Love this pump, it's relatively cheap but very fast and stimulating. Definitely recommend as a portable pump.
I'm just wondering: I've heard some people say this won't fully empty the breast and therefore shouldn't be used as a primary pump. Is this really the case, or is it more likely they just weren't using the pump for long enough to get sufficient stimulation, which then caused their supply to decrease? Could this be used as a primary pump? Thanks in advance

I'd say it does well enough as a primary if you respond well to it and get enough stimulation overall. It may not have been the right fit for them or just wasn't used in a manner that supported their goals properly.

Idk if I did something wrong, but my z2 didn't empty me fully and I lost half my supply in 2 days! I have 2.5 years experience pumping with medela pis from 2008-2010, but after I had my son in June, I was really disappointed in the z2. I didn't feel like the suction was strong enough - I used the symphony at the hospital at full power, so I have "strong" nips that need strong stimulation. I switched to a borrowed Spectra 2 and got a full empty right away. I'm still rebuilding my supply, and it's been hard work, but I'm stubborn and determined! Lol! I wish I knew what I did wrong because I do like the z2. It just didn't work for me.
