The main pit is a magnet for sub aqua divers and has taken many lives over the years. Within the quarry grounds lies the derelect remains of the once impressive Talysarn Hall. Home of the Quarry owner, Thomas Robinson who abandoned his estate in 1904. Includes underwater footage taken by '50Plus Divers' and Parrot Anafi drone footage.

My Father worked in a limestone quarry as a blacksmith before he joined the army for D Day (aged 19). He went back after the war and worked there for the rest of his life.

I think being a blacksmith in a quarry would have been my own preference to working on the quarry face. Highly dangerous work and all that dust! Did he shoe horses as a sideline? I know a lot of blacksmiths were also farriers.

@@blackdogwildtrails3123 ........ He never mentioned rebooting horses. After the war his job evolved into a fitter and later hydraulic engineering. Nice video I really enjoyed it.
