@Tinker Belle rigor mortis only occurs after death, so no, that wouldn’t necessarily be the case, that’s why it is called rigor mortis, it’s a rigidity that happens after death, it is a death time indicator, so she couldn’t have rigor mortis as soon as her arm dislocates.
The witches wanted to hurt Olga for leaving the academy and calling out the witches for having ulterior motives. The witches later in the movie admit they left their anger run too wild on Olga. And yes, when Madame Blanc noticed Susie had magic potential she could use to harm Olga she passed some of her dark powers to Susie, and Susie became a vessel to transmit the witches anger on to Olga. The witches though, apparently didn't thought Susie would be so efficient in transmitting their power, so what ultimately happened to Olga being crushed to bits, apparently came as a bit of a surprise to them
You either hate this film or you love it I'm in the latter group I thought it was excellent. Tilda is such an amazing actress in fact the whole cast were superb.
the practical effects in the film was incredible. that basement scene with mother suspiria terrified me to bits. I've never come so close to pissing myself in the theatre.
I don't know the 2 versions so well but I'm impressed that the new director didn't rely on cgi too much for realizing special fxs. I like the actresses too, so I am looking forward to watch it as soon as I can. Thanks Luca!
Omg Olga's death scene is too much, I literally couldn't not sit thru it. Maybe when I watch the movie a second time or having watched this clip because it does show a considerable amount of the scene.
@@avril14thlove The rest of the movie is mainly just creepy, but this scene was truly horrifying. I am able to sit through it now though 😝 ... Technically it also really is a masterfully crafted horror art piece.
@@brianclaudio1942 agreed. As much as it disturbed me, I was so impressed with just that - its sheer brilliance in its craft of horror - and not cheap horror, at that.
They did a great job with the make-up, sound, lighting and other special effects with the girl that played Olga. I was truly disturbed watching her be tortured by the other girl’s violet dance.
I hate in post production the sfx ends up being terrible. Susie’s open chest looked great practically, but in the film it’s CGI to death. Same with Blanc’s neck wound 😑
Some of the most brilliant scenes I’ve seen all year are from this movie. Unfortunately they didn’t add up to a great film. Also, there’s the issue of the ripping off other artists work. You can’t claim homage when you asked the artist’s estate for permission and they said no.
They were making their own version of the original written piece of suspiria not of the other one which is an adaptation as well. These two should be considered as their own interpretations and not compared!
Basically yes. They wanted to kill Olga for leaving the academy and calling out the witches for having ulterior motives. The witches later in the movie admit they left their anger run too wild on Olga. And yes, when Madame Blanc noticed Susie had magic potential she could use to harm Olga she passed some of her dark powers to Susie, and Susie became a vessel to transmit the witches anger on to Olga. I was a HUGE FAN of the original Suspiria by Dario Argento....and whilst I REALLY wanted to love this one (I even dragged a few friends with me to watch it during its opening weekend) it was just TOO DARN LONG! And there was too much going on, too many stories and too much to keep up with. I tried REALLY HARD to keep up with everything that was going on but found myself really confused. The original was REALLY easy to follow and had a unique take on a coven of witches hiding inside of a dance academy (talk about an original idea). Again, I REALLY wanted to LOVE THIS FILM as much as I loved the original but unfortunately, I think they were trying TOO hard to create a piece of art versus a horror film and just ended up getting lost (or losing a lot of people, including all of my friends) along the way. Just my ten cents. Cheers!
I absolutely love the new one. It’s really hard to find a good horror film nowadays with this level of sophistication in terms of its atmosphere and plot execution. Though I have to agree that the movie was trying to balance out its storylines with so many distractions like the war, Berlin, and the witches themselves. They could”be cut some of those political stuff out or build a stronger connection to the main storyline.
I saw this in LA at the Vista an old art house movie theatre recently bought by Tarantino... the hipster AFI students bum rushed the door the minute this movie ended.... waaaaay to long! Muttering the words of disappointment your expressing. And it bombed financially. Though as a former dancer there are parts i really enjoyed ...i fell asleep. It just needed major editing
There was some CGI by using a green screen and green matte on limbs to be removed, so it wasn't purely prosthetics. Still, it looked horrifying and also very well done.
This movie was a huge disappointment, it was extremely too long and boring. Never in 30 years did I see people walking out of the theater and demanding a refund.
Olga's torture is the only scene I really hated in the whole movie. Suspiria is, in my opinion, a great film. You have to decide if you prefer argento's version or this one since they are totally different
Andy Marshak tell that to every other modern superhero film, or any Michael bay film actually. Those films makes hundreds of millions in the box office, but are they really good films? Hell no.
Guadagnino didn`t do the movie for the box office for sure, it was his dream to make his own version of suspiria beacuse it was the movie that made him decide to be a director, he realised his dream.
That scene with Olga though!
I love that they use real prosthetics and practical effects and use digital effects to enhance but not replace them
So that explains why this film was considered for best makeup and hairstyling. Just the looks here are so mesmerizing and chilling to the core.
Im glad i saw that! The Olga scene looks so real i almost thought it was lol

Awesome to see practical effects like this, makes the whole viewing experience so much more upsetting
Love the effects, I just wish the ending was brighter because you can barely see any of this incredible work
You either hate this film or you love it I'm in the latter group I thought it was excellent. Tilda is such an amazing actress in fact the whole cast were superb.
Was superb
Olga really went ⬆⬆⬅⬅➡➡↗↗⬇⬇↘↖↙↔↔↩⤴↘
I'm really desensitized to horror, but Olga's death scene had me legit crying in fear. I had to build up the m courage to just watch this video 😅😅😅

Man, that scene with Olga... damn...
Terrific movie, too!! I pretty much was 50/50 on it upon my first viewing, but now it's grown on me tenfold!!
When I played in theater, I watch this episode for dark and depression scenes. It helped to feel character's mood.
When this is the same director of Call Me By Your Name
When?
@@daliilars3350 It's actually the same director.
OMG right? His direct follow to the most romantic love story movie of all time... a horror extravaganza! 😝🙌🏻
Omg Olga's death scene is too much, I literally couldn't not sit thru it. Maybe when I watch the movie a second time or having watched this clip because it does show a considerable amount of the scene.
thing is, she never died then and there, she was still alive
The worst part was that she never died
yeah i honestly think they took it too far

one of the most brutal and at the same time beautiful scenes I've ever seen
Wow just the featurette made me feel ill. I don’t think I have the stomach to watch this...
Yes, it is nightmarish…. you will need a few days to recover…
I think its a good supernatural horror film, hopely its ready on INFLIXER
I love the Olga death music
Loved the film.
Bravo Olga! Bravo! *clap clap*

This is what we wanna see!
Poor Olga
More like R.I.P. Olga
absolute fantastic work
The death scene look so real
"...and behind it is the mouth."
I hate to break it to you, but that's not a mouth. Lips, maybe, but not a mouth.
I'd still kiss it 😂

It was a great movie.
Awesome
This is from a short horror film called The Ballerina. It’s only about 8 mins long.
Just back from the cinema in Italy that version is completely different I prefer 100000 suspiria of Dario argento was a masterpiece
robert frate didn’t feel like the director saw the original
Were you honestly expecting them to capture the same magic as the first Suspiria?
Tell that to the remake of psico...
They were making their own version of the original written piece of suspiria not of the other one which is an adaptation as well. These two should be considered as their own interpretations and not compared!
Old lady with the black glasses on , there s a original picture of her in early days 19. 20. century
Fucking masterpiece!

Ahaha, did Chloe have a gallon of blood specifically for herself?
I don't understand this scene at all. Like what was going on, how was it affecting Olga, did the witches used Suzy as a vessel to kill Olga?
Basically yes. They wanted to kill Olga for leaving the academy and calling out the witches for having ulterior motives. I was having a luch and decided to click this video, bad timing... :(

that's pointless to say since human limbs can't do those positions (safely). stop trying to sound smart. all prosthetics still stands.
@@korykent5645 CGI too.
I have always felt that these "behind the scenes" were made only as "proof" that everything is false and acting..serving as a paravan xDDD
Olga is poor Olga!
That ending was atrocious. Great scene though.

@Charles Foster Kane Movie lasted only 3 days in a Los Angeles theatre ...
The lack of attendance speaks for its self asswipe.
