I lived on Franc Bourgeois, so I know you couldn't get to most of the places into a short video. But here are a few cool things: the Uniqlo store was the site of a smelting plant. Go downstairs to see the old equipment. L'eclaireur on Rue Sevigne' looks small, but is big in back and has amazing collection of avant-garde clothes. Carnavelet Museum is about history of Paris. Anyway, Marais is my favorite part of Paris. It's like Tribeca in NYC. Once it was a run-down industrial area, but it has been re-discovered. (Actually, Haut-Marais is now a bit more chic.)
Its called "une carafe d'eau" or "d'eau de la Maison" for those who are wondering. D'eau de la Maison" is literally "house water" or "water of the house" ie tap water. But I suggest you go for "d'eau minerale" for better service.
When traveling Paris with my mom in 2001, I learned to asked for une carafe d`eau which didn't seem to affect our service at that time. Paris continues to be one of my favorite destinations

Thank you for your insights! We wanted to highlight the fact that only by asking for" une carafe d'eau" (house water) you would get the free water)
@@2inparis Yes! of course d'eau minerale isn't free, thats why you get better service, because you are paying!
