Has our culture not caught up with democracy? This unhealthy state of affairs is two-fold: a. How the citizens view the government; and b. How the government views itself. The “we know best” mentality is so rampant that most new PAP candidates do not even stop to question or think about the reasoning behind a particular policy. Take Tin Pei Ling for example.
If you are so unhappy here, why don’t you apply for citizenship elsewhere? Bring your whole family with you :) you will be liberated and be much happier than you are now (hopefully)
How is a falling slab of concrete, made by materials chosen by the HDB authority, a problem that my parents, who have been paying their lease their entire lives, have to bear? If pap is so great why they never listen to the people? If such instances of spalling concrete date all the way back to 1984 at the very least, shouldn’t HDB look into better building management? How many people need to be grieviously hurt by falling concrete for HDB to recognise that this is a serious issue? HDB leases are 99 years long, and we should not have to worry about such serious safety issues in a flat barely a third into its lifespan.

The structural integrity is going to be kept. But it's basically a whole revamp on the interiors.
