You probably did but just wondering if you notice in the Japanese set you get one Masterball reverse rare which was on your last pack. All the reverse rares were Pokeballs except for that Horsea in the Japanese set.
That Japanese Horsea is a masterball reverse! You only get one per box on the Japanese side, much more rare than the standard reverse

@@Ruxin34 it's been years since i last watched/collected pokemon but charizard was always my favorite. the basic foil charizard, blastoise and venusaur were my favorite cards. i wish i kept them, they are worth hundreds now.

It's pretty cool that Pokemon TCG is printing the original 151. My prized possession is a complete set of base set (not shadowless or 1st ed unfortunately).

Always enjoyable to see the OG 151. Always was a huge fan of Haunter & Arcanine, and still carry my first Haunter & Arcanine with me in current gen games.

Charizard for sure. Persian, Gyarados, and Scyther were also favorites when I was younger playing Pokemon Yellow on GBC.

I really enjoyed the video Ruxin! Used to collect Pokémon cards when I was younger and it’s awesome to see how far the card game has come. Favorite Pokémon from the 151 would probably have to be Gengar.

With any luck they'll do this for the following gens as well, a set with all Johto pokemon, Hoenn Pokemon etc. Some of my favs from gen 1 are Golem, Ninetales and Dratini.
Venasaur will always be my first love! Always my favorite start on red and blue as well! The unloved finally evolution of the 3 starters. Put some respect on venasaurs name people!

Actually love this set so much. Never really played Pokemon as a kid, but I defnitely remember this first set. These are amaaaazing to see. Love it as a 90s kid.
And gotta say, fav card has to be Snorlax or Lapras. Some really good looking art in them.

I love that they release these sets. My favorite is Blastoise. I remember getting PKMN Blue when it came out and training my squirtle until it evolved before the Cerulean City gym.

Interesting opening for sure! I was always a fan of the original 151 pokemon, my favorite being Gengar. I really like the art on these cards, they look clean and classic, but really vibrant and beautifully designed!
There were quite the nice pulls, that gold card looked beautiful for sure! And Gengar appeared too, so a great and different video!

My favourite card from this original set is still Mewtwo and the mew! I love the art and the way he looks. I love this whole series and the full art for how beautiful the cards are!
Yeah the border colors on the code cards don't mean if you get a hit or not. They changed it when they started doing a holo in every pack. The pull rates in the English 151 are very brutal. The Pikachu is a illustration rare with one gold star. Two gold stars are a special illustration rare and three stars are hyper rare. The full arts are just that there are also English god packs. The Japanese god packs are evolution line of the starters. That Mewtwo card will be a promo card when the 151 ultra premium collection comes out. The ex have a cracked ice foil to them.
I love blastoise, think that was the first plush i had as a child...still got it somewhere in the house🤣🤣

This is awesome! I wouldn't mind seeing more of these videos and it would be so sick if they do this for the 2nd gen too. Pokemon silver was my jam back then. I've always preferred the yugioh cards because they're more edgy but I love pokemon art has so much variety. This admittedly is making me want to get back into Pokemon collecting just a little lol. Especially with the beautiful full arts. The art on Metwtwo, Ditto, and Aerodactyl in particular in this set are just awesome.
The starfoil is kinda cool just because it's an homage to the original sets. Nice nostalgia of those lucky moments getting a foil back then and seeing it glitter fresh from the pack. Looks horrible in yugioh though LOL.
So Pokemon made it to where you get a guaranteed holo and two reverse holos starting with Scarlett and Violet base with the alternate arts coming in the second reverse slots. The reason is they increased the prices but decided to give better value. Also the pull-rates are nuts.
Now that you say that I do remember that change!

Charizard will ALWAYS be my #1 favorite. Had a 1st Edition Base Set Shadowless Charizard card as a kid and of course as a child I didn't take great care of it as I didn't know about card sleeves and my deck spent a great deal of time in my pocket 😭
After amassing all the original 151 in their Base Set era prints, seeing them in the new frames are kinda refreshing. My favorite of the first wave was definitely the Hitmonchan. Jab and Special Punch all the way.

Just in case you didn’t know I think a couple the Japanese ones you pulled with the pokeball looking pattern are masterball inserts and most of them go for $10-15

Honestly both boxes were amazing! Your masterball reverse holo could have beem better but the mew SR was a nice hit for sure. The English box was just insane.

My favorite pokemon is Togepi. I had the the little Togepi toy that came out in '99 I think that made sounds when you pressed the hand.
My favorite Christmas present I ever got as a kid was the Pikachu stuffed animal that you can squeeze it's palm and it's cheeks lit up and made noises. That thing was so dope lol

My favorite Pokémon of all time has always been Abra, I’m stoked we finally get kadabra back for the first time in over a decade in this set because that means I can finally run my favorite guy instead of having to skip straight to the Alakazam 🙌🏻

This is not the generation I grew up with (Sinnoh and Unova ftw) but there are some of my favourites - Pikachu, Growlithe/Arcanine, and the full lines of Eevee, Magnemite, Machop, Gastly.
All this thanks to Pokemon GO in 2020 that made me appreciate them more and buying at least 1 game per gen since the 4th 🤣
