    There is no saving State or pattern changes on the drum and the sq seq 😢

      @ with recording midi clips from the séquencer its possible but it broke the loop of the séquencer and his évolution . I Ve got many hardware séquencer and saving pattern is a crucial thing to recall them in live I dont know why they dont implement this on that seq séries 😅

    • @vxd

      @@memorandum7006 you can press "R" or Auto to restart on bar.
      Also, you have the (easy) option of recording the midi to a new track and saving that. I know that's probably not what your asking for. I just finished a video for a M4L step sequencer which is "insane" and you can save the steps too (I forgot to demonstrate that part actually, but I'm pretty sure you can do it.). Vince, how do we record Rhythmic Steps as MIDI? I am new to Abelton.

    The chance stuff is everywhere and it's getting ridiculous. Theres nothing random about music. Like the alphabet you just cant put random letters together expecting to spell words.

    • @AndyParka

      @@AFRoSHEENT3ARCMICHAEL69 there's heaps of creative potential though. Add sounds and creative effects. Press play and start recording. You've now got a mud pie of unique resampled sounds that you couldn't get in a typical structured approach.
      I feel like this feature would be wasted on typical "drum" sounds as demonstrated.

    • @vxd

      when you sit in front of a piano and create music, you are playing a chord and trying out different chords to create a melody, isnt that "chance"? before something is created, there is a step where there is inspiration, and you can use that to move forward with the rest...

    • @MULTIMAN-MUSIC

      This isn’t playing in front of a piano… when composers compose music they do indeed try a lot of things trial and error… for example Bob Marley used to make songs in a made up language, then find the words for it… this approach is used by countless musicians.

    • @vxd

      @@MULTIMAN-MUSIC right, and so with creativity, why limit yourself?

    • @MULTIMAN-MUSIC

      @@vxd Exactly, there are sooo many examples… like using the Euclidean algorithm to generate rhythm… fractal music, cellula automata, modular music… I mean “Brian Eno - Music for airports” is just organised chaos…
      I made a 3 track album based entirely on this concept, putting (musical) constrains on basically random sequencers, that’s the whole idea on generative music…
      I must say, I love random and I’m classically trained…

    If they extend it to eight lanes, I can retire my Playbeat

    • @CarlitoProductions

      @@vxd I mean where you can add drums. Currently you have the alternate drums but that depends on the chance module as well, so essentially it still is 4 drum lanes only allowed. Eight let's you add in more sound for more complex drum patterns
