Did yall even watch the series? It is very obvious how much effort, budget and time each episode will need, so it makes perfect sense that it'll take 3 years before the release of another season in this case. Y'all are so used to the quick but poorly produced shows that y'all treat the top-quality shows the same way :/
It’s the post credit scene the player’s numbers are 096, 100, and 353. So if any of those numbered players had been killed in these games, then it’s definitely an older past game
EVERY EPISODE IS AN HOUR AND MORE LONG!!!! Understand that just because it's 7 episodes doesn't mean it's short. A series takes MUCH time to make, especially a series of this level, so don't complain that it took 3 years for this. The story is great and it really builds up for the third season, it's like a part one to this season
People that are familiar and watch kdramas are used to series/ lasting longer, people just felt cheated with how abrupt this season's length is. Might as well make this season 2 part 1
People need to also realize that the writer worked on season 1 for close to a decade almost before someone finally decided to give him a try for this show so he probably didn’t think to premake a season 2 cause he didn’t know how season 1 would go so when it did make a big hit he legit had to sit and think what can he do to try to make season 2 just as good or at least good enough to hold up to season 1 for the time he had to legit come up with a plan script plots etc in 3 years he didn’t so bad at all
I don't think this series will really have a happy ending. Remember in season 1 they revealed that these games occur in multiple countries. So even if the protagonist stops this game in Korea, the rich will just go to another country to bet.
That was definitely the front man's point. There will always be another front man. There will always be another game. There will always be desperate people who can be manipulated to kill each other. And the VIPs (us the audience) will always tune in
“How do you think I got to where I am now?” The Messenger man with briefcase said. He killed his own father. Think of the fact his position was much less important than the position of the Frontman who (I believe) had to do something even worse to get where he is now. I believe the Frontman got to where he is because he killed his own pregnant wife. They wouldn’t give him this position without doing something so extremely evil.
They need someone who's capable of managing an entire organization, not just any evil guy. I ensure you many of the players from both seasons are/were more evil than Front man but they ended up dead because they weren't smart or useful like him. He is a former police officer who seems to have a talent for handling an organization like this, that's why he was chosen (unless there are more reasons to this, we should wait and hopefully see in the next season. One other possible reason I think of, is that he's probably Oh Il-nam's son, so that would make sense why he was chosen as his successor)
Did you even watch the show? The ddakji salesman killed his father as one of the snipers when he saw him join the Squid Game, thats why he got promoted to being the salesman. The Frontman's wife was sick, how was she able to participate in the games and why would she? Sigh
@@smharyanto4660 that's not a theory, thats what they showed us in the first season, when the brother found out In-Ho won a game years ago on a list in the frontmans room. And in this season they literally hold us about his life
actually the frontman (inho) was a participant of the 2015 squid games and won (confirmed in s1 ep5), so im guessing thats how he got the job, the creator (the old man from s1) probably saw his ruthlessness and potential and maybe offered him the job as the frontman, and since the old man was going to die of a brain tumor anyways he wanted inho to continue the games for him
Player 456 plan was so stupid . Watching all the X’s die while you hide like it was some big sacrifice when really he watch his own people die for nothing.Did he really think we could take the guns from the guards, storm his way to the management room and kill everyone? No idea of the layout of the place, didn’t take ammo to consideration. My opinion was kill all the O’s and get away then. Player 001 gave player 456 so much chances to back out from his plan but was still eager to storm the management room.
im guessing it was to show more of ops point that gihun and frontman (inho) are two sides of the same coin, inho wanted to show gihun that he is no better than the frontman (himself) for playing the “hero” if he allows sacrifices and deaths of the very same ppl he wanted to help save
your idea is even worse. if you kill all the o's, you waste ammo and will still be eliminated by the guards because you rebelled. getting away is not easy, you said it yourself, they dont know the layout of the place.
They were all going to die anyway because they would be outvoted and forced to play another game. Also, the other side were fine with killing his people to outnumber them. It would've only gotten worse so the time to strike was then. The only issue was they needed more people on their side to revolt
What I really liked was how the front man started using gi-hun’s strategy during the games but still showed him that most people who are in the games would rather have the opportunity to win and face death, than to leave and face their consequences in the real world.
Honestly the show is really fantastic showing how and why the games will always continue. There will always be super rich who want to manipulate the poor for entertainment (we see this outside the squid games just with the recruiter and making the homeless choose...people who literally have nothing to lose will still choose money or sustenance). That whole scene had nothing to do with the squid games...it was purely for the recruiters entertainment. There will always be desperate people who will kill each other for money or entertainment. There will always be another game no matter what happens. Kill the front man? Well, the games will always continue (as we see with the front man in the games and the 2nd in command taking over). I think to make a stretch. Season 2 shows how far two people who both think they're right will go to prove they are right. They started a squid game war inside with sacrifices and casualties. This season had more parallels and references to the Vietnam or Korean War showing that the game 001 and 456 are playing war and everyone else around them are sacrifices for the greater good.
@@cheetah219 However I do agree in the video is that even if choices are present, the group you are with can sway the votes. That ultimately doesn't give people a choice because those who don't want to be there don't just get to leave if the majority voted to stay. Which is a good comparison to how elections are done as well with the leader with majority votes gets the power. However, yeah if your choices are already limited than really do you have a choice? Barry Schwartz has an amazing book called the paradox of choice so its hard to say even if they did have more options.
Unpopular opinion- Season 2 was a 10/10, the only reason people are complaining is because they either grew too attached to the characters in Season 1, or because there were moments in Season 2 that felt too comedic for them
@elroyraphaelmartin6609 Hey, that's why we gonna get s2 part 2 aka s3. So I'm sure we will get answers like. Did saybek (player 67) mom get to the south. What happened was it player 246 did he survive. What's the come of triangle guard 11 were her daughter. What happwn to gi hun. All of these I hope most will be answered in next season 3 (s2 part 2)
Somewhat unrelated note, S1 we got a look into what it's like to be a circle pink guard. In S2 we got a deeper look into the pink guards through the lenses of a triangle pink guard/pink soldiers. I think that in S3 we might see what it's like to be a square pink guard (pure speculation)
Most of her backstory resolved around her transition into a woman yet you call her your favourite character while calling her a guy 😭 Genuinely asking, how does that work to you?
They better release s3 in 2025 with no delays. Season 2 itself was pretty entertaining but as everyone said, it felt like a half of the show, we barely got anymore time with the detective team and the end part literally turned into some Call of Duty bullshit and it’s really unsatisfying to have to wait a few more months to not see the frontman never pay for his actions after his manipulative genocide. The writers really know how to make a tragic show about how fucked up the world is.
I have a feeling this will be another Spider verse situation, where they promise back to back seasons/movies just to realize it's way too hard to do so they end up delaying it by years possibly
It feels more like a mid season break than the end of one awaiting a new one. I don't feel like I'm waiting for season 3, but rather waiting for the second half of season 2
I like the changes they did in the games to better illustrate to gi-hun that they did make their choice to be there and when they had several chances to leave with the amount they had majority still choose to stay.
@mineidaley8896 incorrect, they say it first bit it is infact their family. There is even a scene where the front man jokes about seoung being the word for last name in ep 4 i believe if you dont believe me
@mineidaley8896 no, more just a "if you do more vids on this, pronounce it properly to the show and country" i enjoyed the video and the content was good but just a little thing that bugged me haha
Dude this season’s ending was such a big cliffhanger. Like what happened to Jun Ho and his team, what’s going on with number 11, what’s going on with the front man? Like bro… It felt like they forgot to release 3 episodes
not a prediction but a hope. i want so badly for Gi-hun to become the new frontman. somehow his brain gets so screwed over that he takes over the games. ALMOST CERTAINLY won't happen, but i'd love for it to. would be a crazy ending.
I actually think that might be the point of the show. He's clearly special and been allowed to live this long. I think he is the frontman's replacement.
What was the front man trying to prove by participating in the games himself? He basically risked his life countless times thinking plot armor would save him.
He did have plot armor lol. He wasn’t in the first game, he made sure his team went last so they could just shoot everyone else and he could just go back to being the frontman in the second, and when he went by himself during the 4 group round in Mingle, it’s pretty obvious he went into a room by himself and they didn’t shoot him. Also he’s there because he’s trying to break Gi hun and convert him to his ideology that humanity is bad and selfish and greedy and the trash deserve this and stuff. Also the reason he didn’t kill him in episode 7, he was trying to teach him a lesson and break him down even further
I love this season. It was hard to duplicate the first season but I felt that the creators did a great job making another great season! Can't wait for Season 3!
It's kind of wild to me that Gi-Hun didn't have any conspiracy type of thoughts about player 001 after the last game and the years he spent building up an arsenal for ending the games. They even antonym sounding names. "Oh il nam" as in old and "Oh Young il" as in young. I know the 2nd one has both "Old" and "Young" but still. The post credit scene is definitely another game. Player 100 in season 2 is the old business dude with grey/white hair. But in that scene, 100 has dark hair. It very well could be in the past. It might be about revealing that The Frontman is actually the son of Oh Il Nam. Or it could be a whole other game setup going on in another country.
My theory of the post credit scene is: It's the first game of the next Squid Game. As a punishment for the rebellion, either all survivors or Gi-hun will send to the next game to round 1 with new participants. This time the red light / green light game is with two puppets. One which looks from the front, one from the back, because Gi-hun can't cheat with his "All stand one behind the other" thing. In Season 3, in the new show, the games will be all "Kill Gi-hun" games, specialy made to break Gi-hun. The games are now minor matter and it becomes a double vendetta between Frontman and Gi-hun. At the end the front-man loses, because of his overconfidence to not see the betrayal of soldiers right behind him, while focusing on Gi-hun. Perhaps one or more game makers will even end up turning away from it because the games will lose their fundamental sense of supposed equality.
Has anyone remembered that scene where they burned the coffin, and it seemed like the person inside was still alive? It fell over before the fire started.
the coffin drops down to where the doctor is harvesting organs, they still turn on the fire so that the people in charge of the games dont know theyre harvesting organs. but i believe 001 knew about it happening
the ending with 2 dolls means that the game red light green light game will be harder since they cannot hide their movements from the back anymore since there is a back doll. the members will play red light green light again but this version or there is a set of new players again.
Now in retrospect, the frontman being the old man’s son seems very plausible, especially with the milk Easter egg The frontman’s ideology was identical, along with the 001 Great video, thank you
If your choices lead to the same outcome if you never chose at all, was it really free will? Playing the games by the rules or breaking them by rebelling leads to the same result of being a another harvested corpse.
A couple of things. "Seong" is the surname so it's more like the last name. Hi name is "Gi-Hun". Also, "Seo" is pronounced more like "Suh", so his name is pronounced more like "Sung" than "Se-ong"

I miss the days where a TV show had 22 episodes in a Season, plus you didn't have to wait 2-3 years for a new season 😂

100 in the current game is a stocky old-ish man while the post credit scene 100 looks younger
Making no. 11 a soldier was pure genius.
@@soylapantera first season was just 9 but i see your point.

People need to also realize that the writer worked on season 1 for close to a decade almost before someone finally decided to give him a try for this show so he probably didn’t think to premake a season 2 cause he didn’t know how season 1 would go so when it did make a big hit he legit had to sit and think what can he do to try to make season 2 just as good or at least good enough to hold up to season 1 for the time he had to legit come up with a plan script plots etc in 3 years he didn’t so bad at all
Could’ve sworn his first name was Gi-hun and his last name was Seong lol
it’s different in south korea, family names first and name last
it is
They have their family names first. It's annoying the hell out of me that he keeps referring to him as Seong
Yes, please use his actual name. If you use his last name at least pronounce it properly.
We’re either gonna see Gi-Hun die as a hero, or he will live until the end, and become the villain.
They deadass played the call of duty ghost betrayal at the end of the show except ghost and roach weren’t betrayed lol
real man
I don't think this series will really have a happy ending.
Sigh
My theory is the frontmant used to a player too, and won it. But still with all the money his wife still not survived
If 001 didn’t betray him it coulda worked
@@c87kim Idk, other guy froze getting the ammo. It wasn’t a great plan.
I'm fairly certain regardless of the post credits scene being a flashback or the next game, it's going to be a "trolley problem" type game.
Unpopular opinion- Season 2 was a 10/10, the only reason people are complaining is because they either grew too attached to the characters in Season 1, or because there were moments in Season 2 that felt too comedic for them
I agree with you it was 10/10
Season 2 was wonderful ❤
I loved season 2 more
it's okay, but it has way too many loose ends.
there are way too many topics that were NOT given a proper conclusion.

They are grooming gi-hun to be the next frontman. I bet the final season will end with him taking over.
not a prediction but a hope.
i want so badly for Gi-hun to become the new frontman. somehow his brain gets so screwed over that he takes over the games.
ALMOST CERTAINLY won't happen, but i'd love for it to. would be a crazy ending.
I actually think that might be the point of the show. He's clearly special and been allowed to live this long. I think he is the frontman's replacement.
It's kind of pointed out the frontman might have actually been a previous contestant?
Well if u have watched Korean series, they do this concept a lot😂😂
I absolutely love that the clip you start the video with is in Korean :)
What was the front man trying to prove by participating in the games himself? He basically risked his life countless times thinking plot armor would save him.
you need to pay more attention to detail
I think he was trying to understand and get to know 456 and how to relate to him
He did have plot armor lol.
So it is confirmed. Season 3 will come out in 2025 and we will get a movie called “The Squid Game” the movie will be related to the post credits scene

It wasn't even a cliffhanger at the end of the season, it was just a season cut in half.
the ending with 2 dolls means that the game red light green light game will be harder since they cannot hide their movements from the back anymore since there is a back doll. the members will play red light green light again but this version or there is a set of new players again.
