Hello Jared enjoyed the video I had some bees but lost my hive last year enjoyed having bees and getting to have fresh honey glad to see y’all enjoying though take care God Bless
You don't need a heated knife or any kind of knife. Just take a fork and rake it over the capped honey to break them up, then put in the extractor. I have a friend with tons of hives that does that with the fork
I love watching your videos. I am a 72 years old wife, mother and I have 7 grandkids and 1 great grandson. I learn something new from your video because this is the first time I seen how honey is removed from the honeycomb.
That honey looks so good. It's a labor of love. I remember when my dad had several bee hives. I wasn't much help but I do remember all the work he did with them. Could I also request a live performance of you playing your banjo. I miss those lives you use to do. God Bless you and your family.
Hi Jared and family. I love the old extractor. As beautiful as that honey looks I bet it tastes even better. I love your kitchen as well. You did a fine job building it. Jared I really enjoy watching your videos. Been watching for years and I'm glad you're getting back into sharing the Fluty Lick Homestead with us. Have a great week and God Bless from West Virginia.
Honey at the grocery store near where I live (northern Illinois) averages about $7 for a pound and a half...guessing that to be about 13 or 14 fluid ounces.
The big question is who gets to lick the spoon at the end of the job. I know I'd be lined up waiting for that job. Very informative, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful honey!! Such a pretty color! What brand of butcher knife is that? I need to replace mine. They are past the point of being able to sharpen them, so I am looking for something like yours. One more question. Is that an antique sink? I absolutely love it. The entire kitchen is beautiful. I don't think I have saw it since ya'll put the new cabinets in. It looks so pretty! Hope ya'll have a wonderful Memorial Day! God bless!
That was really a great video Jared, you got some fantastic looking honey there. Enjoyed the shot of the new kitchen against the Log Home you rebuilt, would like to see more of your work inside the home that you and Larkin and the kids have done. Really looks great around there. Fred.
Grand to see that machine! You do not have to tool pull those frame. Lay a pair of 2 x 4s under the ends of your super. Press down and the pop down. I think we did a video on their use. Happy harvest!
Hi Jared, that was a very interesting video. I never saw honey being extracted before. So , I learned something new today. thank you , for sharing this, your friend, Louise
