Not many now remember that Bruce Jenner was once the World's Greatest Athlete. . .an honor bestowed on the winner of the Olympic Decathlon. Bruce won the gold medal for the US in Montreal in '76. Even with the title of the world's greatest athlete, he later said that he had issues with his gender. He had a great look on ChiPs. Fit right in.
@@kiltedwolf2 he scored the most points for the decathalon (at that time) and he was definitely a great athlete. dont know why he had issues with idnetifying with his gender. but yeah, i never realized he was in CHiPs.. and i used to watch it religiously lol
@@TheHenrymontemayor Yep. I watched it. Bruce/Caitlyn and I are the same age. He was a magnificent athlete. The decathlon is such a grueling event over two days of competition. It's my favorite Olympic event. I was a good athlete (baseball/basketball/tennis) with exceptional "throwing" skills, pretty fast and could jump But the pole vault? Huh uh. No fucking way. And yet, decathletes do it all. He had that great hair and the All American face and yet, deep inside, he was battling emotions on gender. You might recall that Wheaties box pose with Jenner carrying a small American flag after winning the gold. I saw him back then on ChiPs. And occasionally on reruns now. Now sure why I like this show as much as I do. It was kinda hokey but the chemistry among the actors was good. Calif still was a nice state then. The show still has "legs". Rerun heaven keeps us all happy.
I love watching Chips as a Teenager, I tell you, I had the biggest crush on Erik Estrada. I made sure I watched every show. As long as Erik was on the show, I was watching. You guy's where great!!!!

The disco police. Who remembers when Ponch fell off his motorcycle in an episode and was shown in the hospital for several episodes with a broken arm? That really happened. Also, Bruce Jenner got my vote for the most changed by time.

The movie was crazy
I lived in the same small town in Oregon with Randi Oakes. Our daughters were on the same volleyball team and it was funny how much a normal mom she was at games, yelling at the referees and cheering the team. I met her husband, Gregory Harrison too.

I did not know Michael Dorn (Worf of Star Trek fame) was also this show. I saw Eric Estrada when he visited my little town a few years ago. A very nice man! Also Michael was cool too, I had the pleasure of talking with him at his autograph table (took a pic) 4 years ago. I am very happy also to see everyone is still alive and looking good too.

OMG 😳😳 Chips again from back in the days 🏍️ I remember when I was a kid I was big fan Eric Estrada and John his motorcycle 🏍️ partner and I used to say to myself I got go out there California and see them and actually happened I went to all grown up and I had the honor of seeing actual Chips the main the real one officers but didn't have the chance to meet the ones series but it was honor meeting the officials officers Well God Bless Them all
