Rubinia is actually my pet commander deck, it wins with stuffy doll and is incredible with pembin’s aura. I don’t play commander often but i put a ton of work into Rubinia
Frodo, Sauron's Bane is great fun as a commander with a deck built focused on protection, ring temptations, and making Frodo unblockable. Strong in Kingdoms variant of Commander too.
gaea's revenge is just one of those cards i absolutely love. during my best performing time as a drafter i won 3 out 4 weeks during august when magic origins was out. (i only won a few times not during this streak. i won with a w/b aggro, a mono white "why did you people pass me 2 consul's lieutenants!?" aggro deck that i still have and was the only deck i dominated a draft night with, and a blue/green control list. the 4th week i didnt get a cohesive deck but i got demonic pact and decided to have fun). my 3 pack opens were - gaea's revenge, flip nissa, and alhammeret (when i was already in blue). there was nothing more fun than dropping the revenge on turn 6 or 7 and hitting the opponent for a ton of life out of nowhere. sometimes it was the land topdecked, sometimes it was the revenge, sometimes the sphinx. i had the late game covered and just needed to stall enough to get there. such a fun deck, format, and set
I have been Waiting for a new Battle of Wits deck! I tried putting a deck list together recently. There aren't as many specific pieces as I thought but the card draw is so much better than the last time I saw BoW gameplay
I have a Goreclaw kitchen table stompy deck that I was rackkng my brain over for a tag team partner for Verdant Force at the top end & Gaea’s Revenge is a damn perfect fit 😁
Ring tempting was a great mechanic for limited, but for constructed, its kind of a lot ot words, i admit. I have some in my Doran deck for kind of skulk, though.
Ring tempts, dungeons and night and day are the worst mechanics. I don’t even keep track of night and day in arena where the interface does it for me. Needless convolution is so annoying. Only stickers are worse

I think Frodo probably deserves like a 5.62...? Mostly my experience playing against the card in commander games is that it kills one person at the table fairly early, and then does absolutely nothing for the rest of the game, which is a play pattern that I personally find fairly obnoxious. If you like frodo, and you like the ring temping you, I'd suggest you look at the frodo/sam partner commanders instead.

I love Battle of Wits! EDH is has so much redundancy at this point, I really think we should play "Witty EDH", and have decksize be 300 singleton.
The ring tempt is decent in my smeagol deck - it goes skulk, loot, basilisk touch, and opponents lose 3 life on combat damage
