I'm currently a college student, and I see all these wealthy kids with these nice muscle and tuner cars and I bet half don't even know what it means to change oil or to rotate tires. They are not all like that but a good amount are like that. I've been fixing cars from a young age alongside my dad. And I find it absolutely annoying. problems not shifting or not knowing how to drive.. its traction... hard to find rubber in factory/road legal sizes that can handle 1000hp he would have to tub the rear end and run drag slicks to even utilize that much power proficiently... but being a street car with legal rubber there's only so much you can do before its wasted in slip.. you think this car is fast now?.. i'd love to see it with pro tires on it.. scary..

i think the windshield has a sun blocker, you know the kind of windshield that is painted on the top, the sun goes through but it's the same as wearing sunglasses that's why he just closes his eyes a little bit
+MrBananaSlice he stay a couple seconds in the same gear while at max rpm because he has to wait until the car reach the actual speed output from the wheel before shifting. for example: if he full throttle at 3rd gear and let say the 3rd gear reach 100mph at max rpm(engine rev crazy). at that point for a high hp car, the wheel will spin 100mph at max rmp while the actual speed of the car is 75mph, so the driver has to wait until the actual speed of the car reach around 95mph to catch the wheel spin and then shift it to prevent losing speed. hope this help.
I mean they’re cool and all in videos and pictures as all super/hyper cars but in person especially in the passenger seat it’s completely different reality, I been Tons of Supras, a couple GTRS, Corvettes, Porsches and Lamborghini aswell as some other stuff like my 2019 Zl1, a 350 mustang and what not but the feeling you get while in a fast car is breathtaking IRL.
Can't wait till I boost my FR-S. Imagine 2800 lbs with power like that Supra. I couldn't afford to maintain a 1000hp car nor build one but 400hp sounds like a good start for me.

Some of these comments are so uneducated and plain stupid. I know how to shift, you just need to realize what happens if you shift right before the limiter during wheelspin. Your wheels are spinning at 90mph and your car is moving at 60. Guess what happens in the next gear? Yes, you bog down and dont go anywhere. 2nd, the car hooks when I want it too. These videos were on old tires I didnt care about and in cold temperatures. A good drag radial after being warmed up hooks quite nicely

for 1000hp,a Viper would need a supercharger or turbo. So I'm referring to boosted Viper.That said,b/c it's got 8.0 to 8.4-liters of displacement,if you go into next gear too quickly upon first sign of current gear's wheelspin,you still have boat-loads (relatively) of non-boost torque to power you til boost hits.An 8.5:1 compression 3.0-liter just won't do that,and you lose if you shift too early.It's Just the nature of cc--the more you have,the fatter/torquier powerband (potentially).

If shifting is that much of an issue, then the solution is you need a taller diff ratio. It will make the gear shift times longer and give you more time to manage it plus it will bring down the torque so you can hook up easier and go faster. This is a case where less is more. Shorter diff ratio USUALLY make it accelerate faster until..... you have so much torque that it breaks the tires lose or you spend too much time on the chip because you cant shift in time, that you end up slower not faster

The reason he sits on the limiter is to stabilize the car before dipping the clutch,otherwise if he's correcting the car and dumps the power the grip is going to snap the car right of the road. He's doing it properly
That's why you use nitrous with a large single spool ;) The best way I've found is to run a direct port system set rich with an extra solenoid for a "dry" fan nozzle right after the intercooler to drop the charge temps. Just launch from 2nd n hit the juice!

By the sounds of each shift transition you can tell straight away that the tyre traction is insufficient to keep up with the power that Supra is pushing, traction is EVERYTHING, because power is NOTHING without grip.
Torque steer is only experienced in front wheel drive cars. The Supra is RWD so its not capable of experiencing torque steer. Torque steer is a characteristic of FWD cars because they have one drive shaft longer than the other, due to the transverse location of the engine and subsequent gearbox placement.
Dont worry about getting a fast car. We have here tourist speed driving lessons where you can max out almost any car on this planet with a professional driver. He will teach diffrent steering and maneuver technics. In Hockenheim there is a drivingschool for speed up to 350. You will first drive on race track, then on the Autobahn.
