The guy who shows the price of groceries doesn't know what he's doing. Argus meat is per kg - not for a steak. Argus is very expensive. In Norway, the bread is baked the same day and cannot be compared with the E addition in the USA. You can buy bread or loaves for $0.70 - but of course it's not the same quality. You must not choose luxury olive oil like this - but can buy normal olive oil - where 1 liter costs $2.8 and not $16 as in this case. You also don't have to buy Coca Cola/Pepsi 0.5l for $1.7 - but can buy 6 x 1.5 liters for $8.5.

Akershus Festning is an old military fort in Oslo and quite a popular tourist attraction there. Used to go there every summer myself when I lived in Oslo.
When I served in the army our base had a visit by a company of American soldiers doing winter exercises. It was -30C and they were literally wearing every piece of clothing they had packed in order to stay warm. So a buddy and I went out in sweat pants and t-shirts and got in line with them for the cantina. The stares we got were priceless and worth freezing my ass off!

Hey, it took me years. And I still have not experienced all of the city. But it's so much more vibrant and diverse than most people realize. Just don't spend all your time in the city CENTRE lol
(And if you do, make sure you know what you can get there, there's also something for everyone, but you must know about it beforehand in most cases)

10 degrees C is not cold to us, when we get below 0 degrees C, so when my friend was in milano where there was no ocean breeze and 10 degrees she walked around in a t-shirt.

+8⁰C can be dangerous if you are nude and not active at all.
But even -10⁰C can be comfortable or even warm in pretty light clothing if you're active and used to it, and there's sunshine and no wind.
I'd say that it's starting to get actually cold around -20⁰C personally.
Although -10⁰C in Skien with windchill in insufficient clothing (just a denim jacket over a t-shirt) was worse then the one time I experienced -50⁰C in Kautokeino (the day we where less then a full degree from reaching the Norwegian cold record).

Today our Prince is running in a marathon in Cph, known as the royal run. Hes running in 3 diffrent cities and there will be 90.000 danes running with him. The good thing about the prices is that tax is included in the price, so there are no surprises at checkout.
Though some things like meat price is kilogram priced, so a piece of meat will say 1kg = a price so if you buy more / bigger pieces, the price increases and that store is a a Kiwi store. I know cuz I work in one and it has a distinct green color though I should mention that there are more expensive stores like Meny that sells even more costly groceries, but they have some more niche items.
You should know that coupons are not a thing, though we have other things that save us money in the long run.
Like diaper/bin/tampon cards or the trumf system.

16:25 ish. Temperatures between 0 to -10 degrees Celsius feels colder than -10 to -20 degrees sometimes. It all depends on the humidity. Dry cold is very easily insulated with clothes. We use several layers to clothes to trap warm air inside a wind blocking jacket/pants. But since Norway is warmer by the coastline due to the Mexican Gulf stream the temperatures seldom reaches -20 along the coast. In the inland we can get temperatures down to -40 or -50 degrees Celcius, perhaps more common very far up north and inlands.

From what I gather, it is a system about hope to be able to be a part of society at large (not a specific society of crime within the larger society), and to see and be with family and friends again.
There seems to be a large emphasis on psychological help and treatment.
I don't know what I would feel if I was a victim, but the mind of the perpetrator as well as thoughts on redemption does matter a *lot* to forgiveness, as well as the circumstances of the crime.

So if the average activity level goes down it's pretty much permanent...
    6:50

    16:34
    -20 is definitely *something*.
But if there's no wind, sunshine, it has been colder last week and you're physically active (think jogging etc) it's actually quite comfortable for a little while.
