Without question the best channel for RV'ing.

Thanks for the tips. I've been noodling on this every since I saw your video. Price and my long history without one held me back, but got a Christmas special that got me to buy the two I need. Again thanks.

Jared. We just bought a class C. I cannot express how happy I am to have found your channel after watching all the drivel on ytube. Wife and I are watching football turned down low and I played a couple of vids on my ipad and the wife who is surfing her phone on the other sofa, sits up and says, “Who is that?! That’s our guy right there!” I said, “I know, right?” Sir, you get right to the point, articulate, concise, the music is not obnoxious, the content is excellent, production value is very high….I’m blathering. Fantastic videos. I subbed on the first one yesterday and have been binging ever since. You are number one in my thinking, for rv content. Keep em coming!

Thank you. Perfect timing for our family. I was going to order a stay-extender and a gas stop this morning, then I saw your video in my messages and held off the order. So, we watched it and it confirmed our decision. We clicked your recommendation as to which gas stop to get for our Class C and it was the same as we had already put in our cart. So, we clicked it from your channel so you'd get the "influencer" points. Again, thank you.

I did a video when I first mounted it but this is version 2 where it comes out much farther on the drawer slides, moved it farther to the right and opened up more of the storage on the left. It has made that area so much more useful.

Quite appreciate topic. I just got a recall notice from Jayco for the propane regulator (Winntec model 6020 two stage). I haven’t had a problem yet but something to be aware of.

Awesome video as always. I have the gas stops and a sniffer. Had a slow leak and fixed it with both the gas stop showing the leak and the sniffer to find it.

Just know if you have an onboard propane generator and plan to use it, you need to remove the gas stops first. I purchased gas stops a couple years ago and like to never figured out why my generator wouldn’t crank up. The gas stops was the only thing I’d added / changed in our setup since I’d used the generator before. Removed them and it cranked right up. The gas flow is too much when using a generator and the gas stop detects it and shuts it down. Just FYI!!

Really appreciate the informative videos and as a newbie to the world of 5th wheels, (we own a Grand Design Solitude) you been most helpful. However, we had two of those gas stop devices on our tanks and we continued to have false readings and the gas shut off. We know they were false because it cost us upwards of $400 in service calls (two calls in two different states). Got fed up and just took them off.

Thanks again for great content Jared but modern OPD valves on your tanks are supposed to shut off the flow of gas in the case of a catastrophic failure like a ruptured line.
The sniffer looks useful but is it any better than soap and water

Great tool. I have one on each of my travel trailer tanks. I also went the extra step and purchased the GasStop pig tails. When normal pig tails are connected they stick straight out after the GasStop and take up extra space around the tank. The GasStop pig tail makes a 90° turn directly after the GasStop gage. This not only provides some extra space, but makes it easier to put my tank cover back on. They come in different lengths. I chose the 18" one so I could have a larger loop, reducing stress on the hose. Works great.

I love the idea and function of the GasStop. We bought two then installed them when we put her in storage for added safety even though tanks were closed.
I found though when we were in the rig the first time that I couldn’t get propane to flow through either GasStop valve. Not like there is much instruction to them so I can’t figure out the issue

Be sure to press down on the gauge once you open the propane tank. It resets the shutoff valve.

We installed the Gas Stop on our motorhome and since then we have to keep turning on the stove to bleed the air out of the lines where before we did not need to do that. We feel better having it on the motorhome though so we will deal with that.

We purchased and installed one on each of our two 30 lb propane tanks this year. We are only part time but having them as well as our carbon monoxide detector, smoke detectors and three new fire extinguishers makes us feel safer. We keep two fire extinguishers in our truck while traveling. We move one into our 5th wheel when we’re set up, which gives us 3 in the camper & still have one in the truck. Safety is a huge priority!!!🤗

Hi Jared, watching your video I noticed that you have a ball level fixed to the front of your king pin box. I couldn't find it in your Amazon store would you happen to know where I can get one?
    Thanks, Paul

I'm new to rv'ing and I can't for the life of me figure out why I constantly smell propane. I've had to buy a space heater bc the smell.of propane is sooo strong when I use the heater. But now I'm smelling it even when nothing is on (heater/stove). I guess I need a propane sniffing tool that I didn't know even existed!

When I want to check for a leak I make sure all propane appliances off, turn the bottle off, and watch the tank gauge to see if it moves.
I notice the tank gauge level changes considerably with air temperature.

When we were in the 70 to 80 or higher weather it worked awesome

Testing propane WC at the stove top is not going to be accurate. The stove has a regulator. So you are testing after the main regulator. To do a proper Propane water column test you would need to be before the regulator on the stove. We reccomend testing at the refeigerator
