  • Puhoi is one of New Zealand's historic villages, about 50km north of Auckland, just north of Orewa, situated on the banks of the Puhoi River. Originally settled in 1863 by Bohemian immigrants, and it still retains much of its Bohemian atmosphere and culture.
Here you will still find the local hotel & pub that was established way back in 1879 and also the smallest library I have ever seen.
Walking around we saw quite a few interesting things, even a rope swing for a bit of fun!
From here, if you carry on to the upper Puhoi Valley, you will find the Puhoi Valley Cheese Company, and is well worth a visit.
A very popular cafe with great food and a nice outside area where you can sit and the kids can play.
They also manufacture premium European style cheeses and of course... ice cream!
Thanks for watching and please subscribe
