Taroona Pty Ltd is a commercial Spanish Mackerel fishing company that has been operating out of Darwin, NT Australia for the last 40 years.
We are a family run, local business that has had to change and adapt due to this pandemic.
We are currently experiencing an extreme down turn in our interstate fresh markets, which has left us with 2 options; Either stop fishing and send everyone home, which isn’t really an option, or do what we are doing now.
We have created a shop front called "Mackerel Online", and are offering a delivery service to start selling our fish to the general public.
The shop we have created is out of one of our shed/storage facilities, which only allows us to sell freshly frozen pre packaged product straight from the boat!
