- Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Is shaping up to be one of the stand-out titles in a long line of iconic Dragon Ball games. We had the chance to witness some closed-door, master gameplay firsthand at this year's gamescom latam and see some of the newly announced characters in action, watch in awe as fan favorites such as Mr. Satan and Future Trunks decimate the game's ultra-detailed landscapes, and we even got to play through a full round of the epic story mode and see why Sparking Zero is a worthy addition to the beloved Boudakai Tenkaichi series.
Hey Dragon Ball fans! Our silly American brains read the release date wrong because the rest of the world writes dates like month/day/year and not day/month/year like we do! Please enjoy the game in October and NOT November!

Not really you can easily jump in and ignore dragon ball with no issues they fill in most of those plot points as the story progresses anyway
they should really make a full fledged og dragon ball game tbh. maybe in kakarot's format
It's probably because most fights from Z onward are MASSIVELY different than anything from DB which ends up represented in the gameplay. Original DB wasn't really known for highspeed fights in midair with giants beams and explosions all over the place. The fights were much more grounded and traditional, so it'd feel out of place to mold them around the modern style, or require them to make an entirely different system. Kakarot literally had to do just that for the pre-Z DLC they added because the game only had midair combat before it.

This is an earlier build. The easiest way to tell is the health bar doesn’t shake and the character icon doesn’t light up when a character takes damage.

@@Fwench We have all of trunks' transformations from the cell saga that fights without his sword and a DBS trunks that has both base and ssj (which fills in for his rage transformation). There's no reason for a ssj2 trunks for the sake of a slightly different hairstyle.
