I lie in bed after work. :)
I had the same problem you had, I would buy games and never play them cause I didn't have the time. But I didn't want to stop playing games either. I don't know where you live, but if you're in the United States my solution was gamefly. I can rent a game and when I'm done I can just send it back and they'll send another one. I'm actually playing more games now then when I first started collecting. And at 17 bucks a month for as many games I can play is a lot better than 60 bucks for just one game.
This was a nice video. It reminded me of why I like collecting horse models. I like their colors and molds that can look so realistic. Even if they're called "toys" which makes people think it's a childish thing to collect them, there's a lot more to it than that and that goes for every collector. You enjoy collecting new models of your favorite breed or color or famous horse. Breyer specifically has lots of models dedicated to real life horses and during BreyerFest (I guess you can call it similar to a convention) you can meet some of those horses and look at the model of them in your hand and look up to see the living, breathing creature that inspired the model. BreyerFest is 3 days of celebrating horses and you can see and learn so much from basic breed introduction to trick riding and competitions (horseball was super fun to watch! Also when they had full armor jousting) and you actually have fun standing in line to get the special models of that year cause each year they have a theme and then design models around that theme. It's a driving force for me to collect cause not only can I work on photography with the models, I can also respect and learn about the breed or horse and what they've accomplished
wow that's pretty awesome! And that's pretty cool you can have a model of a horse and see the real life version of that horse. Imagine if you could do that with anime characters haha.
i collect figures because i really love art. i see them as statues and art peices. I really love nendroids because they are also toys, so i can play with them and have fun!
That's a really nice way of looking at it. There are definitely great artists at work when these nendoroids are being designed for sure!

Why not? They’re cute, chibi. You can collect and display a lot of them in one small space. They’re so worth the money, looking at the processes that go into making just one nendoroid. Even if you’re not into series that some nendoroids come from, you can still collect them because you love how cute/handsome they are. It’s brilliant

I’m 10 times timid than others I just pretend to be cool and be a normie so people won’t judge me ever since I got my joker Nendoroid I was like yo I need more I started hoarding Nendos like genos Saito a Shōtō etc. and like you said I cannot let people know I have this kind of hobby because they might judge me and bullshit plus I’m in the Philippines, you rarely see Filipinos do this kind of hobby so yeah people think you’re some kind of weirdo and some shit but ever since I heard this part I immediately sent this to my girlfriend and said I confessed when I ordered online I wasn’t buying clothes I wasn’t buying ps4 games I bought Nendoroids,figmas,and SH figuarts and she said BOBO (dumb ass) she said why did you have to kept it to yourself I collect as well duh and omg I was in tears so yeah thank you for this Dave god bless you

I know this is a 4 year old video but I happened to see it in my recommended, even tho I've been a subscriber, recently I've been doubting myself on and off about how I like nendoroids about what others would think of me and how humiliated others would make me feel and I felt a deep shame and embarrassment to where I wouldn't even dare to let anyone know I liked anything anime-wise but seeing this video has really struck that fire for how much I love these little nendoroids, so I'm deciding to get some nendoroids and make my collection bigger and start collecting again, because who cares what others think, this is my hobby, and not theirs to judge so I'm gonna do what makes me happy! I have a very very small (literally two nendoroids) just because when I started getting into them that's what I had and I love them a lot so I'm gonna try to make my collection bigger and I hope if anyone else is going through this and needs to hear this, well hear ya go!

Currently my collecting habits have changed drastically. Going from Marvel/DC figures + Transformers...to a few SH Figuarts+ Figma...now it's turning into Nendoroids! Currently oogling Meta Knight and both Saber/Gilgamesh from Fate/Stay.
Nendos are perfect because they're small (but not too small) and you can sit them on a shelf with a quick pose, then admire them! Plus if you bump into them they may be less likely to fall over (varies per figure I know) as opposed to larger figures.
Lastly the price point makes me think carefully before I buy and I only get those I really like.
I just got Meta Knight in, and he looks pretty awesome!!

Excellent video! I know people subscribe for your reviews (and rightfully so) but what makes me stay are these little videos that you share about yourself. You are such a positive light, and just so much fun. I've also always been a collector and I find people either get it or just really really don't understand collecting. Also, nothing wrong with loving cute things, and I say that about all things (cute, scary, gore, dirty, etc). You gotta do what makes you happy! and you make others happy, well done sir

I really like the Madoka Magica Nendoroid. I really like the show. It's so tragic, but it's advertised as being really kawaii. I get stuff off of Amazon, so Figmas are WAYYY out of my little budget. But with the 20-30 pound Nendoroids, I could probably collect much more of them quicker. :3

On the topic on nendoroid, I fixed my sisters Kinata nendoroid yesterday, she's from Lucky Star!
She broke 2 years ago, and she thought she wouldn't see her fixed ever again, but I fixed her, she just has to be careful,though, she's leaning against so,etching since she has one leg up and one leg on the floor.
And I have the mini ones, you can move their head, but you can't really pose them.
They're all Vocaloid and I don't know where two are from, gotta figure that out.
Just found out about your channel recently when I looked up an aqua nendroid review. I really love the aqua nendroid and it looks really cute, but it’s sooo expensive 😭😭. Anyways, continue the great reviews, we all enjoy them 😊

I was the kid with a black trench coat, long black boots, and a pentagram necklace when I was in high school, so it's hard to believe but cute things are just too cute! I later found out that some people thought I was a Satanist and super scary when I was in HS, it's kind of amusing because I'm not scary at all. XD
I also love the poseability, but lets be real here... I'm pretty sure most of us put them in one pose and don't mess it up unless we want to take pictures, haha.
It's always fun to see your openings, I can tell you put effort in them to try to make them as funny as can be. Collecting is also something I have done since young, I still have a box filled with Yu-Gi-Oh cards somewhere in the depths of my closet.

So I collect both anime figures and nendoroids, nendoroids are just so fun to take photographs on and switch faceplates and all that stuff! It's so fun :3 and they're just so cute, and anime figures are just so stunning to look at. But since I'm only 17 and I live alone in my small appartment, I go to art collage I can't really afford nendoroids often. Like the Rin and Len harvest moon nendos I want them so bad !! And the re releases of the kill la kill nendos. But I won't be able to get them. So that's kinda sad

I love nenderoids so much aaaaa, but since I’m a broke school student I only own an eren mikasa and Levi nendoroid, I’m currently searching for the banana fish nendoroids! They’re honestly super cute. Nenderoids are genuinely perfect for making customs as well! I love an anime called Mirai Nikki and Yuno only has one figure which is super overpriced- (one sold on yja for 251001 yen!) so I’m thinking of making a custom nendo of her. Love your collection!
I love collecting and the art style on nendoroids is so perfect compared to chibi arts and other companies where they are slightly too big/small/wide/skinny.
One of the things you should mention and its the reason I like to collect them is cost
Not to bag on scale figure collectors, but they are very expensive. As opposed to nendoroids which can be had for $30-100 depending on the character/rarity. So you get more bang for the buck, and can get more of them.

I started collecting nendos because of you i think. But i fell in love with Ryuko first and then Aqua. I couldnt buy Ryuko so i preordered Aqua, and then the first i actually owned first was Chitoge. I just loved how cute she looked and with her tsun pose i just wanted her too.
I also recently started researching how to edit videos, equipment and all the good stuff. My videos will be about my nendos too, manga, light novels and videogames. However im a million lightyears away to be good as you. My vids are pathetic but im having fun making them and learning as i go through.

There's also the Cu-Poche line made by Kotobukiya, of Frame Arms Girl frame. It's very similar to Nendoroid except they have more articulations as if it's Nendoroid and Figma combined.
I have two Cu-poche. I don't really like to collect them though cause I don't like joints on figures.
- Nendoroid : the most action figure that i love,because the design is cute and it's fun to play,you can change any kind of pose you want.
- Figma :quite like this kind of action figure,but i don't like with the joint hand of figma,it looks a little bit weird to me.
-Scale Figure/Price Figure : every time i buy pvc i just feeling good at the start when unboxing it,but after that it's looks boring because you can't change the pose like figma or nendoroid,and the price of course(for scale figure),it's better if i buy 2 nendoroids than just 1 scale figure which i can't change the pose lol.

I agree with you on this. I have been collecting nendos since 2011 because of how cute they are and how much I love collecting (I also love the comedic factor as well). I started collecting as a kid with pokemon cards. I too still have my huge binder with sheet after sheet of cards. I tend to get bored of hobbies as well, but I have yet to grow bored of my nendos. Even though I have enough to open my own shop with, I can't stop. I am a slave to good smile. T^T

I love collecting :) Nendos are great because they all look like a collection even though all the characters are from completely different worlds! And with their different face plates and accessories, I feel like they're a true embodiment of the character not some static object. They're charming!

I never really got into the expensive $150+ figures. I like to look at them but like you, I tend to gravitate toward cute things that make me smile. Nendoroids just happen to fit nicely with this interest haha.

I love collecting items as well. Especially anime merch and I love Nendoroids too. I already have 2 of them (a kimono Hastune Miku and Ciel Phantomhive) and I hope to get more soon. But since I'm still a teenager I always have to find ways to convince my parents or to get money. And my parents don't like the fact I collect things they think it's unnecessary and waists money. But I'm still going strong and I hope to sell tons of my older things for newer items to collect :).

I just recently bought my first nendoroid! At fist I thought they were overpriced but I saw a megumin nendoroid and I just had to have it. Totally worth it!

I also loved collecting things as a child~ I love the different poses, faces and accessories too. It means it never gets boring like static figures! I wish there were no bootleg Nendoroids though. I haven't seen them yet, and I hope I never will!!! I also love how eg. Marvel Nendoroids resemble the actors' faces really well, it amazes me how they do that transformation to the chibi-format!

I feel you on learning how to play Pokemon card game, I went to an event to learn, and still can't play. I love nendoroids because they are so cute and I can get like 3 or 4 nendoroids for the cost of one scale figure. They also make nendoroids of characters that we may never get scale figures of.
Yeah, there are so many nendoroids coming out of characters who I thought would never get one! I'm so excited to see all the announcements to come.
Your collection is magical! Damn! I started collections figures last year I believe, though I mostly collect Scale figures. I got my first Nendoroid which is Shiro from no game no life and now I want them all 😩 Money... what's that even?

I bought many nendoroids after watching your reviews. They're amazing! Now I moved to collecting Sailor Moon merch only as everything is so expensive and can not have everything xD I still collect the must have nendoroids for me, like the disney ones that they announced and the Hatsune Miku versions! There's a Sailor Moon variant from MegaHouse that is pretty much like a Nendoroid (Just saying since you mentioned you love her as well!). Thank you for your hard work!

I’m still kind of a new Nendoroid collector, I went from collecting Funko pops to now Nendoroids more than pops! The first one I got was Naruto 682 as a present and didn’t really know what to do with it until I got bored with pops and sought out a new hobby. After accumulating money to fund my new hobby I found Jiraiya and Sasuke at a local meetup for pops and just used the money I made from selling to buy those two! My collection is growing and I currently have Naruto, Sasuke, Jiraiya, Gaara (Naruto line), Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu (Your Name line), Bakugo (MHA line), and Megumi (Food Wars line). I want to try to get the ones from Naruto and the Demon Slayer ones! The things I love about Nendoroids compared to Funko pops especially is the amount of creativity you can have with these figures, they hold their values so trading shouldn’t be too hard, and THE CUTENESS! My favorite one out of all my figures is Megumi because of her face plates so I really hope to see some more Food Wars characters because that anime is hilarious 😂 If any of y’all wanna see what else I got or possibly offer up some trades my Instagram is @janelmnop 😁
The Naruto nendoroids are some of my favorite nendoroids because of how detailed they are. And yassss the cuteness!!!! I love Megumi too! I'm surprised they never released more Food Wars nendoroids.
Nendo Now right??? I thought that was strange that only Megumi was adapted to a Nendoroid. We can only hope for more characters since the anime is ending 🥺 The Naruto ones I still want/top priority are Shikamaru, Kakashi, and Hinata! Like I can’t get over how cute they look! 😍
