I still so confused about how Ranbir’s character was romanticised at all. He gets called a demon at every point in the film. I understand criticism like they did stretch a lot of unwanted parts in the movie and could’ve given more screen time to bobby and Anil-Ranbir dynamic. But sticking to the template of wanting movies about Negative characters always moping with sad background music and a lot of self introspection also gets boring. They stylised his character, but it’s very evident from the end that Ranbir’s comeuppance is coming.

I notice now biased this industry is, when sahid did kabir singh he was bashed all over by everyone, bollywood award show boycotted him from any nominations and didn't even nominate him for any awards, meanwihile ranbir is being showered praised over maybe same level of acting as sahid in kabir singh but animal is a dull movie but Kabir Singh was a cult classic except then last ending everything was great still no praises for sahid at those times

The biggest problem is people think they can dictate who people should immitate and who shouldn't. Just because I want a society in a particular way, doesn't mean others want the same exact thing. Whatever I think is morally right, may not allign to what others think is morally correct. The problem is any one side trying to enforce their way being the only or right way without any valid reasoning. Give people information about everything and let them decide if you're for democracy. Why dictate what you don't like to be immutable.

Why so much hostility towards Ranbir Kapoor, especially from Achara???? I didn’t think you guys needed reminding that the actor is NOT the character he plays and that just because you hate the character, does not mean you take it out on the poor actor. Punishing him for being a starkid? His ancestors does not do his roles for him ok and they basically built Bwood in a significant way so he deserves to WORK there. You have so many misconceptions about him and situations that you judge him by. He had to basically build back himself up and had many struggles because His career was basically derailed and reputation destroyed when an entitled playgirl from the outside (yes Achara outsider) who was hiding her sleazy character went on an evil PR campaign to destroy him because she felt entitled to marry him and ride his name and falsely accuse him of what she was doing on the down low. He is the main actor there, so he’s allowed to speak and control the narrative a bit especially when some people are not appreciating how convincingly well he play his character which was basically several characters as it evolved. You’re also wrong about Bobby. He does not come with huge star power, he was never a huge, he was a FAILED romantic actor despite many opportunities but towards the end, he did a couple of roles people liked. He does come with a family legacy of his father and brother though....interesting, nothing about nepotism is said about him or Anil lol. ACHARA equating her being on set for 5 mins of her life to him being on set is a JOKE.......Jealousy or being paid to bash is always provoked by the brightest star.

@@sergemerto256 I don't mind stupid that much, and they don't have to like an actor but this feels more like INTENTIONAL MALEVOLENCE, especially from Achara!!! It's quite out of their normal character of good sense, even though naive at times. It just doesn't feel right. I feel that they being paid to attack him. All kinds of monetary deals are made that we're not aware of especially because they're not little anymore and Bwood and it's PR machinery are quite aware of these channels and use them. I used to love Achara but now that I see what she's capable of, I can't.

I felt the same thing about this movie what Jaby is saying he felt about Wolf of wall street. I don’t think negative qualities were romanticed, we were just seeing what the character felt or in Jaby’s words seeing the story through characters eyes.
The movie is always shown from someone’s perspective or the from a few characters perspective and animal was shown from the Vijay’s perspective and how he turned into a negative character. Ofc it’s a bad person so he will do bad stuff idk what the fuss is about

Kill Bill glorified violence but because it was a woman everything was a go. I feel like the hypocrisy shows even more when Lord Bobbys character is shown rap*** his wife in front of guests and children because oh Muslim can’t say anything . The final scene with the butcher , literally no one has any issue with that either. There’s an anti Ranbir sentiment and no matter what he does he’s always attacked. In Sanju he was playing Sanju . The movie didn’t glorify his actions at all but people were after Ranbir. Alia said something completely different for Ranbir in a complimentary manner in her vogue video that he likes her natural beauty, that was twisted out of context . Ranbir said something completely different for urfi on kareenas show that was twisted out of context too so people have a problem when he breathes . They can’t handle the whole package because they want to sell the idea that only outsiders can act insiders are only there for privilege and connections. Hrithik is attacked too but RK gets the bulk of the hate and THAT shows that he doesn’t spend money on PR training as achara points out. He has no entourage. You should see actors gushing on how wonderful Ranbir is . Aamir and kangana push that narrative for other actors and the rift has widened since SSRs suicide . Ranvijay’s suffering or comeuppance is similar to joker’s and we know that the joker didn’t stay in jail but amassed a large following so there was no point showing an arrest because then the audience would have a reverse issue that police can be paid off it’s stupid to show him in jail he’s the richest industrialists son, so you can never win unless you’re a woman . Ranvijay could have killed tripti’s character , didn’t . He was willing to lose his children for his wife’s peace of mind who wanted to go back. He only hoped for his dads love but didn’t get that either. He’s lost his bladder function. Hearing function, heart , bones and sometimes living with your choices is worse than the final blow of death. His father is dying and the movie didn’t promote violence . It told a story of a criminal and criminals kill and they cheat and justify their actions. There is an animal in all of us that does not come out primarily because a criminal needs expertise or money or both. Indians lack both to a larger extent and that is why we are more peaceful than Americans who cannot think out of the box and if you’re a gun owner , expertise and money isn’t needed to pull the trigger at every triggering event .the more hate that comes SRVs way the more his film will make money so keep hating and keep peddling what people want to hear. In private Jaby liked the film but cannot admit to that . Achara is overthinking as usual and wants to plant problems . The interruptions happen because bassi is very irritating and Ranbir wants to put him in his place and also anil and Bobby are slow to finish the sentences and press junkets are exhausting . Ranbir is always alert and reactive to people around him. That’s not mansplaining or being toxic , the actors have an understanding amongst themselves . You’ve seen the tanmay bhatt interview which was longer than 20 mins Ranbir was not interrupting . Bassi doesn’t know how to hold interviews.

Ranbir Kapoor is son of fabulous actor of his time Rishi Kapoor (died at age 67 in 2020 with 92 movies first film in 1955)and Ranbir Kapoor ( age 41 with 33 movie and first movie in 2007) is a classy and phenomenal actor when it comes to movies and his issue is he gets into the role when he do any kind of film and it takes time for him to get out of any role that's why people loves his acting. And Anil Kapoor is cousin brother of Ranbir Kapoor's father(Rishi Kapoor). The consistency of Anil Kapoor acting is great from movies 1971 to 2024 and he had done a role bollywood movie also in Mission Impossible- Ghost Protocol of Tom Cruise and really nobody can match his stamina with respect to age, love towards acting and living life in a happy way.

See I can understand that some people dont like Animal for whatever reason. If the same was said by a couple of nonsense critics and pseudo feminists I would have let it go. But for people who have knowledge about filmmaking and storytelling to say that "he didn't suffer enough" is silly. So according to you it would be better if Ranvijay died at the end after doing what he did that would have made it all ok for you? Death seems like a easier option then what he has now, he will have to see his dad die Infront of him without being able to do anything about it. TBH what i get is that................Most of the people didn't understand the character and what they are gng through and what is happening and why are they dng like that..... People doesn't even know what is an ANIMAL at all... Animals are violent but also very protective about their families and that's the story here in ANIMAL movie.... And there are diff kind of ANIMALS and each have diff character and here in this movie RANBIR and BOBBY are 2 diff kind of ANIMALS but the only common point is that they love their family and are protective towards them.....
Also movie is for ADULTS and if they are getting influenced then that violence nature is already deep down there for that person..... Sooo no people that get influenced (the ADULTS 18+) by the movies are either sick or they are not mature enough......

None of Ranabir's family members supported him; everyone is saying he chose the wrong path. However, I never perceived Animal as being judgmental or endorsing any behavior. I saw it as a unique storytelling approach. Sandeep was unemployed for 13 years while pursuing his dreams, facing numerous struggles. Seeing this content portraying an underdog is fascinating to me. While "The Wolf of Wall Street" felt unpleasant to me, I didn't perceive it as glorifying bad behavior when I was 21. I've encountered people who indulged in drugs similar to Leonardo DiCaprio's character. I believe it's about the films you've grown up watching that shapes your perception. I can explain almost every scene in Animal and understand 90% of the intentions behind them; the director is from my state, and I can see his vision. However, it's painful to see it being completely misunderstood.

Dude the biggest point one doesn't understand:- at the end,Ranbir's character hasn't got anything he wanted ..
His father is still leaving him nd has 6mnths on the earth
His wife is leaving him..Nd he will always thrive for his child's love..
So at the end the character isn't celebrated nd they are not justifying the character to b the best ...
These guys need social validation so they act like they don't get it.

Sandeep vanga casted a nobody like Vijay in his first film and delivered a blockbuster.. He can work with anyone. Obviously Ranbir star power made it bigger hit but it would have been a hit even if it's a nobody imo
He nailed the movie with Vijay Devarakonda, nailed with Sahid and nailed with Ranbir. Even tho i might not like his statements in public interview but boy oh boy i love his films

I really don’t understand when they watch godfather movie series they talk about performances, delivering great performance for flawed character or not showing flawed character suffering is not glorification of that character... we have to see the movie as movie, when it comes to animal they are being judgmental ...hypocrisy ...

unfortunately i dont agree with u on that. This movie did romanticized the negative qualities but not in way u are thinking jaby has said that but by making it look cool. Wacth taxi No9 2 11 with nana patekar and john abraham once u will understand why bcs both those characters are flawed and were meant to be hated but it doesnt glorify it but instead show mirror to the audience.

And mind you my favorite show is breaking bad so I understand complex main characters/anti-heroes in movies and shows very well. People just need to stop using these characters to justify being bad human beings in real life.
