Lud's Church - Background to Folktale

Background/contextual information provided by author and Peak District folktale collector Mark Henderson concerning the folktales associated with the rocky chasm Lud's Church, near Gradbach, Staffordshire in the South West Peak. This short film is a companion piece to our separate film (also available on this channel) introducing the main folktale narrative associated with Lud's Church, centred on the group of "Lollards" (religious dissenting group) who were thought to worship there back in the 14th-century and who faced persecution for their beliefs.
