    Just bought a grom yesterday! So fun! I drive a stick car for my daily and have for years, I have stalled a few times but it’s because I don’t trust myself on what gears I’m at and panic and stall. When taking off I go about 7 mph before letting go of the clutch completely

    Realistically , you fully release the clutch at a faster pace when taking off at around 5mph to 7mph. It all just happens so fast. You can do it at 2-3 mph but it will take a lot more time and you have to release a lot more slower and roll for a longer bit before releasing the clutch out all the way. It’s always fun though to experiment at all the different speeds and gears though!

    • @Srtkumari
      @Srtkumari 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So fully release at 7mph?

You can do either one, usually i put it in 1st gear and hold the clutch for about 10-15sec in case the green light turns on… if it doesn’t i might put it in neutral. I haven't learned a bike because I don't like them. I like motorcycles. 👍 should I start on an ebike?? Since I really hate getting started but I can keep it up once it's going.. I don't know why. 😕 I got on a Grom yesterday and I balanced it fine when they let me release the clutch..I wonder why it's easier 😅😂

    Now if one has mastered U turns and full lock handle bar turns and be able to go 1 mph with clutch control would these skills transfer over to say a 750 CC bike or are the big bikes way more difficult to handle and falling down is easier. And thanks for the video

    If you're at a red light in neutral. Can you just shift up to 2nd gear and accelerate until you're in the correct gear. Instead of shifting down into 1st and then back up through neutral and second gear.

    • @Drive315
      @Drive315  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for watching and subscribe, it doesn’t shift from 1st to neutral when you’re moving, only when the bike is stopped… and if you try taking of in 2nd gear it will be a very sluggish and miserable take off.
