This is so good with only the greatest tunes of the early era of Yngwie. I could listen to this forever. I was a high school student in September 1986. Almost 40 years have passed already. Everyone who is around my age is still listening to Yngwie from this era, right?
On August 21, 1986, I went to see Yngwie open for E.L.P. at Reunion Arena in Dallas, but when I got to the parking lot, I was told Yngwie had not shown up, so since I was there already, I stayed for E.L.P.; I think Cozy Powell was the drummer for E.L.P. then. So, to make up for not showing up in August, Yngwie played at the Arcadia Theater in Dallas on September 14, 1986.
Hi Dawn, what a shame that show didn't go ahead, thanks for sharing your information, great to hear from someone actually there at Yngwie shows back then, at least you saw E.L.P, by the way was there any support if Yngwie didn't turn up? Best regards 😉👌
@@MrAfterglow There was no other band there, so since Yngwie was a no-show, ELP just played. My girlfriend and I were not too familiar with ELP’s music, but we stayed.
@@dawnrider1980 hi Dawnrider, it's not the same when that happens, I wonder what happened to prevent Yngwie from getting to the show, I remember a similar experience Poison were scheduled to support Def Leppard in the UK late 80's or early 90's probably, I purchased my ticket well in advance, theu cancelled coming over, I went anyway as going with friends, likewise I wasn't familiar much with Dep Leppard, Loverboy opened instead, with them being from the States I hadn't seen or heard much about them before, but really enjoyed them, they put on a great show, so stayed but so long ago I can't remember much from both bands, but after being an early poison fan had waited several years to see them, but it just never happened, great listening to stories like yours, thanks Dawnrider 😉👌
@@dawnrider1980 😂 true, it was harder to find stuff out, people of today don't realise how easy it is, I bet you that has puzzled you since then. It was even worse here in the UK if you liked American Rock bands, they didn't get featured as much on MTV etc as they did your country, or as much in the music magazines, I kept I touch by purchasing a hand full of imported magazines such as Metal Edge, RIP, Circus etc, a lot of British rock at the time here but when it come USA artists it was like living on another planet unfortunately, and a lot to this day never made it over here to play. Great chatting Dawnrider, all the best 😉👌
Amazing upload thank you so much. Yngwie was absolutely insane. Funny hearing the crowd reaction during Ill see the light tonight lol, must have been crazy seeing him live
Atmosphere was amazing at shows back then Trev, I can't remember seeing Yngwie tour the UK, but for those lucky folk at Dallas, they obviously had an amazing time 😉👌
All credit to the unknown person who originally recorded the show and shared it, and to those who continued to share it, without them we would not be enjoying this show today, glad you liked it Trev 😉👌
This version of Queen is in Love is amazing, it is played half step down from the original recording and sounds more majestic and richer and maybe even better than on the album.
