I mean in the Gatcha cast he literally said something among the lines of " in tekken to goal is to not let the enemy play the game you launch them and juggle them to infinity until they are dead" which could technically be true if you know nothing about the fighting games it self, but the goal in tekken for example is obviously to win but to achieve that you will not spend hours labbing combos like a dumass so that you can just press them blindlessly to prevent the enemy from attacking, you will learn 2 or 3 good ones and the rest of the game is basically footsies/spacing where you will dance with your enemy trying to bait them in to making a mistake so you can punish them with your crazy juggle that prevent to enemy from playing the game. So the core of the game is basically you judging and testing your enemy and pretty much interacting a lot with them and not what he said, you prevent the enemy from playing the game lol Basically bro knows nothing at all and pretend he does by throwing out lingo at people that don't play fighting games to make it sound like he knows his shit xD

I played 3 gacha games. Pgr Wuwa Ba. Took me less than 2 hours per day to do all 3 dailies. When new content came out i just spend my weekends clearing them. It's not hard to make time for yourself, but i guess it is easy to make excuses😂

The issue with ALL gatcha games is that they are DESIGNED to have diminishing returns of time to progression, and if you exhaust the content, you're supposed to take it easy and use your Energy. It's the equivalent of playing through all of Elden Ring, exploring the map fully, then saying that it doesn't respect your time because you ran out of progression after hitting level 999 and finding all the items lmao. If you're at that point, chill out and wait for the DLC to drop! Or understand that you've exhausted the current content. Also he uses being a content creator as a shield, saying he needs special privileges to pump out a steady stream of content.... No game OWES you that lmao. If someone wants to say the game is easy because they have an E6 5 star character, that is not a valid point because that is not relatable to vast majority of players. If you want to talk about If it's entertaining to watch people use those characters, sure. But it depends on what the context is. I can't tell you yanqing is a tier 0 character because I have him at E6 with max imposed 5 star LC and perfect relic rolls. Not relatable in the slightest. Hope that makes sense

Wuwa takes so much less time than Pgr for me however after you clear Wuwas story there's nothing to do beyond random chests and using stamina I have no idea how wuwa takes more time, I would know I played 777 hours of genshin and I'm playing wuwa less because there's LESS
I might be wrong about this and iyo probably isn't talking about what I'm saying (watched the whole video and already forgot everything he said my memory is just bad) I think people who play genshin or Star rail or other Gacha games they do their dailies and spend the stamina on Lvl material or artifacts/relics then they're done with it for that day unless they spend money or primos to refresh. (Is pgr the same as wuwa and you can farm more without using any stamina?) In wuwa you do exactly the same thing as other Gacha games but you have the OPTION to farm the entire map for echo's and having the option to do it makes people think it takes too much time While in reality it's just a option for people that want the perfect echo and will spend hours getting that echo Farming every single enemy in the map isn't part of you're daily grind and probably shouldn't be. @@LUCAS420BLZ

Iyo is solely responsible for getting me into watching content creators on gacha games. Genuinely his way of thinking when it comes to units/build crafting is what got me there. I dont think its a bad take at all. the idea he is trying to get across is unfortunately missing because he doesnt know how to articulate it well. he is basically saying that wuwa combat is not good because the game doesnt force you to engage with the system. it has all these cool ideas and its super fun but the game never ever throws anything at you that poses a threat or forces you to engage in this lovely system. ToA is 3 boring floors with no parry at all because you cant parry non boss mobs, then 3rd floor is just elites which are sponges that barely feel like you actual do anything to them (they have little to no visual feedback) and the final floor is a boss and bosses only have the parry mechanic in them and the rest of the combat system reverts to normal gacha game standard because of it. this is the core issue I have with WuWa, it has this lovely combat system that you cant ever engage with because the normal mobs are far too weak and appear in super tiny groups and then the bosses are just parry simulation. ZZZ fixes this problem by allowing you to parry every single enemy so the combat feels more engaging overall. it might not be as in depth (i think it is more in depth but that is just personal opinion on what depth is) but it allows you to always engage with every part of the combat system. tl:dr he is saying that wuwa combat doesnt force the players to engage with the full extent of the combat system they designed.

His take is already down the drain when all of this stylish doesnt work on enemy that cant be juggled which is almost every big enemy in shiyu defense. Its back to farming relic and getting the best dmg rotation for end content for every game.
@@kregman6928 I can see where you are coming from, indeed at certain points of the game we reach a point where we do not fully engage with the combat system. However, do note this situation would occur one day with ZZZ as well as did with wuwa/genshin/hsr etc. . Look at the anton cinema 1 tech that allows players to bruteforce through their own character energy mechanics by negating it. Please also also look at how players are now actively skipping the assist mechanic due to it taking up your damage window. At the end of the day ZZZ would actually end up like wuwa, being a parry simulation till the boss's toughness is down and then hitting it with your dps similar to wuwa. In fact we are not experiencing this problem now simply because we are still near the launch of the game where we have worse built units and worse knowledge on character tech and are thus forced to engage with character and boss mechanics more. So of course we are forced to engage with the mechanics more, because our units are built less and our own knowledge of the game is less extensive. As for the depth of the game, I would say my personal opinion is that since parry and dodge windows are objectively tighter in wuwa, we are forced to adapt our rotation more to enemy mechanics as we need to land our attack at the right time to parry. ZZZ on the other hand as long as the orange indicator flashes, pressing spacebar would parry it already regardless of mechanics (character does take damage though if they are in the middle of attack when swapping, I like that, makes it more in depth imo). In this regard I would say it is more in depth than ZZZ. I think like @yuunarukami8622 has stated, iyo has consistently proven his own points wrong and has been hypcritical. For example he states that wuwa is not respecting his time through echo farming and ZZZ is, and yet wuwa's echo farming is not limited by energy just by time spent farming whereas ZZZ requires energy to farm the disks. There are quite a few others but then again you can look at his list, I would recommend mrpokke account audit hsr for iyo to highlight his "issues". Then again I also appreciate a different perspective on iyo's point. ^^
I don’t get why he thinks the echo system is worse then HY’s system. WuWa’s system has 2 layers of RNG a main stat and a substat. Rolls exist in WuWa but the difference between a low roll and a high roll is not really that big enough to care. While in HSR/Genshin/ZZZ you have to get something with the right main, the right subs and then you have to pray it rolls good. That’s 2(.5) layers of RNG vs 3. Furthermore WuWa gives you an option to progress even if you run out of stamina. You can spend 7 hours if you want for echo pieces or if you just wanna spend stamina on tacet fields then that’s fine. At least you have options, while for HY’s system the artifacts are locked behind stamina so even if you want to progress it’s impossible and time/money gated. So both don’t respect your time, one just gives you an option to invest more time if you want. The only real issue with WuWa that has less to do with it’s system is the scarcity of echo exp & tuners (even though I personally don’t find it an huge issue) but yeah. On an objective level, WuWa’s system has less RNG factors that you have to deal with and you are more likely to get something you want.

It also plays into what I call the CC spiral. As a CC, you communicate to a large audience of people who might not know the full context of everything you’re talking about. In Iyo’s case, the reason why he’s on this impassioned anger fueled rant is indignation at having been on the receiving end of some toxicity. However when he’s making that rant he’s hitting with a wide aoe. Take someone like me, I only know Iyo from Tectone’s gatcha cast, so I’m not a part of the people he’s saying spreading toxicity. However, with him shitting on a game I like in such a wide manner, in the heat of things I might take it the wrong way and miss the nuances of his message, then feeling like I’ve been maligned unfairly I might make a post in anger shitting on Iyo in return. Especially if I feel like some of his criticisms are misinformed or aren’t supported by the facts. To that end, unless you’re like Tectone and farming hate for content all while tanking the blows and laughing about it, it’s better to be more careful as a CC and avoid accidentally clipping more than your intended targets with AoE attacks haha. After all it’s easier for one person to reign themselves in, than it is to expect all of thousands or more to take your passionate rage fueled rants with the proper nuance and respond level headedly. I've only been doing an hour or two of this game for the past month and I just recently cleared the main quest and is at UL 48 now. I just clear my waveplates everyday and enjoying the game as is. Character techs can definitely take you far in WuWa ToA. They're not just for show. For those characters that allow them of course. I'm not even talking about the character rotations that eventually just becomes a standard practice for someone who takes ToA properly. And the wuwa's newest character, Changli takes this to the next level because of how her kit are both multifaceted/dynamic, and allows animation slipping (different from animation cancelling). Also she can juggle and do air combat, which again rebuttles Iyo's other takes. If anyone would ask for a reference videos for the things I'm talking about, I would gladly give. There are A TON here in TH-cam.

However, it's a mechanic that is quite specific, and as not every fighting character has that, you don't hear that term often, except if a game has that kind of mechanic. Swapback Swapback is weird. I heard Swapback being used in team fighters (Dragon Ball Figheterz, Marvel VS Capcom) in which you force one of your opponent's character to come back on the field. Anyway, using any FGC term on Gacha games is cringe af and is just about showing the world he knows shit. He can say cancel instead of kara cancel, he can say swap instead of swapback, he can say hold the button instead of saying negative edge.

I think what Iyo doesn't understand is that the small amount of depth in ZZZ isn't rewarding like fighting games. In Tekken, I'm rewarded for knowing frame data, doing electrics/just frames, doing korean backdash etc.. In ZZZ there is no incentive to learn anything outside of mashing basic attack and parrying/dodging when you see the screen prompt. You'll clear the content either way and the reward for doing anything more is miniscule. I like ZZZ, but let's not compare it to fighting games.

The issue with ALL gatcha games is that they are DESIGNED to have diminishing returns of time to progression, and if you exhaust the content, you're supposed to take it easy and use your Energy. It's the equivalent of playing through all of Elden Ring, exploring the map fully, then saying that it doesn't respect your time because you ran out of progression after hitting level 999 and finding all the items lmao. If you're at that point, chill out and wait for the DLC to drop! Or understand that you've exhausted the current content.

I think people who play genshin or Star rail or other Gacha games they do their dailies and spend the stamina on Lvl material or artifacts/relics then they're done with it for that day unless they spend money or primos to refresh.

In wuwa you do exactly the same thing as other Gacha games but you have the OPTION to farm the entire map for echo's and having the option to do it makes people think it takes too much time

I dont think its a bad take at all. the idea he is trying to get across is unfortunately missing because he doesnt know how to articulate it well. he is basically saying that wuwa combat is not good because the game doesnt force you to engage with the system. it has all these cool ideas and its super fun but the game never ever throws anything at you that poses a threat or forces you to engage in this lovely system. ToA is 3 boring floors with no parry at all because you cant parry non boss mobs, then 3rd floor is just elites which are sponges that barely feel like you actual do anything to them (they have little to no visual feedback) and the final floor is a boss and bosses only have the parry mechanic in them and the rest of the combat system reverts to normal gacha game standard because of it. this is the core issue I have with WuWa, it has this lovely combat system that you cant ever engage with because the normal mobs are far too weak and appear in super tiny groups and then the bosses are just parry simulation. ZZZ fixes this problem by allowing you to parry every single enemy so the combat feels more engaging overall. it might not be as in depth (i think it is more in depth but that is just personal opinion on what depth is) but it allows you to always engage with every part of the combat system.
tl:dr he is saying that wuwa combat doesnt force the players to engage with the full extent of the combat system they designed.

His take is already down the drain when all of this stylish doesnt work on enemy that cant be juggled which is almost every big enemy in shiyu defense. Its back to farming relic and getting the best dmg rotation for end content for every game.
@@kregman6928 I can see where you are coming from, indeed at certain points of the game we reach a point where we do not fully engage with the combat system. However, do note this situation would occur one day with ZZZ as well as did with wuwa/genshin/hsr etc. . Look at the anton cinema 1 tech that allows players to bruteforce through their own character energy mechanics by negating it. Please also also look at how players are now actively skipping the assist mechanic due to it taking up your damage window.
At the end of the day ZZZ would actually end up like wuwa, being a parry simulation till the boss's toughness is down and then hitting it with your dps similar to wuwa. In fact we are not experiencing this problem now simply because we are still near the launch of the game where we have worse built units and worse knowledge on character tech and are thus forced to engage with character and boss mechanics more.
So of course we are forced to engage with the mechanics more, because our units are built less and our own knowledge of the game is less extensive.
As for the depth of the game, I would say my personal opinion is that since parry and dodge windows are objectively tighter in wuwa, we are forced to adapt our rotation more to enemy mechanics as we need to land our attack at the right time to parry. ZZZ on the other hand as long as the orange indicator flashes, pressing spacebar would parry it already regardless of mechanics (character does take damage though if they are in the middle of attack when swapping, I like that, makes it more in depth imo). In this regard I would say it is more in depth than ZZZ.
I think like @yuunarukami8622 has stated, iyo has consistently proven his own points wrong and has been hypcritical. For example he states that wuwa is not respecting his time through echo farming and ZZZ is, and yet wuwa's echo farming is not limited by energy just by time spent farming whereas ZZZ requires energy to farm the disks. There are quite a few others but then again you can look at his list, I would recommend mrpokke account audit hsr for iyo to highlight his "issues".
Then again I also appreciate a different perspective on iyo's point. ^^

I don’t get why he thinks the echo system is worse then HY’s system. WuWa’s system has 2 layers of RNG a main stat and a substat. Rolls exist in WuWa but the difference between a low roll and a high roll is not really that big enough to care. While in HSR/Genshin/ZZZ you have to get something with the right main, the right subs and then you have to pray it rolls good. That’s 2(.5) layers of RNG vs 3. Furthermore WuWa gives you an option to progress even if you run out of stamina. You can spend 7 hours if you want for echo pieces or if you just wanna spend stamina on tacet fields then that’s fine. At least you have options, while for HY’s system the artifacts are locked behind stamina so even if you want to progress it’s impossible and time/money gated. So both don’t respect your time, one just gives you an option to invest more time if you want. The only real issue with WuWa that has less to do with it’s system is the scarcity of echo exp & tuners (even though I personally don’t find it an huge issue) but yeah. On an objective level, WuWa’s system has less RNG factors that you have to deal with and you are more likely to get something you want.

Comments like that will drown out your good criticisms since it causes people listening to you to see red instantly and become defensive. It also plays into what I call the CC spiral.
As a CC, you communicate to a large audience of people who might not know the full context of everything you’re talking about. In Iyo’s case, the reason why he’s on this impassioned anger fueled rant is indignation at having been on the receiving end of some toxicity. However when he’s making that rant he’s hitting with a wide aoe. Take someone like me, I only know Iyo from Tectone’s gatcha cast, so I’m not a part of the people he’s saying spreading toxicity. However, with him shitting on a game I like in such a wide manner, in the heat of things I might take it the wrong way and miss the nuances of his message, then feeling like I’ve been maligned unfairly I might make a post in anger shitting on Iyo in return. Especially if I feel like some of his criticisms are misinformed or aren’t supported by the facts.
To that end, unless you’re like Tectone and farming hate for content all while tanking the blows and laughing about it, it’s better to be more careful as a CC and avoid accidentally clipping more than your intended targets with AoE attacks haha. I've only been doing an hour or two of this game for the past month and I just recently cleared the main quest and is at UL 48 now. I just clear my waveplates everyday and enjoying the game as is. And his reasoning that he is a content creator? Man you can make content without putting all your time in it. Seriously this guy is just shitting.

Character techs can definitely take you far in WuWa ToA. They're not just for show. For those characters that allow them of course.
I'm not even talking about the character rotations that eventually just becomes a standard practice for someone who takes ToA properly.
And the wuwa's newest character, Changli takes this to the next level because of how her kit are both multifaceted/dynamic, and allows animation slipping (different from animation cancelling). Also she can juggle and do air combat, which again rebuttles Iyo's other takes.
If anyone would ask for a reference videos for the things I'm talking about, I would gladly give. There are A TON here in TH-cam.

I play fighting games (specifically Tekken 8, was a professional player in my country back in Tekken 7) and comparing fighting game to a gacha game is ridiculously funny. Dude's crazy. I play ZZZ and Wuwa because I want to, not because I am a fighting game player. Imagine playing ZZZ or Wuwa because you want to improve your fighting game skills, it's like you want to learn basketball but you keep on training on a table tennis. Funny and ridiculous content.

However, it's a mechanic that is quite specific, and as not every fighting character has that, you don't hear that term often, except if a game has that kind of mechanic. Swapback Swapback is weird. I heard Swapback being used in team fighters (Dragon Ball Figheterz, Marvel VS Capcom) in which you force one of your opponent's character to come back on the field. Anyway, using any FGC term on Gacha games is cringe af and is just about showing the world he knows shit. He can say cancel instead of kara cancel, he can say swap instead of swapback, he can say hold the button instead of saying negative edge.

I think what Iyo doesn't understand is that the small amount of depth in ZZZ isn't rewarding like fighting games. In Tekken, I'm rewarded for knowing frame data, doing electrics/just frames, doing korean backdash etc.. In ZZZ there is no incentive to learn anything outside of mashing basic attack and parrying/dodging when you see the screen prompt. You'll clear the content either way and the reward for doing anything more is miniscule. I like ZZZ, but let's not compare it to fighting games.

Iyooooo pve games are balanced differently my guy you can't just infinite combo them. You should play some "Tales of" games. You can juggle the fuck out of them but they break out eventually because if they didn't, it wouldn't be balanced.
Even in fighting games you can't combo infinitely, at some point your opponent just drops out of it.
