There are a lot of neat test you can do with a sweep generator that make troubleshooting and doing alignments easier. I wouldn't say I would be lost without one but it definitely makes my life easier. Another handy probe is the type that came with most signal tracers. It was a AF/RF probe and had a switch built into it.
Very interesting and instructive. I build a high voltage differential probe that convers from 50 Hz to 800 kHz. I want to test the flatness. I applied a sweep signal from a FY 6900 generator but the amplitude variations are small and hard to see. I was thinking of using a demod probe to see the variations. How would you modify the Heathkit probe described in the video to cover the above mentioned frequency band. Thank you very much. Regards, RJM
Hello. I like your video, very interesting. Can you tell me how they call the connectorwith the broun base, I have a old tester and need It to make It work, Thanks for any help and where to buy It. Best for you.

Informative as always, Thank You!
If anyone is wondering about the diode part number it is a germanium 1n87

thanks sir i have a sweep signal generator how i use for alignement FI radio and tv
Will the heathkit probe work for an Eico model 150 Transisterized signal tracer?

Female Amphenol is a SO-239. A guy can't get away with anything anymore. Someone will watch and listen to you.
