Hello From Central Kentucky. I was scrolling here on TH-cam and immediately stopped when I noticed the 1020 John Deere. Wow, It has been many years since I had seen one of those tractors which brings me back to my childhood years back in the 1970s in which one of the horse farms in my area had two of the gasoline engine 1020s and a 2520 gasoline John Deere. The two 1020 John Deere tractors had the mid mounted John Deere side sickle mowers in the days before the “Batwing” mowers came on to the scene for cutting large swaths which was very necessary for large acreages. Dad used to borrow one of the tractors for mowing the property where I live at now because the 1020 with the side sickle mower was perfect to cross over the creek to mow down the taller grass that usually didn’t get mowed all that often. The farm ordered all of their John Deere tractors with the orchard exhaust system rather than the standard tractor muffler like what your 1020 has. That plow turned out rather nicely with the powder coating.
