Floors outfit is just out of this world as Floor, vocalist, performer, energy, power, stage presence, feeling instead just singing a song and commanding, Cloud control, integration with audience, her movements on stage, her open arms, her smiling and her „thank you“ at the end - she is a humble person. She gives me the feeling to perform for me/us. I can not stop to praise her. I am biased for sure. Not to forget Tuomas as a composer and all the NW-musicians. All over the top.

Those of us who came to know Nightwish later with Floor appreciate how both her and Troy's presence in the band have re-invigorated them, and further helped Tuomas ( keyboards/composer/lyricist) evolve the sound of the prior songs, and create 3 new albums of sophisticated symphonic/celtic/metal music with Floor. All worth listening to, including the original versions with Tarja and Anette. They were the ones who led the way and built Nightwish into the international group they are. At the famous Wacken 2013 headline concert, Floor was only singing on tour with the band for 10 months, and all the songs were written for the 2 prior singers. Floor sang them as they were ment to be sung, as well as making them her own. In some cases she enhanced a song like Ghost Love Score with a new ending which was amazing. It was a Tarja song. Anette could not sing it, but Floor asked to add it to the set list after she joined the tour to replace Anette( long story) so she could sing it, and blew it out of the park.

Tarja is very talented and a great opera singer. But after one or two songs, they all sound the same. Floor can do the opera parts, but brings much more color to the palette. Tuomas writes based on the singers voice. He’s done that with all 3 singers (Annette was between Tarja & Floor). Floor can sing all the songs that came before her & gives Tuomas a much wider range for his compositions than the other 2…IMO, of course. You can check out Ghost Love Score to hear Floor sing more like the operatic original Tarja performed. It still has her own style mixed in, but it’s a nice tribute to the OG. Thanks for that great reaction. Thats my opinion, too. In defense of the audience, I have to say that it does make a difference whether the concert is in Finland or Argentina. These countries couldn't be more different in terms of emotionality. The Finns are more introverted while the Argentinians are very extroverted. But for the rest I agree with you 100%.
All three singers are part of Nightwish all have their strong points and bring a personal flavour to the band. I always stay away from the "who's the best " for me there is only "I prefer this to that" . "the best " is referred to an objective quality , "i prefer " is a subjective quality.

Hello there!! No need to worry about who you prefer as a lead vocalist. I've been a NW fan since I saw them live for the first time in 1998, that was with original vocalist Tarja (pron. Tar-ya). All 3 lead singers have their own unique style, so it's a bit hard to compare. I prefer Floor with NW, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy Tarjas and Anettes stuff too (especially their solo stuff) And we can't forget Marko either, even though he quit the band... Atm Tarja and Marko are touring together and I'll see them live in the summer 🤘 Just keep on going and check all earas. Wishmaster with Tarja will be worth to check out, it's definitely Tarja song (End of an era concert live 2005) Anette wasn't too good live so... I personally prefer Floor, she has what a metal band needs and she added that metal flavor to the band that the previous one didn't add, and Floor still manages to add the operatic chants that are natural to the band's style, which is Symphonic Metal. I respect your opinion, and it's true, Tarja is absolutely a fantastic singer. However, in my opinion, she lacks something I do look for in an all-round singer, namely versatility. Which is exactly what I do see, and hear in Floor's voice, she has that gift of giving different colors to her voice. Also called versatility. Whether Tarja has that quality, I don't know, I've never been able to discover it. And that my friend, is MY opinion.
Tarja was voted 2nd place in the Female Metal Singer category (in total 97,905 votes) of the Metal Awards 2024 and Floor 3rd place :) 1st place Suzuka. Calling other people shit is... well, pretty shit
