so very beautiful, soulful and poignant. I wish I'd have been there, to experience the energy that this performance created. Spectacular audience interaction. I'd have been in musical heaven!
Is it just me or does the guy at 9:36 look like he is on his phone... I would have given anything to be there instead of he for it is really is the most glorious music, so glad folk is making a come back!
My pet hate. You splash out 50 quid on a ticket to hear these legends and you get some self-entitled oul crow trying to sing along with every tune like they're in a pub on a Saturday night. No clapping/no singing. Christy Moore had it right!
Of course they got it. They gave a standing ovation at the end. Why not just focus on the magnificent music rather than disparaging comments about the audience?

@@barrysmyth1954 I've seen the Gloaming numerous times, there is no doubt about their music. The issue as was pointed out by a number of people is that the audience, a) decided to clap along, b) couldn't clap in time
Most of the people at these large scale cultural events are the last people who be listening to this music regularly. The prawn sandwich brigade as Roy Keane would call them...
The greatest live trad performance of all time.....imo

Wow, that audience really didn't get it

that audience wouldn't know good music if it got in the shower with them
The audience were clearly appreciating the music. Very strange that your comment centres around the audience instead of the magnificent music
really?
