Love the railroad! Took my grandson a few years ago, before the pandemic. He loved it! I think he was 7 or 8 at the time. My family and I rode it when we were kids!

We took that ride about 3 or 4 years ago. Very nice ride.

oh man. Nice video. Wish I knew all was at Strasburg. Just first seeing this now. at 13:57 you will see a camera. That is one of the Virtual Railfan cams. That one is their Paradise PA cam. They also have one at Strasburg as well on the switching tower. Both can be found on youtube.

We took our son and daughter here many times in the late 90s and early 200s. One time we took a picnic lunch and stopped at the picnic area! My son loved Thomas theTank, and we kept his collection for him. Don’t they stop and blow the whistle to hear the “ghost train” (echo) anymore? Thank you for the memories!

Strasburg is the oldest "operating" railroad in the USA. The Baltimore & Ohio started operations 2 years earlier in 1830. Of course, they are no longer operating, but the original tracks are still in operation by CSX. So, technically they oldest railroad in the U.S.

@@jbinthehills Your welcome!! If you are ever in Baltimore the B&O Railroad Museum is an outstanding facility. The Roundhouse is full of historical railroad engines and cars, including the Tom Thumb, the original engine of the B&O.
