  • A 5-minute astronomy documentary of the constellation Gemini, with tips on how to find and recognize the constellation and when and where to see it. Views of the open cluster Messier 35 (M35), the multiple star Castor, and more!
Gemini is visible before dawn in the fall, in the wee hours in early winter, and towards midnight around the New Year; it remains visible in the evenings well into spring.

Thanks very much-I’m delighted you’ve found them useful. (I’ve been taking a break, but more videos will be on the way soon.) That 130 will be great this time of year; wishing you clear skies... :)

You're welcome Kani! :) I think it's great that you're still looking at the sky, even though it sounds like you were getting "stuck" for a while. You're right about using Orion as a landmark to jump off from--by the way, you can go the other way from the belt (away from Aldebaran) and find bright Sirius in Canis Major... By the way, I have an Orion video, and one on Leo, the next bright ("easy") constellation to the east of Gemini. As Orion and Gemini sink into the west at sunset this spring, Leo will become your new landmark. Orion is at th-cam.com/video/gCinDvOAx9U/w-d-xo.html and Leo is at th-cam.com/video/5yaIbEChENk/w-d-xo.html. Wishing you a clear sky! :)

Somtimes the star outline of Gemini resembles 2 stick figures then a horseshoe

Yeah, I really don't like this horseshoe outline. The stick figures one is beautiful.
