Helen I wanted to tell you how much this last sub box meant to me. I had to suddenly leave my home after there was a fire upstairs two weeks ago. My place has smoke damage and I won't be returning. I have a new place lined up and I'm safe and OK. I was able to retrieve some of my journaling implements and some pens and things from my apartment but the sub box was delivered three days after I moved to a hotel. It took more than a week before I found my focus to sit down and do some journaling but the sub box seemed to have all the right things for me to do an amazing monthly set up in my Line A Day journal. It really grounded me when I was walking around like a zombie in a daze from the events. Perfect 4 washi tapes for what I needed 🙌

Don't worry, there are plenty of people whose first language is English and they still struggle! LOL You're great. Your voice is great. Your English is great. Just be you!!
Your voice and type of journaling is the reason why i continue journaling. Its an all in one notebook and I love it. I get my inspiration mostly on you
Hi Helen, as a 61 year old who absolutely loves your authencity, voice, videos and everything you do for us planners, please, you do not need to explain yourself. Your tribe comes to you and loves you for who you are. If you are wanting to explore the english grammar can I suggest maybe looking down the path of TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I am a Londoner by birth but never got to grips with my schooling English Grammar, until I actually completed the TEFL course myself, introduced to me by my wonderful friend who is an English Teacher but also taught TEFL to her foreign students. You can access these courses online too. Go Well xx

Thank you so much for sharing Helen! I am sorry you feel like you constantly need to explain personal aspects of your life, like how you speak, because I love the calming experience of watching your videos. I get louder and louder the more excited I get…. We all are so unique which is awesome! I vow to celebrate our uniqueness!
Ahh thank you Jenn 🥹 I think I'm just an odd person in general so I have to explain a bit haha. I appreciate your support and reassurance 🥰 Wishing you a great week!!
I've been spinning around on this earth for over five decades speaking English as my native language, and I have done a fair bit of grammar study too. And I get exactly the same brain farts over expressions like that. I think these kinds of glitches are normal!
I’ve never thought anything about your narrator style because it’s being done at the same time you’re concentrating on writing & planning. Always seemed natural way to be speaking to me
Not speaking much is so common for those of us who are neurodivergent. Sometimes I can’t even think about talking to people. I just can’t understand why people feel the need to bring it up. Like we’re all different and they can just… you know, not mention it? Also phrasing difficulties, I absolutely understand, and English is my native language. I really love watching you plan, it’s very relaxing to see you put your plans on paper and writing with your lovely pens 😍
Im genuinely surprised how much the words “I think there offten needs to be a period of discomfort for changes to happen.” acted as a balm for my soul as a queer disabled woman who is now terrified to continue living in America.
I adore your voice! I look forward to your new video so much because after watching them I'm always in a calm, peaceful good mood. I appreciate you explaining but I hope you never try to change ❤
I think your voice is great- very calming and peaceful. i honestly think that’s an odd thing for people to comment on, frankly (at least negatively), but that’s the internet for you. And your English is great- I would assume you are a native speaker if you hadn’t said otherwise. ❤
I like to add the weather at the top of my journal days. Your voice is beautiful and just perfect. Don’t change a thing! I’m a subscriber for you and your work and love watching your videos!
Another wonderful video - thank you! I, too, find your voice calming & soothing. And don’t worry about have one of ‘those moments’ occasionally; happens to all of us. Love you & your channel! ❤️🌹
Oh My Goodness. I love your voice. I live in East Texas and you need to hear me talk. I just discovered your channel and I can't get enough. you keep on doing you.
I loved ‘you are watching a Helen malfunction’😂 I feel like it’s true for a lot of us journalers that talking doesn’t come naturally - you are not alone and you’re also doing a great job! I love your voice🫶
Love watching your plan with mes. I hope the canada post strike gets resolved soon. I watched a lot of english movies when i was younger so that's how I learned grammar.
I feel like when I watch your videos you are so poise and your words come out so clear and beautifully as opposed to myself where I stumble on my words almost every time because my mind works faster than my speech 😅
Would it be wrong if I said I think you’re perfect?! ❤your videos are so very inspiring, honestly. You have a gift and believe others struggle with that ❤ I’m always wondering what mine is… I’m a mama of two and live check to check…brain is full ALL OF THE TIME, I have struggled for ages now trying to find the proper system that will work for me in regard to what’s important to me for a season. I have worked hard in the past few weeks, I have turned my new weeks hobo in to a meal log/mood tracker, I have purchased a cheaper journal from Walmart to log and journal for my kids and their days and my cousin is my main for all functional planning and journaling for the daily pages… you are one that’s inspired me that’s it CAN work❤ bless you Helen and we are thankful for you and your creativity and work!
My husband has a very quiet voice as well. I think it's just how some people speak, I know people whose speaking voice is VERY loud and that is difficult for me. I thinky our speaking voice is soothing. Also, my husband says the best way to learn grammar is to read a lot (he was an English and Spanish major for college, Spanish is his second language)
I live your voice Helen, it calms me to watch your videos. Also, seeing your plan with me videos makes me want to buy one sheet of every sticker you sell 😂
Helen, first of all, your voice is perfect just the way it is! I do find it very relaxing as well. 😊 Second, Please give yourself some grace. You are knocking it out of the park! Your grammar is fine! I’m in awe of how much you do and how often you try to get out of your comfort zone in order to grow. Especially with your anxieties that you talk about. So please, give yourself some grace. Also, where did you get that meal prep sticker with the girl wearing the chefs hat from? 😁
Ahh thank you so much Cynthia 🥹🥹 This made me smile today. The meal prep sticker is from my store (search E1131) and the cheft girl is from FoxandCactus!
There's nothing wrong with your voice and the way you speak! Sometimes I even work with you talking in the background because it makes me feel comfortable 😆
Apart from usual schooling, I never specifically studied grammar. I did, however, read a LOT! All my life. Reading extensively helped me develop a wide vocabulary and a good understanding of grammar 😊
Dear Helen, regarding the issues for speaking, working with a speech pathologist may be transformative for you quality of life, for they may be able to diagnose something that us laypeople cannot forecast. Also, regarding help with English, keeping a common-place-type journal to take notes while you are reading has been of great help for me personally when it comes to getting a better grasp of linguistic mechanisms. A great writer to start off with may be James Baldwin and his Essay Collections. His introspective writing may lend itself well to these types of videos as well.
I was also going to suggest looking into working with a speech pathologist. I learned relatively recently that difficulty with verbal expression is common for people with ADHD because of issues with executive functioning and working memory and those can be addressed in working with a speech pathologist. This is what my daughter has been doing and it has been very helpful for her and has reduced the amount of times she gets frustrated because she can’t sort out what she’s trying to say.
I'm late to the party due to a busy weekend. Happy Planner Times, anyway. ❤ I was born in Canada, and it's my first language, and I still screw it up, lol. La-sigh, Canada Post, going on strike before the holidays...happens every time the contract is up for renewal.
I really like your voice. It’s very relaxing while watching. ❤ unlike others that sounds loud and tiring. Also, if i want to fall asleep i just play your video and listen to it. 😅
I always look forward to watching your videos bec Sun is a time for me to relax (eventho I do laundry & iron my scrubs this day), watching you while ironing is always my routine. It's a bit late today but still part of my relaxing Sun routine. Pls restock your collab inks again & brass clips pls.
Ahh thank you so so much!! Hehe I will remember this now ^_^ And yes yes you got it. I have 1 batch of ink left for this year, and brass clips for early 2025!!
Don't feel badly about your use of grammar and vocabulary. I grew up in a family where proper vocabulary and verb tense was stressed. I find that most people that I know sound illiterate to me. Believe me, your Grammer and vocabulary are perfectly fine. Best way to help improve your language skills is to read english fiction writers who just write well. To me I find that your amazing work speaks for itself. Never apologize for being who you are. Others criticism, they should just look in the mirror. I too have suffered from the habit of self criticism, it’s destructive and pointless. In the words of the late Ricky Nelson: you can't please everyone so you might as well please yourself. I am an American senior and I find your accomplishments impressive and awe inspiring. You just be you. 😊
Another great video helen! Thank you for taking the time to do this 🙌. It’s funny you mentioned veg soup. I guess it’s that time of year b/c that’s what I made for dinner. Found a great recipe on a pkg of whole foods split peas. It was so good. Hope yours was too 🫶
I LOVE your voice! It's so soothing. On occasion I have a hard time with overstimulation and I know I can rely on any of your videos to be easy to listen to and useful. I also just appreciate the effort it takes, both physical and emotional, to do something this vulnerable. Thank you!!! P.S. Where did you get the cute, circular stickers that look like library checkout cards? :D
I have a few orders with you I’m not worried I know they will get to me when they need too I’m from uk so use to a bit of a wait I’d rather they be safe with you Helen until they can be shipped no need to worry sending lots of hugs to all Canadian post people ❤xx
I always appreciate the way you speak and your grammar. You then say you need to work ok your grammar. My reaction 😮 how bad is my grammar that I've been amazed with yours and you think yours needs improvement 🤯
Love you to infinity and beyond. Going to a speech pathologist might be worth it Baby Bear. I had a friend’s dad who has Parkinson’s and his speech was getting to a point where he could barely be heard. He went to a speech pathologist for 2 weeks and he can now speak and be heard while doing so.
Ahhh this is inspiring to hear!! I never considered that and I'm aleady searching up speech pathologists in my area lol. I get frustrated when talking so hopefully this helps!!! Love you more
My grammar got much better when I studied Latin and linguistics in university! Latin would be difficult alone, but linguistics may help you. Though, honestly, you sound like a native speaker to me! English is weird and hard
I strive to plan like you! I’ve been trying to do so for over 2-3 years now😅 I usually stop planning because I get busy or I can’t find a planning method that works for me. I really hope this upcoming year is my planing year!😊 if anyone has any tips please share them🙌🏽
Hi Helen! I think I have never commented on any of your videos before, but I do enjoy them a lot. About how to improve your grammar, may I suggest a workbook? It's English Grammar in Use, it's from Cambridge University and I love its method, English is not my native language either and I have used and enjoy all the exercises a lot. Make sure to get the version with the answers for the exercises though!
🍲🎬 Remarkable employment. I stand inclined towards, anniversary packaging. My gratitude for the mirth. I loathe, cancel Canada Post. Hope it climaxes. 🎬🍲 #HobonichiCousin 🎬🍲
I just assumed you speak that way intentionally because asmr is such a thing right now 😅 but figured it was none of my business. It’s weird, I think, for people to comment on it! You do you! So glad I found your channel and shop. I can definitely relate to your perfectionism. When you make comments indicating that you feel you should be better or do better or whatever it is… I always think 2 things: 1- well, im not the only one hard on herself. 2- I wish this amazing girl could see how amazing and talented she already is! 🥹 for example, your grammar… I just found your videos a few months ago, and had NO IDEA until today that you’re not a native English speaker. 😮 in fact, I work with a regular cross section of American women, and the intelligence, insight, and diction you speak with is in the top 1% for sure. 😂 You’re a light! Keep being true to yourself. ❤
I am Team Relaxation! ❤ I hope your cutting machine is feeling better! *hugs* Thank you for saying that there needs to be discomfort first. I forget. I also forget that everyone is on their own timeline, and no two lives look alike. I have one untracked order, but I'm fine with having to wait a little while. I believe in workers being paid what they are worth and receiving benefits they deserve. But I'm sad it is making business difficult for you. ❤ I hope you have a fantastic week! 😊 P.S. Your English is better than a lot of native speakers. Which is your dominant (first) language? Chinese or Japanese?
I have a lost order from October 2 and I will send another email out. I haven’t heard from anyone. This was long before the strike so I’m wondering what to do. I always will from now on do tracking.😢
Lol the internet is funny 😅 people will say on things online that they would never say to your face. Your voice sounds 'normal' to me! I get people tell me that my accent is horrible and I shouldn't speak in my videos! Haha.
I think you sound how you do in real life! Also, do you mean "I wouldn't change anything about it?" When talking about your designing multiple things at one time?
@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo I think it's so nice for you to share your human side and didn't edit that out. It's hard to think about everything while recording 😂. It's like a pop quiz.
Hi! Please feel free to send an email to ask about your orders! We don't know how long the strike will go on, as it could just be a few days. But we have several options to offer our customers in the case that this lasts much longer!
My (ex)boyfriend and I broke-up last year 😅 The friend I'm referring to is actually my friend! Although, I use to refer to my ex as a friend on social media just for privacy reasons 😊 It's not typical!
Your voice is unique and beautiful, Helen! I also had a mute period in my life because of the comments I received on the sound of my voice. It can be frustrating and upsetting, but never forget that your voice carries power and a message that people need to hear! 🫶
Helen, there is nothing wrong with your voice, it is calm and very therapeutic to listen to. You speak clear and I have never heard you slur your words. I love your videos and when I need some quite soothing time you are my go to person to listen to. So you stay true to you, we love you xx❤
Thank you so much Vanessa 🥹 I appreciate your reassurance!! Wishing you a great week!!

Helen I wanted to tell you how much this last sub box meant to me. I had to suddenly leave my home after there was a fire upstairs two weeks ago. My place has smoke damage and I won't be returning.
Thank you so much for your suggestions Lynn 🥹 This comment really means a lot. I will keep reading!!
Nice🎉 It looks really organised and minimal at the same time. ❤
Thank you so much!!!
Another great video helen! Thank you for taking the time to do this 🙌. It’s funny you mentioned veg soup. I guess it’s that time of year b/c that’s what I made for dinner. Found a great recipe on a pkg of whole foods split peas. It was so good. Hope yours was too 🫶
Thank youuu for watching!!
Yum yum I love split pea soup but I always get the canned ones. Maybe I should attempt to make some myself!!
Happy Sunday Helen!
Happyyyy Sunday Mariah!!!! 🥰
I have a few orders with you I’m not worried I know they will get to me when they need too I’m from uk so use to a bit of a wait I’d rather they be safe with you Helen until they can be shipped no need to worry sending lots of hugs to all Canadian post people ❤xx
Ahh thank you so much Rachael!! I appreciate your patience & support 🥹
I always appreciate the way you speak and your grammar. You then say you need to work ok your grammar. My reaction 😮 how bad is my grammar that I've been amazed with yours and you think yours needs improvement 🤯
Nooo I cut out a lot of my mistakes 😅
Been waiting for this to drop … as usual .. never disappoints
Hehehe thanks for watching!!!
Love you more
Happy Sunday Helen❤
Happy Sunday Kimiko!!
Helen, I have to be honest, I've been speaking English my entire life and I still do exactly what you did then like daily. 🤣
My grammar got much better when I studied Latin and linguistics in university! Latin would be difficult alone, but linguistics may help you. Though, honestly, you sound like a native speaker to me! English is weird and hard
Aw, yes, I find your voice very soothing! Too many people feel the need to shout at the camera 😅 Love your videos as always, Helen! ❤
Ahh thank you Joy!! I do wish I was a bit more upbeat 😅😅 I sometimes bore myself hahaha. Have a great week!!
Your voice is totally fine.❤ 😊 I can relate to you.
I strive to plan like you! I’ve been trying to do so for over 2-3 years now😅 I usually stop planning because I get busy or I can’t find a planning method that works for me. I really hope this upcoming year is my planing year!😊 if anyone has any tips please share them🙌🏽
Ahh thank you so much!!
I do hope you are able to find your perfect system 🥰 Good luck!!!
The Laptop sticker is so cute
Thank you Tatiana!!!
You subliminally created and then blurted out your future Cheeto Crumbs washi tape design-it’ll fly off the shelves! 😆😅😂🤣 ❤❤❤
🤣🤣🤣 Maybe an orange polka dot washi and call it "cheeto crumbs"
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo❤
🍲🎬 Remarkable employment. I stand inclined towards, anniversary packaging. My gratitude for the mirth. I loathe, cancel Canada Post. Hope it climaxes. 🎬🍲
#HobonichiCousin 🎬🍲
Please share your vegetable soup recipe. Mine is "the same" I'd love to know what combinations other people use.
I have the TWSBI EF as well, and yours looks so much finer than mine. Maybe I am using too much pressure?
Helen, would you consider making the M-Su sticker stripes as a washi?
OHH this is a great idea!!! Noted noted 🤭🤭
Love you and love your voice.
Ah thank you Marjorie 😅
I am Team Relaxation! ❤
I hope your cutting machine is feeling better! *hugs*
Thank you for saying that there needs to be discomfort first. I forget. I also forget that everyone is on their own timeline, and no two lives look alike.
I have one untracked order, but I'm fine with having to wait a little while. I believe in workers being paid what they are worth and receiving benefits they deserve. But I'm sad it is making business difficult for you. ❤
I hope you have a fantastic week! 😊
P.S. Your English is better than a lot of native speakers. Which is your dominant (first) language? Chinese or Japanese?
Ahh thank you Cheryl!! I want to be on team relaxation too hehe.
I appreciate you always .
I love your voice ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the pouring rain sound on the background omg 🥰
Hehehe I love Vancouver for this reason
I have a lost order from October 2 and I will send another email out. I haven’t heard from anyone. This was long before the strike so I’m wondering what to do. I always will from now on do tracking.😢
I love the ink on these pages 😊 is that a Twsbi fountain pen? The nib looks very fine compared to mine?
So... all my washi goes at the top because, well, I DON"t get up early. LOL
Lol the internet is funny 😅 people will say on things online that they would never say to your face. Your voice sounds 'normal' to me! I get people tell me that my accent is horrible and I shouldn't speak in my videos! Haha.
One rule for myself now is I neverrr ever judge someone's accent! It's amazing to be able to speak 2 languages. Keep going Alex!!
Read out loud. Helped me alot. Start with a paragraph, maybe a page, to a chapter, every second chapter, etc.
Ohh reading out loud is a great tip!! Thank you
My second order from you is currently adrift because of the strike lol
Liebe es 💖💕
my favourite voice 🤍
There's my favourite person!!!
7:12 -- "there's nothing I'd rather do" ?
also wanted to say i appreciate you.
Thank you so much 🥰🥰 That sounds so much better than whatever the heck I was trying to say hahahaha
So what you’re saying is I picked a not so great time to make an order?
If you selected untracked shipping, then not a great time :(( Tracked shipping is processing as normal!
I think you sound how you do in real life! Also, do you mean "I wouldn't change anything about it?" When talking about your designing multiple things at one time?
I was trying to say the opposite of "I would rather do anything else" 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 Man that was painful hahaha
@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo I think it's so nice for you to share your human side and didn't edit that out. It's hard to think about everything while recording 😂. It's like a pop quiz.
I've lived in the US for 26 years and I still struggle with English 😅
Sigh, I guess it'll be a lifelong struggle haha
@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo yep 😭
❤❤❤
I’m worried I won’t be getting my two orders. 😢
Hi! Please feel free to send an email to ask about your orders! We don't know how long the strike will go on, as it could just be a few days. But we have several options to offer our customers in the case that this lasts much longer!
@ Thank you Helen! I will keep you up to date on what happens. As it sits now it says might be delayed because of labour disruption.
@ strange thing is that it is in California right now? 😳
👍
51 seconds ago o.o so early
Thank you!!!
Can I ask why you call your boyfriend your friend? Is that a Canadian thing? Also, I love your voice its like ASMR
My (ex)boyfriend and I broke-up last year 😅 The friend I'm referring to is actually my friend!
Although, I use to refer to my ex as a friend on social media just for privacy reasons 😊 It's not typical!
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Oh lol I actually know another Canadian who does that too! Thats why I wonder. But I get why you do it. Have a lovely day! :)
second like! just in time :3
Thank you!! Have a great weekend ^_^
@@TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Have a great weekend too! we love you keep it up ^-^
Also, the people asking dumb questions are so cringe.
Your voice is unique and beautiful, Helen! I also had a mute period in my life because of the comments I received on the sound of my voice. It can be frustrating and upsetting, but never forget that your voice carries power and a message that people need to hear! 🫶
