And with regards to the validation issue, I understand this is a document store has no schemas, so it might be difficult to do any sorts of validation, but not having a way to check what's been set has worked until at least 3-4 hours later is not great. My gut feeling tells me there is no easy way around this due to the lack of schema, so maybe just make sure you triple check there is no typo and a dashboard to see the deletion behaviour in Cloud Monitoring to be sure.

Just to confirm after 20 hours, there are around 6 out of 20 Transaction entities left per namespace and it definitely affected all namespaces.
