- Hi everyone! I'm back with a last instalment of my Lanzarote Vlogs, taking you to the historic town of Teguise (more information below!). I hope you enjoy! :)

Situated in the north east of Lanzarote, the town of Teguise was one of the first settlements established in the Canary Islands. It was the Capital of Lanzarote until 1847. I visited on a Saturday, finding parking in the carpark in the centre of the town, near the market area. If you wish to visit on a Sunday you can also experience the famous Market, however expect the town to be much busier and more crowded. It would be worth checking the opening days and times of any museums you wish to visit, as a couple of them were closed on a Saturday.

So glad you made it to Teguise. As you saw, it beautiful. The cafes are so pretty and relaxed. So many lovely buildings and art. So much of Lanzarote people don’t realise is there. Great for you to promote the island.

We stopped off in Teguise on a day out around the island. We didn't get to see it all, so it was lovely to watch this video. Would love to visit again. Lanzarote is a beautiful island.

It looks so calm and low-stress there. No hustle and bustle. And quiet, too. I love that. I feel like people are so loud and obnoxious, now. I just want to stay home, where it's calm and nobody's yelling. The church was lovely. Have a great weekend!😊
Lanzarote was my first holiday away without my parents when I was 17! I loved it then (1987)!! Beautiful!!

We have been twice to Teguise but both times on a market day - it’s really busy and a huge market with lots of coaches/daytrippers/holiday makers. Looked so lovely with it being quiet and peaceful. We had to leave by 1:00pm but did manage a quick glimpse inside the church. Have really enjoyed the Lanzarote travel vlogs ❤

Cactus shirt, apropo - great look for the climate. The food- amazing, the prices of accommodation, car rental and food would be nice to know with its UK equivalent. Otherwise very nice island and 14th century vibe architecture.

Ah, my mum & dad had a timeshare there - Lanzarote Beach Club. Many happy memories - loved it there. ❤

Hi Mr C, teguise was nice, I stayed there 3yrs ago but I didn't like how barren it is, but I loved gran Canaria, Morgan it's called the little Venice so beautiful not as touristy. Check it out! Love your vlogs

We went to Lanzarote in 2022, we loved it and we visited the market, it was amazing and very busy. Regarding the car hire, I assume it was 95€/£? a day and no insurance cover? Thanks for sharing, you've got us thinking about our next holiday.😊
No it was for the entire trip with basic insurance 🙌😀 (I bought a separate excess insurance on top)

Hi lwan. I have a book called How to Read buildings, a crash course in architecture by Carol Davidson Cragoe. It's small enough to carry around with you. I got mine in a charity shop for 50p, but it is sold online. I love buildings❤😂

Playa Blanca is very laid back and think there is only one nightclub. Lots of lovely bars and places to eat. Have been going for over 30 years and went 3 times last year.

The pink "flowers" are not flowers, they are bracts on the Bougainvillea, a plant which is actually part of the vine family, which is why you commonly see them climbing up and over walls, buildings etc. Please do your homework.

We are heading off to Teguise in a few weeks. So great to get a wee look at some of the beautiful buildings. You’ve now got us really excited about our trip.

This looks like a really relaxing place to visit - non market days - and the buildings are great too. Did you notice the stonework behind you when you took the outro? Instead of mortar there was lots of small stones between the bricks. Interesting.

We love lanzarote. The market is fabulous on a Sunday. The bus is very cheap to get there but make sure to get bus back before last one about 1pm I remember when we last went 2015. Need to go again.
Can recommend going to the tallest building in Arrecife too. Views are fantastic from top floor where you can view on a balcony with glass floor.
I'm off to Teguise this year.. staying at The Grand.. I've never been to Lanzarote before so these vlogs do help give me an insight as what to expect.. Many thanks 😊
