  • This is a huge episode. We have gold panning, a breakdown 130 miles from help, issues crossing the Canada border and a "sketchy" Ferry Ride over the Yukon River. Join us!

I saw you break the eggs in a previous episode... I really like the idea of a bottle full of eggs. Great space saving tip.

Thanks, Yeah, it really worked well. Just shake and pour. I don't know how long I'd trust them to last like that, but we were on a long trip eating often. I'd say they lasted a week to 10 days in the cooler. We didn't save the egg bottles because it was hard to clean with the small neck so we'd just buy a bottle of gatorade when we bought new eggs.

That’s awesome. And yes Joe was a lifesaver. I hope he sees the episode someday.

Thanks, Never tried magnet fishing but it looks fun. Maybe I’ll give that a shot. I enjoy arrowhead hunting also. The thrill of the find no matter how small.

I've been on that road once and made it to the border but decided not to go through. Cool country for sure. Lot's of free camping along the road but that was back in the mid 90's. That border crossing is much larger than when I was there. It only had one small shack on the north side of the road and wasn't open 24 hours a day.

Very cool. Still not open 24 hours a day. I don’t remember the hours on the sign but I think it closed at 8. The big fire pit in the video is where the border patrol would sit and grill out each evening, burning the firewood they took away from people. Seems like the life to me. The view was amazing. The road itself probably hasn’t changed much and there are still lots of places to pull out and camp for free.

Yeah I don’t know if you could tell from the video but April was a little freaked out. 😳 I had rock solid nerves. 🤣😂🤣 Nope

Dawson City isn’t it in BC? In 1976 I wrote the mayor of that town and he responded to me about transplanting there.

It’s north of BC in the Yukon. Wouldn’t surprise me he responded. Very friendly place for sure.
