hey, im looking to get one of these on my t4 but I was worried about security - I know if someone wants the bikes bad enough they will but do you find these racks strong and safe enough for full time van living? to stop someone stealing the bikes I mean. cheers. love your Chanel by the way! we live in a T4 too :D
They are pretty strong even if builded just with aluminum. Only be careful to not hit a tree while manoeuvring! My bike is locked and so far nobody try to steal it. Anyway, as always, if somebody want the bike....

one bike yes, two no. You can find good gas struts up to 1000N anyway, the problem will be without bikes to close it!

One way from EU to Canada with flights for 2 + dog was around 1800 euros.
