- Throw Over Saddlebags for the Harley Davidson Softail Slim comes here now in this video profiling Modern Bounty Hunter Rex Venator's personal Yoke design in combination with custom, handmade, leather, Pony Express style saddlebags made by the masters of leather at The Leatherworks located in Stockton, California.
Discover how Rex with the expertise of the fine people at The Leatherworks defeated the many problems plaguing all Softail Slim owners who want saddlebags but do not want to spend considerable amounts of cash on relocation kits for the brake lights, license plates, and the same saddlebags sold in mass and that all look the same.
Rex Venator is a published author and small business consultant operating California Fastest Growing and Most Trusted Name in Bail Bonds and Bounty Hunter Training Schools.
See the 2013 Softail Slim 204 Cams Vance Hines video and watch the sound evolution from stock to Screamin Eagle to Vance and Hines. I think it will be of interest to those who are thinking like most Harley owners do.
They are Leatherworks Pony Express Saddlebags with the Rex Venator Yoke.
I wanted to keep the Vance and Hines the same length as the stock pipes; moreover, I really dig the longer pipes.
1lavar56, thanks for viewing the video. The trick to this rig is the Yoke and how the Pony Express bags anchor down. The throw overs will work while you're riding solo, but there will be snags when taking on a passenger. The Longs extend to the rear of the Slim as far as the stock pipes and Screamin Eagle Slip Ons, and I personally prefer that look is all. The sound difference presented remains astounding to me.
Call the Leatherworks to make sure that a two up would work with these custom made saddlebags for the Softail Slim.
Model Number 103s.
Rex what model number are those saddlebags?
