It’s a labor of love, you can tell! I have mad respect for making a fan animation that really pays tribute to the series. But as a hardcore fan of old school anime, yeah, the style definitely isn’t 80s. Doesn’t move like 80s or has any of the characteristics of 80s style other than the marks on cheeks and noses. It’s reminded me much more of 80s cartoons, that had Japanese animators, but still followed a more western style. Still props to the animator(s). Nice work!

Animations take a very long time to make and since these scenes aren’t continuously the same it definitely took quite a while to animate multiple different scenes together and then editing it also takes quite a while so

I love this animation! It reminds me of a comic book, and personally, I think it would look better like this than an anime. The characters are cool to look at, the face expressions are on point, and their movements are fun to watch!

This is cool yes, but one the things in japanese animation openings is..no spoilers at all. xD Like whatever you see in the opening are never scenes you see in the anime itself. Whether or not it looks like an anime from the 80s doesn't matter. It was freaking sweet. I'd watch it alongside the live action show. Steve fighting the demidogs was the best part. I also laughed seeing un-dead Barb still there in the end. That's what they should have done in the show kept her around.
Boondocks has an anime feel to it. For example, look at how the mouth moves. It's more of an imitation of anime where western try to copy anime but is mixed with western drawings.
You realise it would take over 15 years to reanimate the original series and copyright issues are a thing the reality is if he doesn't have a team of 20+ professional animators then this guy is nothing I bet it took him several months of maybe a few years to make this masterpiece and it's only 1 minute long so don't get your hopes up unless he gets funding 50k+ then it MIGHT be possible I saw might becuase 50k is below minimum requirements to start a animation like this

As interesting as it looks. I believe Live-Action best suits the physical theme of the story due to two things. One, the story is dark enough anyways. If Stranger Things went on an anime budget I personally think it would be challenging to get on top. Although, it would appeal to many people anyways. So, I’m not really to doubtful about this.

Because the events are not in order some events are over exasperated (example Will throwing up that slug) and because some of the events included aren't even in the series. The only reason that this video would get 1 million view is for the few events in order and the amazing animation the animation is great

anime was inspired from america, as "anime" is just "cartoon" in japanese. now anime has evolved to have it's own distinct style and it's even its own genre. older anime looked like something from scooby doo or all the cartoons from back then.
Its gave me the godzilla animation in 1998 vibes and not really 1980 anime vibes...
