    great job Zeinab.... Zimbabwean here, at school was taught that Victoria Falls was discovered by David Livingstone and there is his statue there and my question was where were the Boma people then, were their eyes closed not to see the falls or something. its funny how our history has been blotted out and credited to others. Keep up the good work, our history is important

    Thanks you Zeinab Badawi for bringing this series to the world.As a African American I appreciate and value this new knowledge of our history.In the words of Wangari Maathai,you cannot enslave a mind that knows itself,That values itself.That understands itself.That is why I believe we were robbed of our own history in Africa to assume theirs.

    I recently came across Zeinab Badawi's Ted Talk where I first learned of the documentary series for the BBC 'History Of Africa'. I was so excited and went looking for this on BBC website and online - Nothing! There are clips and trailers on TH-cam like the one above but the complete documentary series seems to have been broadcast once in 2017 and then disappeared. As an African who is absolutely passionate about history, I would love to see this series and share it with my children who go to school in a country where all they know about Africa is slavery and colonization. Please make this series available not just to Africans around the world but also to the rest of the world who believe that Africa has no history, when the truth is ... Africa is where history began!

I’m interested in watching this series but I’m in Africa and can not access it through BBC so I have no way of getting educated about my history. I HOPE YOU SEE THIS, THANK YOU!

    This is also important for all cultures besides african culture, not all "paleskined" people agree on the history they have been tought.
    Exellent contributon on the world history, all humans have their origin derieved from Africa.
    I have pale skin but I think african history belongs to me too because all human kind can be traced back to Africa, and I certenly don't support slavory or old truth about human value.

    Student at 13:35 definitely needs re-education on African perspectives on religion! Christianity is not an African religion? When Christianity reached Ethiopia from the 4th Century! We need to be informed about the Faith of Christ from an African perspective rather than a European one! That's the problem!

    • @georgesekibo1081
      @georgesekibo1081 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apostle CMR Christianity originated from around the Nile valley and got popularised by the Europeans before then being introduced to Africa by French people and Spaniards before The Struggle for Africa and then became a major African religion through colonisation so no in fact Christianity is not an African religion as it did not originate in Africa.

    • @mikeaskme3530
      @mikeaskme3530 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Apostle CMR, everything you said may be true, but it is a safe bet the current doctrine and dogma of Christianity is clearly a European model, it was taken from Africa, repackaged and sent back with a Eurocentric ideological viewpoint on this there is no doubt. As for myself i prefer to interact with the creator the way my ancestors did, why you may ask, because there is nothing wrong with it. I dont need a blond hair blue eyed man to be the go between me and the creator.

    • @Generation633
      @Generation633 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@georgesekibo1081 Well based on your reasoning Christianity is not a European religion either because it did not originate there... And by the way while Christianity was being made popular in Europe by Constantine it was being made the State Religion of Ethiopia.

    Christianity is not an European religion, but a worldwide religion. The origin of Christianity is from Asia (Middle East). Even, Christianity came to Africa before the arrival of European, American, Latin American, Filipino, Indian from Goa missionaries, and so on: Christian Kingdons of Ethiopia and Sudan in early times. And Today's revival and modernization of Sub- Saharan Africa is linked to its Christianization from Catholic, Protestant and Christian Orthodoxy branches. That's history and reality. It's not ideology. The other issues (so bad and terrible) are colonialism of Western European empires: racism, slavery, looting of African natural resources and contempt of Africans' human dignity. In the past Christianity came to Europe by missionaries from Middle East, to Asia by missionaries from Western Europe and the Americas, to the Americas by missionaries from Western Europe, to Africa by missionaries from USA, Europe, Latin America and Asia. And today in North America and Western Europe there is arrival of Christian religious people and missionaries from Latin America, Asia and Africa.

    Galatians 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Africa is not the MotherLand. Since science hate God, evolution became man's created beliefs. Their are no competing history books or science books, challenging European's world documented accounts. So, all we will ever know is their views and opinions. I have to go to an old 1611 KJV, to get pass white's theories for all the true history i need. It tells me via timelines and the suffering of a people. Who are Israelites which were the slaves around the world. But, it has to be in the timelines God has for a certain people in the bible.
