Got taught the lean off the bike when raining in the 70's by police motorcycle instructor on a motorcycle saftey training course. It doesn't rain all the time in the UK, just most of the time. As always lots of laughs.
Love seeing you go everywhere. Had to subscribe!!!! Plus I was wanting the Tracer 9 GT+ until I started researching the Africa Twin on the advice of my supervisor. He also wants one. Man that AT Adventure is one sexy bike!!!! Damn straight you should buy one before I do.
Hello Smokey, why do you use calimoto and not liberty rider or waze , or google maps ? is there a specific reason? btw i love your vids. Keep up the good work :D
Calimoto makes it own routes , and it shows pictures being taken at certain spots by other motorcycle riders. You can find other pictures taken closeby and navigate that way by a tap on the screen. So easy to use and fun too 😁
Very interesting , enjoyed viewing all your video’s on my weekend. Hello from UAE 🇦🇪. The Trans alp is not yet launched for the Middle East. Safe ride mate
Was ready to order smokey bubbles but they're still under construction ? When is the site going up ? mixed up the end screen ? Yes i watch and enjoy every second of the video's 🙂
Maybe the DCT is an ok feature, I believe, but only 100hp, with three luggage cases and a passenger, would it be enough power for traveling?…I don’t know…😅
@@LifeofSmokey I did it! Bought the 1290 R just before you did. What a bike. Also had offroad wheels and tyres for it. A handful but very capable off road as you have shown. But on road, Wow what a machine. I love wheelies so I loved my KTM. BUT, riding it became an event, in a good way, and sometimes you dont want an event, you just want to ride. Then I saw your video on the launch of the the AT you assembled. You muttered the immortal words " the DCT changes gears in a wheelie". I watched the video 3 times listening to the engine note to make sure you were correct. My 4 previous DCT Africa Twins would not allow you to change gear in a wheelie, which resulted in me buying the 1290 R. Problem solved. Sold the KTM and bought the same AT you put together. Loving it. Riding it more than I was riding the KTM just because it is so easy, undemanding and good fun. Those who question DCT have not given it enough time. IMHO.
Smokey, loving the series. I thought I was going super adventure 2 years ago (how I found you) but went ATAS instead. Have not regretted it. Let's see what my next bike is though.
Yep it's coming for sure. The roughness of my current suspension and seat is just killing my back and behind. I need something that's more made for cruising but has a high fun factor 😊
Subscribed for the jimny and justy content, I guess now it’s a full blown motorcycle channel now . Had to unsubscribe. Thanks for your jimny & justy videos they will be missed .
Where should my next adventure go to? 😁👌
Indonesia
Oostenrijk lijkt me wel gaaf, dan wil ik wel mee 🤣
Southern California
De Alpen
UK tour!
Keep the Africa Twin videos coming ❤️💙🤍

Let the KTM free…just sold my KTM and picked up my new AT 2024 ES Manual yesterday…best choice of all ❤
which KTM you had?
You can use Calimoto thru Carplay on the big screen of your Africa Twin!

Love your positivity all through the video and your preference of small roads….😊
Goeie kwaliteit video/audio! Leuk om te kijken zo, eventueel nog leuk een pov te hebben van naar achteren naast de uitlaat of iets in die richting

I believe you also rode the predecessor of the africa twin, is the 2024 version much better?
Nope only 2024 Africa Twin Adventure Sports , 2024 Transalp and normal 2024 DCT Africa Twin,
@@LifeofSmokey This must be your fav? I would love this 2024 DCT ❤ love your content. Groetjes vanuit Nederland

Ok I'm gonna fully load it , and ask a 120kg friend to ride with me 😂
Eey Smokey, what kind of navigation app do you use?
Calimoto this time :-) #calimoto
@@LifeofSmokey Nice thanks, maybe for the future if im maybe maybe haha, get a new bike with navigation on my phone instead of Garmin Zumo.
I use the Zumo on the KTM as main gps in case I get lost. The Calimoto app has more "fun" build in 😁
Are you gonna get rid of the ktm and keep the Honda?
I have serious doubts about it 😅

12:40 Dave Portnoy fan I see.
A fan is too much to be honest. I like his style and how rude he can be against Karens 😂
Is bike still top heavy at low speed handling 😂
No feels fine to be honest 😁
Did you say 7l for €40 of petrol 😮
Think I said 14 :-).
Okay 😂 I was about to scrub Germany from the list 😂

Never trust gas station sushi.
I think you should stay as a KTM dude, there must be a new one in the pipeline, maybe 1390 adventure R ?

OK I understand - you have to take care of your back, and thats a good reason and the AT is for sure a fine bike 👍
