It is pretty much like you said. Good add-ons if you are already in the line of tools. As I have always said any tool that gets the job done is a good tool for me!
Hatchet Hardware is a chain of ACE affiliated hardware stores around Albany NY. They have treated me well for what they are, for all the window trappings they have to lure people in, they are still a very practical hardware store.
Thanks for showing these just in case someone is already on this platform. I’m Ryobi Green, Metabo Green & Bauer Red (it was a gift). Keep’m coming Bear.
I purchased the soldering iron. Lowes has a BOGO, so I could have gotten it for free, but already had the tools that were part of the deal. Iron is not bad. Got it for on the road emergency repairs. As for those who say you can get it cheaper on Etsy, good luck! Couldn't find one for the V20 line. Closest I could get was over $100 for a iron made for the Dewalt line (from Australia), and that would require a battery converter to fit the V20 batteries.
I only have one craftsman power tool, the versa stack radio. I got it on sale with a battery and I love it. Great for yard work, beach trips, in the shop. I might have to add the fan to my line up
Have the iron and the rotary tool, both great mobile options 👍 Use the soldering iron for auto repairs at work and the rotary tool primarily for puppy paws 🐾
I think might look for the fan for my desk area but that's about it. It's not a cordless rotary I have that in another brand was hoping for cordless so I can slowly get all one brand for home
Ive never paid for Craftsman V20 batteries. Every time I bought a tool, I got a free charger and battery combo. Now I’ve got about six or seven 4ah and two 1.3ah batteries. For home owner use, they’ve been more than adequate. If I had to make my living with my tools I think the craftsman line would last at least until I can my pay check to buy contractor grade tools probably Milwaukee to keep the red color going - I mean because of reviews and stuff.
Thanks for letting me know about these, especially the rotary tool. I've been in the V20 line for a couple of years now and that would be a good addition to the collection.
Got the inverter a few weeks ago, its definitely useful for anything under 150W, including soldering irons so you dont need the soldering attachment if you already have one. The inverter is great for powering LED lights with a socket adapter. You know those super bright 30W+ garage/attic type lights? yep they can be used on the inverter with a socket adapter lol, and even LED Floodlight style lights for the hell of it. The USB-C port is samsung fast charge capable even though its supposed to be a 5V output, so nice to have. Another note: Power hungry devices like Fans wont be too happy with the power being supplied. With a 66W Floodlight load it runs at 59.xHz and 121V in case anyone was curious about the output of the outlet. All in all its a nice thing to have for a Mini UPS, connect a surge protector to it (just in case) and you're good to go.
Still not enough reason to get into the craftsman line, quality just isn't there and far too few tools. They are way late into this game that ryobi has lived in for decades. I ran some ryobi tools along side my dewalt when still working as a commercial electrician. The fan ryobi had that wasn't one of these goose neck fans but more like a small box fan was one tool that went on every job and stayed on the lifts when working in warehouse ceilings running pipe. It can be upwards of 140° at the beams and that fan moved enough air to make it bearable to do the work without having to drop to the ground every ten minutes to cool down.
Since I have a bunch of there batteries/tools I will probably grab that invertor. I might not use it a lot, but I can think of a couple of things that would make my life better to grab a battery and that vs dealing with the extension cord. I really want them to come out with a hot glue gun.
Been in V20 line for a couple years doing my home reno and woodworking, but the lack of options has been a thorn in my side. Literally just bulk ordered into Ryobi and am selling all my Craftsman stuff since Ryobi had so many options and constant innovations. For a lower price point to boot. Not to mention I am confident that their battery platform will be a constant going forward. This video just told me Craftsman is just trying to catch up if anything. Thanks for the info 👍🏽
Modern craftsman is a much newer brand than Ryobi. It will take a while to become a true competitor. I don't personally use either brand, but they are an incredible value for a DIY/homeowner or small scale pro. I recently did a project with a buddy who uses Ryobi. I was unimpressed, but the tools work for sure.
I'm looking at moving to dewalt xr. Just need a couple tools and can't even get craftsman to reply to emails. I love the ones I've got but thiers a couple dewalt has and craftsman hasn't put out.
@@medlytek Feel that! The XR line is solid, a friend has them and they are enticing. Good power and reliability. Sucks we all ended up jumping ship since Craftsman isn't expanding effectively 😑
Price to performance SBD-CRAFTSMAN takes the cake almost all my lime green Ryobi tools fail on me. These Craftsman tools I've been beating up for the last three years, they don't look it but they run like brand new. My corded Ryobi navy blue tools have been with me for the last 10 years and still run perfectly fine but when they switch to lime green All quality went out the window. These Craftsman tools have DeWalt quality with a Stanley discount and a Craftsman warranty.
It's starting to sound like 49.99 is the old 19.99 😂😂😂 Even Ryobi offer less than 49.99 for cheesey products and Ryobi's tend to work for longer periods. I Miss Craftsman when they were Sears.
I’ve worked under Fock that have from 20 - over 50 years of experience all the way from CA to HK in handy man work and non of them have ever herd of seen or used this bread….. RIDA Cordless Drill 20V Electric Power Drill Set. I was wandering if ya could review it. Tnks
I have some of the V20 line. I would consider getting the rotary tool, but that’s about it. I have a serious soldering iron, so that one would probably disappoint me. The other tools don’t really interest me
I bought a duel drill makita kit bout 8 years ago and ever since then I’ve only bought makita 18/36V tools since I already had that line w charger/batteries- I don’t understand the point of buying several different cordless brands but yet I see it on here all the time -
1. The bundle deals can make different brands the best value while buying. 2. Some virtue in having a cheap line some tools and an expensive one for tools you like more. 3. The channel caters to people with every platform/brand you can imagine so he showcases every platform/brand you can imagine.
There is no brand that is the best at them all. Having several different brands isn't an issue to me. If you have all of them at home and they are all stored near each other as they likely are, then why does having different ones matter? Get what is best or what is value, or what is on sale, etc and use them all. Only people that have a business where they carry a few tools can I see the hassle of multi brands.
Don't I just bought it because someone gave give card for Lowe's so I bought it I also have the inverter which I use my plug in dremel works great but I said let me give this a try man I was so disappointed it's cuts out 5 to 10 times before I cut a 10 penny nail
We all know that they often retool some of the 20V craftsman line from the Dewalt power tools. So, what I want to know is why aren't they expanding some of the Dewalt products along with this? I guess this market for hobby tools is not as big as the others since I don't see any of the large manufactures besides Ryobi and Worx participating. I personally don't know anyone who has invested in the craftsman line. Dewalt has an 8v, and 12v line that could be benefiting from some of these specialty tools. I would kill for a Dewalt soldering iron, and a small compact die grinder like Milwaukee's. Only time will tell, I guess.
Because they dont need to be plugged in to a wall. "No cords" is only one advantage to cordless tools. The major advantage is the fact that you can use them anywhere even if theres no power. I have the dremel and its great for a lot of things and I am waiting for the soldering iron to come i stock to order it. I have a pencil soldering iron that can work off battery packs but the tips are pretty pricey so hopefully the craftsman will work out better.
I purchased the magnifying glass and it does work ok, not as flexible as it should be. Also purchased a grinder that is Handy to have but not as powerful as a corded tool
Hmmmm, it seems that these tools were made for light-duty use. It may be an option for somebody out there. However my applications are mostly yard stuff, drilling and automotive. Realistically I could see myself using the fan if I'm in a tight spot where there's so much heat inside and I'm sweating lol. I wish there was a place where I could find Craftsman cordless tools specifically, used or factory refurbished just like direct tools. Amazon is the only place if im lucky.
I recently bought a new Craftsman gas mower with the Honda engine because I never used anything else. Took it back the next day. What a wobbly plastic piece of junk.
I'm a Ryobi fan, have many of them. But the Ryobi Oscillating multi-tool sucks! The new Crasftsman Oscillating Multi-tool is 100% better, it's my first Crasftsman cordless power tool and I love it.
I have to say , having held craftsman cordless tools in hand , they felt cheap, lightweight and didn’t inspire any confidence in their longevity or capability .
Ok I am finally buying into the v20 line loo these tools convinced me
It is pretty much like you said. Good add-ons if you are already in the line of tools. As I have always said any tool that gets the job done is a good tool for me!

Hello again Red and Mrs. Bear
Thank you for another Great Video.
If you jump on the Craftsman Day sale you can get one for free if they are in stock.

Craftsman is playing catch-up with Ryobi in terms of total offerings, but I like what they are doing.
I only have one craftsman power tool, the versa stack radio. I got it on sale with a battery and I love it. Great for yard work, beach trips, in the shop. I might have to add the fan to my line up
Great radio
Dust buster is awesome. Don’t know how I lived without it.
Have the iron and the rotary tool, both great mobile options 👍
Use the soldering iron for auto repairs at work and the rotary tool primarily for puppy paws 🐾
Huh, never thought of using a rotary tool for trimming dog nails. Might try it.
Also is the soldering iron any good in the long term?
I think might look for the fan for my desk area but that's about it. It's not a cordless rotary I have that in another brand was hoping for cordless so I can slowly get all one brand for home
Picked up the mirror at ACE. No where else locally had them.
Craftsman needs to add a cordless trim router to this list.
Agree. I've been waiting for one.

These are advanced homeowner/ professional they're better than ryobi and kobolt

The BEAR household [probably]... Mrs. Bear - I'm hot... Mr. Bear - Yes you are... Do we have COVID AGAIN?!?!?!
I was going to buy the rotor tool and then I seen the inverter so I bought that instead now I just plug my dremel into it and it works great
Would love to see these sold as a set with interchangeable tools like the Worx kit. That set is sweet!

Temperature controlled soldering iron? Or does it just keep getting hotter until it burns up the tip? Replacement tips available?
V20 is my secondary platform, and a few of these might be nice to have.
I picked up the cordless butane soldering iron at HF. have not used it yet. I had one from Radio Shack was great.
Don't forget that it's also brushless lol!
@@MikeBrown-ii3pt yes sir I checked that first thing. But refillable.
Lowes has a huge Craftsman sale going on that worth the regular joe getting into that line..

For a soldering iron if you could make an adapter to work with a ts100 would be a lot better I assume
Have the Craftsmsn radio, would love another V20 tool, however all their deals are lackluster.
I have the power inverter and I use it to power LED lights with a 9 amp hour battery.

Hoping that they will have a Makers combo bundle.
Waiting for the Skil 12v fan and 12v bug 🪲 zapper? Is that possible?
Have to agree with you on the soldering iron not seeming great with a lithium Ion battery…
But it is cool that they are expanding the line.
I would love to see a Router and bit set. Cmon Craftsman.
Router and a hot glue gun. That's the last 2 I need. I can do without the glue gun but come on we need the router.
Can you find out if they are going to make a v20 table saw?
I purchased the magnifying glass and it does work ok, not as flexible as it should be. Also purchased a grinder that is Handy to have but not as powerful as a corded tool

Cpo has refurbished craftsman v20 products at times
I don’t see a tool in the bunch!!
I have both Ryobi soldering irons great for auto wiring repair. Would take Ryobi over craftsman. Shine on bear.
Should the name still be Craftsman or should it be called “Craftsman” now?
Me I doubt I will ever buy another Craftsman tool. I have enough old tools that I can't get warranty for.
