You are correct, to use HDMI 2.1 your console has to support hdmi 2.1 at 48 gbps of bandwidth. I have the 50 in Vizio m506x-h9 and it is one badass 4k tv. If you play PS4 on one of these TV's and your colors look a little greyed or washed out, switch the Vizio tv color space range from RGB to YCbCr. For some reason either the tv or PS4 limits the RGB range on the console even when set to auto or full RGB range and the colors look bad even if the tv full color 4.4.4 is on . Switching it to YCbCr fix's it for some reason.

I was checking out Vizio v series but after going to 4 different stores and all 4 vizios had the exact same kinda screen failing in the lower right hand side all in the same spot . Lg always looks kinda washed out to me . I ended up caving and got a Samsung au8000. Best features vs least problems . Every Samsung had great picture even ones that had been running nonstop for nearly a year no led light problems and so on. Hisense looked good too but they had screen issues I saw in store too with judder and tearing rampant . And just pixelation bad even though all the TVs were on the same video. The white whale is the Sony x80k/j x85 k /j Around 550 to 700 new open box 520-600 best buy.
I got a 75 in Vizio V series I don’t think I can get the hdr settings or the pro gaming engine but I have a regular Xbox one I guess ima just have to wait til I get a Xbox one x
This is great! Thank you. I knew about eco mode. I just got a vizio 58" M7 and have it have it hooked up to an Xbox series s I am seeing a bit more jitter than expected and your solution seems great. I am curious which TV you were showing that could push 4K at 120. And also, what the best settings would be for my setup. I assume from your video to turn off low latency & VRR on the Xbox. Go into TV settings and turn off there and enable clear action. I saw that you went back into the TV settings and re-enabled HDR. Is that correct? And thank you for this. Much better than some review channels with giant followings. They do not get into the details or explain in ways that you were able to, so many thanks to ya man!
Great video 👏🏿👏👏🏼. I just got my 50M7 & 65PQX. Gonna set em up on Sunday. I have been reading horror stories of how the new firmware update has washed out the colors in all the new Vizio models. Did you do the firmware update? If so did you have those issues?
Joshsmoove I returned both Vizios😢 50MQ7: Pros: None Cons: Viewing angles gets a 1/10. Only looked good if u sat directly in front of it. Anything more than 2 steps to the side and all the color washes out. The 11 yr old Vizio it replaced looked far better. - It would not connect to WiFi even after a 55 minute support call. One saving grace is Vizio offered to replace it. - Exchanged it for an 49LGNano85. The color was perfect out of the box w/excellent viewing angles, 9/10 65PQX: Pros - Runs smooth as silk w/my Xbox One S & PS4 Pro. Looked sooo good & I felt no input lag - 4K looked incredible - Viewing angle 7/10 Cons - serious difficulties connecting to WiFi - completely lost picture 1st time connecting to the Xbox. I had to turn off ALM & VRR on the tv & Xbox - Non 4K (tv & movies) did not look good. Blacks were completely crushed + flickered - Dialing in the color was far beyond me. I would have needed to get it calibrated - I exchanged it for a Sony 65X90CH. Great picture out of the box. Viewing angle 8/10 - Both Sony & LG have excellent pictures for 4K & non 4K - The Sony is my gaming tv. It was just as smooth playing on both systems as the PQX. - Both the Sony & LG connected to my WiFi network almost instantly - The Vizio’s looked so good on paper. Unfortunately for me it was written on toilet paper 🧻
I just bought a visio D40F G9 and its suppose to be a 2020 model. The Manual Download from Visio says D40F1, and they show a V button to press on remote I dont have. I have been trying to get the new tv to mirror my PC and cant get it to do it. Cant get sound with HDMI to work with my Asus DX1 Soundcard either...
Nice video, I just bought the P75Q9-h1 and my jaw dropped. AMAZING black levels. AMAZING HDR. I'm only running on a PS4 slim though. Still, the IQ Ultra Processor does a phenomenal job of pushing those graphics.. smooth smooth gaming, and makes blurays look almost 4k. Beyond happy with this investment. I am however wondering if I have to change the HMDI color output range mode to full? I have seen several people do that in last years and the 2018 model, but I dont see an option to do that on the menu. If you found it please reply.. I bought the 75 p series quantum and it will only let me adjust the backlight and brightness, all other picture settings are blacked out and wont let me adjust them, any ideas?? I'm getting ready to take the tv back and get my money back!!
Ok, so in the beginning he is the screen mode “game”, then later he is using the “Calibrated Dark” mode. So which does he use for playing games? I hVe the MQ7 version and was curious as mine has several things grayed out in the game mode. I am experiencing this issue on both my ps4 and my Xbox one s.
Nodesza 0 Well, that fixes the first picture settings menu, however the advanced menu has a bunch of things grayed out too! Things such as black detail and local contrast cannot be adjusted. I figured out it did not matter if you in calibrated or bright or game picture mode. As long as I use my hdmi connections to games systems, I have limited adjustment abilities. So basically it depends on what your source Input is. When I use the main streamcast input I can adjust ANY SETTING in the picture settings. I don’t know if it is because I have video game systems connected and the system automatically goes into a game mode setting of some kind or if I connected something else to those hdmi connections I would get complete picture control. I have nothing else to put into those hdmi connections. It bothers me mostly because I know I will be playing dvds,Blu-ray’s and 4K discs through at least the Xbox. Not having access to all the picture controls when doing that could be a problem. Not to mention the fact that my TV Streamcast went stupid and would not work at all on just the second day I owned it. I had to factory reset to get it to work again. I hope it does not do that again.

To further complicate the matter. I tried going into a different game on the ps4 and found a lot of settings grayed out again. So it seems some games allow you to customize the picture settings and some don’t. However, no game I have tested so far has allowed you to change the advanced picture settings. This seems rather odd and more complicated than it needs to be. I would advise you to call Vizio before you make that settings video. It appears there is nothing easy about them.

I have the same 65 inch Vizio I honestly game better in a 27 inch monitor. Also have 50 inch TVs in every room. The 27 is at my tire shop along with a 32 inch. Don’t compare to the 27 inch. Vizio. 3 TVs at home and two at my shop.
@@Roman0005 There is but it's not in stock yet. Also, I would recommend the regular quantum if you are less than than 12 feet away. The quantum x can be super bright if you are around 7-10 feet away.
Value Tech Cents it’s a shame vizio stopped doing 55 inch p series after 2018. Vizio is limited in 120hz TVs only option is vizio oled and p series. I thought it was only sold directly from amazon only

Value Tech Cents 2020/2021 vizio panels are from LG with oled and other models. 9/13 Best Buy getting the vizio oleds. I have not yet seen new p series yet.
For me it sucks I'm on a ps4 and the video looks ugly man I bought a 40 inch 4ktv v series it doesn't allow me to change certain settings when im on ps4 like contrast, sharpness, tint and color why???
@@anthonymichael7336 yeah I read some stuff and also found some TH-cam videos. The only way to get true 120 is by getting 2020(21) p series. I bought the p series quantum x. It's a 2019 and will only do 120 in 1080. Not up to 1440 like the newer version. Dont get me wrong. Picture is still amazing. I love watching movies in vision and atmos and these tvs look amazing but aren't quite as good at gaming as first though. That said pricing tvs that do 120 at 1440 or higher you are spending over a grand. I mean true 120 so don't feel too bad. If yours is a 2020 model you will get the 1ms in computer mode if connected to pc. Mine was model yr right before that.
Ay, man. Have you experienced any problems with the TV? I’m getting the new M8 in a few days because of your videos, but so many people been talking about automatic shut downs, losing sound or mutes audio when a scene is too quiet, remote control becomes unresponsive, flickering, permanent black spaces, and more. The Glorious Penguin Word of advice, don’t get overhyped about non of these tv’s! I do these videos to show yall where I feel like the value is with these tv’s but none of them are immune to issues! I usually don’t buy at launch! The only reason I purchased this tv was to test out some of the new features Vizio is coming with! There are always problems at launch 🚀 and with some brands more often than others but if you have that immediate itch to purchase, I would buy an extended warranty. Something like the geek squad warranty at best buy or something like that! Then you can rest assured that you are covered! I think the manufacturers warranty is for a year but I always get the extra warranty! 💯

I’m confused, I bought the Walmart version of the M series (M656-H4). Not many reviews of it. Is it a 2019, 2020, 2021 version? It has ProGaming Engine in the settings. Also HDMI 2.1 and eARC.
NO LINES SHOULD BE ON YOUR SCREEN!! EXCANGE IT IMMEDIATELY and spend the little extra money to get an M Series! Even if you can't afford the most expensive one you will be better off with the M Series than the V Series! 💯

That’s not correct...do not leave input settings to auto. My new Xbox didn’t recognize as my tv having HDR or any enhancements. I had to switch from auto to HDMI 2.1 and then it worked.
strawhat101 james I Have the PS4 Pro and the auto game low latency mode and the hdr feature both work on the PS4 Pro! The only feature that you will not be able to use is the variable resfresh rates! PS4 does not support this feature!💯

Michael Adams A lot of led lcd Tv's display some degree of vertical banding and on some its more noticeable than on others but if it is distracting, I would definitely exchange it for another one! 💯
Just need to share, I own a 2021 P series the 65” for 1,199. Amazing picture but it is now garbage. The Tv has begun flickering where it’s like sections of the backlight turn off. I really wanted the QC issues about them to be untrue but, I would stay away.
Value Tech Cents I’m disappointed because this hasn’t been my experience with all Vizios. I’ll be going through the pain of bringing it back tomorrow :(. It seems primarily limited to the full dimming set to high. It started once I enabled hdr within windows and then it happened again while on PlayStation. Such a bummer! I hope anyone else that already has a series has better luck than me.
Probably too late to chime in, but I'm reading all over how the latest firmware messed up VRR and causes flickering. Your TV might be fine, just needs the new update to roll out. I just got mine and loving it so far (first 4K TV). Gonna put some of these settings through the test. Finally have something to out my One X to work.
Liquid Sword thank you! Yeah unfortunately I had since returned it. I don’t know if it was attempting to use it with the console and pc, it was just weird. I ended up with a Sony 900h. I didn’t think I’d notice much of a difference but Sony’s processing does do a great job and essentially simulating hdr on highlights almost to an oled level. It just came at a price of $400 more for the 65” :(

Your V Series is different from mine. Mine has a v-gaming engine, yours has a pro gaming engine. Mine is the 2021 model.

The xbox series x is a 2.1 and so is the ps5 i own them both and if you switch it too 2.1 on the tv you will get 4k 120hz

I have the same 65 inch Vizio I honestly game better in a 27 inch monitor. Also have 50 inch TVs in every room. The 27 is at my tire shop along with a 32 inch. Don’t compare to the 27 inch. Vizio. 3 TVs at home and two at my shop.

@@Roman0005 There is but it's not in stock yet. Also, I would recommend the regular quantum if you are less than than 12 feet away. The quantum x can be super bright if you are around 7-10 feet away.

Value Tech Cents it’s a shame vizio stopped doing 55 inch p series after 2018. Vizio is limited in 120hz TVs only option is vizio oled and p series. I thought it was only sold directly from amazon only
PrimeTimeGamer I totally agree with you on that my G! I was in the market last year for a 55 inch and I bought the M8 because the P Series and PQX started out at 65 inches! The 55 inch OLED will be the best priced OLED in the game! 💯
Value Tech Cents 2020/2021 vizio panels are from LG with oled and other models. 9/13 Best Buy getting the vizio oleds. I have not yet seen new p series yet.
For me it sucks I'm on a ps4 and the video looks ugly man I bought a 40 inch 4ktv v series it doesn't allow me to change certain settings when im on ps4 like contrast, sharpness, tint and color why???
What is the difference between th V gaming engine and pro gaming engine. I've seen some box say v gaming and some say p gaming
Visio M series is what i got it has the pro gaming , it says it has 120hertz but thats not true its really only at 60hertz , I'm kinda disappointed.
@@anthonymichael7336 yeah I read some stuff and also found some TH-cam videos. The only way to get true 120 is by getting 2020(21) p series. I bought the p series quantum x. It's a 2019 and will only do 120 in 1080. Not up to 1440 like the newer version. Dont get me wrong. Picture is still amazing. I love watching movies in vision and atmos and these tvs look amazing but aren't quite as good at gaming as first though. That said pricing tvs that do 120 at 1440 or higher you are spending over a grand. I mean true 120 so don't feel too bad. If yours is a 2020 model you will get the 1ms in computer mode if connected to pc. Mine was model yr right before that.
Ay, man. Have you experienced any problems with the TV? I’m getting the new M8 in a few days because of your videos, but so many people been talking about automatic shut downs, losing sound or mutes audio when a scene is too quiet, remote control becomes unresponsive, flickering, permanent black spaces, and more. I wanna get hyped for the TV, but this shit been stressing me out
The Glorious Penguin Word of advice, don’t get overhyped about non of these tv’s! I do these videos to show yall where I feel like the value is with these tv’s but none of them are immune to issues! I usually don’t buy at launch! The only reason I purchased this tv was to test out some of the new features Vizio is coming with! There are always problems at launch 🚀 and with some brands more often than others but if you have that immediate itch to purchase, I would buy an extended warranty. Something like the geek squad warranty at best buy or something like that! Then you can rest assured that you are covered! I think the manufacturers warranty is for a year but I always get the extra warranty! 💯

I’m confused, I bought the Walmart version of the M series (M656-H4). Not many reviews of it. Is it a 2019, 2020, 2021 version? It has ProGaming Engine in the settings. Also HDMI 2.1 and eARC.

NO LINES SHOULD BE ON YOUR SCREEN!! EXCANGE IT IMMEDIATELY and spend the little extra money to get an M Series! Even if you can't afford the most expensive one you will be better off with the M Series than the V Series! 💯

That’s not correct...do not leave input settings to auto. My new Xbox didn’t recognize as my tv having HDR or any enhancements. I had to switch from auto to HDMI 2.1 and then it worked.

strawhat101 james I Have the PS4 Pro and the auto game low latency mode and the hdr feature both work on the PS4 Pro! The only feature that you will not be able to use is the variable resfresh rates! PS4 does not support this feature!💯
Hey bro bought the new M8-H1 wondering if I should return it. It's really nice got it dialed in really nice but there is some vertical banding in 2 spots on the screen any thoughts
Michael Adams A lot of led lcd Tv's display some degree of vertical banding and on some its more noticeable than on others but if it is distracting, I would definitely exchange it for another one! 💯

Just need to share, I own a 2021 P series the 65” for 1,199. Amazing picture but it is now garbage. The Tv has begun flickering where it’s like sections of the backlight turn off. I really wanted the QC issues about them to be untrue but, I would stay away.

Value Tech Cents I’m disappointed because this hasn’t been my experience with all Vizios. I’ll be going through the pain of bringing it back tomorrow :(. It seems primarily limited to the full dimming set to high. It started once I enabled hdr within windows and then it happened again while on PlayStation. Such a bummer! I hope anyone else that already has a series has better luck than me.
Probably too late to chime in, but I'm reading all over how the latest firmware messed up VRR and causes flickering. Your TV might be fine, just needs the new update to roll out.
I just got mine and loving it so far (first 4K TV). Gonna put some of these settings through the test. Finally have something to out my One X to work.
Liquid Sword thank you! Yeah unfortunately I had since returned it. I don’t know if it was attempting to use it with the console and pc, it was just weird. I ended up with a Sony 900h. I didn’t think I’d notice much of a difference but Sony’s processing does do a great job and essentially simulating hdr on highlights almost to an oled level. It just came at a price of $400 more for the 65” :(
